Stravos was incredible...

Stravos was incredible and full of knowledge. He kept us entertained throughout the bus ride with facts and stories about Greek economy, culture, and history. He did a great job of taking us through the site and museum and was clearly very passionate about his job. Logistics were all handled perfectly. Highly recommend! The lunch option was not bad but I would recommend exploring/finding a local tavern in the town instead.

Great tour, great tour guide

Our tour started right by being at the stated pick up point. Our guide, Sophia, was excellent. She did a great job of showing different phot ops with explanations of why they were an important part of beliefs of the time. She allowed plenty of time for people to get pictures and also to get to each point, reminding people that the walk up the hill is very uneven. She was very knowledgeable about the reasons these shrines were built and how they were used. Of course, the Parthenon was the last part of the tour and she gave it the respect it deserves. I’m sure she was aware that it is the main thing people wanted to see. But her whole tour seemed to be set up to set up to finish strong. Considering the tough cold and very windy conditions we had that day, she managed to keep everyone interested and in it to the end. The tour ended at after the Parthenon and we were allowed to stay and explore. We couldn’t have had a better guide.

Our guide, having grown up and worked in the area had in depth knowledge of all of the foods, history, and places to go. We hit so many hidden gems we otherwise wouldn’t ever have found! Great food, wine, ouzo, I could go on and on. We’re still stuffed and amazed! Great personality and excellent command of the English language. Look no further, highly recommended!

Impressive guide and a great tour

Maritsa was an impressive tour guide. The tour consisted of myths and then the real history and she engaged with the group. She was great at pointing out slippery and uneven walking areas with consistent reminders. She was also soft spoken which was great because we focused on her and not the other crowds. She let us know in advance what we were doing next. We were all scared about climbing up to the Acropolis but we took frequent stops and it included ramps and walking paths, not just straight steps. All in all we had a great morning.

We had an incredible experience on our Athens walking tour with an archaeologist—our guide, Peter, was truly outstanding. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We had an incredible experience with Margarites at the Acropolis and museum. She is a wonderful teacher and storyteller and our family learned and retained so much information from our time with her about Greek mythology, customs, and language. She was talented in selecting interesting facts and content, coloring in the stories with details, and keeping us interested and engaged. I'll also add that her voice was so pleasant and soothing to listen to. We are so grateful for such a spectacular experience with her -- our time with her was one of the memorable highlights of our week in Athens!

Joseph was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable of all the food and information about the city. He was very helpful in identifying which options were gluten free, and even brought gluten free cookies from the bakery to start the tour. There was so many different foods to try and we loved them all! We fully enjoyed our experience on the tour!
