Skip the line and a private tour is the only way to make this palatable. The crowds can apparently be a bit overwhelming. To have our own tour guide, knowledgeable in the extensive history of Athena, was extremely valuable. Eva did a fabulous job.

Our tour was wonderful from the beginning to the end. Anda was so knowledgeable and passionate about Greek history and the acropolis and museum. We feel like we learned a lot about Greek mythology and the Greek culture and history.

This is a truly worthwhile experience if you want to learn about the history of Athens. Anda is a fantastic tour guide with so much passion and knowledge. She offered unbelievable detail and answered all of our questions thoroughly. She made the tour extremely interesting, allowed us to take our time and observe every place we wanted to, and took great pictures for us. The sites are incredible and the museum is not to be missed. Anda was amazing, she was very articulate in English and easy to understand. She went at our pace up the hill and explained with pictures along the way. She gave us choices on paths and offered frequently to take pictures for us. When we went to the museum she knew where the bathrooms were with no line and because she is a private group we got in quickly. We adored her and will be referring her to our friends coming next month.

Acropolis private tour with Eva. She was extremely knowledgeable and so friendly. She knew so much history about the entire area. I have had quite a few tour guides over the years and I can say she is the best I have ever had! I highly recommend Eva.

The tour guide exceeded my expectations! She picked a great meeting spot and Anda was fantastic and explained everything so well, she knew what pieces are original and what pieces of marble are in Britain, she had extensive knowledge of the parthenon when we toured the museum, she was excellent!!!

It was the best! Intimate enough that we could learn, with a brilliant guide (Effie, ask for her!) who gave a space to explore and ask questions. It was a beautiful day and perfect to learn about the Acropolis, the language, the history. Highly highly recommend!

It would be a mistake to go to the Acropolis without a guide. We had a much more meaningful and educational experience thanks to Anda's knowledgeable guidance. She was wonderful with the children, too. Overall 10/10.

While the Acropolis and Museum are wonderful, it was an amazing tour exclusively because of Irena. We are well traveled and have previously used private guides, but she’s the sole reason this tour was so fantastic for us. She’s incredibly credentialed, skilled, and passionate and I can’t possibly imagine there’s a better private guide for the Acropolis.

Anda is a true professional. She is as good a listener as she is a presenter. Our college aged kids were totally engaged throughout the entire time with her. She brought the culture of Greece and the area around the acropolis to life for us!

This private tour was definitely the highlight of our trip to Athens and we would highly recommend it. Having a private tour guide that could enter the Acropolis with you, skip the lines, and provide a detailed history and answer questions is a must do!
Anda was our guide and I would highly recommend requesting her. She was very knowledgeable and you could tell that the Acropolis, Parthenon, and the Parthenon Museum are all passions of her’s. We were able to skip the line and go right in and she knew the right spots to visit as well as get great pictures. She is from Athens and had great recommendations for food as well as other places & sites to visit that was close by. We had four older teens with us, and they all agreed that this was one of the highlights of our trip. I will definitely be recommending this private tour to any of our friends that will be visiting Athens!

Fabulous tour, highly recommend! Ana was very informative, funny and a perfect expert guide for our family. Go in the morning to avoid the heat and hit the museum after the walking tour to see some of the originals while you grab a cold water at the cafe and tour in the air conditioning to finish out the day.

A meaningful and must tour for anyone who wants to learn the history of the Parthenon … the addition of visiting the New Acropolis Museum in tandem with the Parthenon tour offered the opportunity to view the original Parthenon artifacts rather than just reproductions. Anda was a fantastic guide who enthusiastically shared her vast knowledge of the site.

The Acropolis tour was really great and our guide Anda was extremely knowledgeable and her passion for the history clearly came through. She took excellent care of us while there and even walked a couple of blocks outside the site to make sure we found a reputable ride back to our hotel. What an amazing place the Acropolis is, so much history and beauty. This private guided tour gave us so much more than simply wandering around the site possibly could have. We learned so much of the history of the area and the monuments through our passionate guide. Theodora is such an asset to Athens. She was friendly, caring, well spoken and incredibly knowledgeable. We loved the pride she clearly displayed for her nation and its national treasures that she gave us an introduction to. It was complementary to explore the Acropolis and slopes then the Acropolis Museum, they go hand in hand. We are very keen to come back one day to explore more. Theodora ignited a spark.

Where do I begin?!! My 18 year old niece and I were SO blessed to have Anda as our personal tour guide up the hill, through all the sites and in the museum. She is an ABSOLUTE EXPERT in her field! Her love of the architecture and history are so obvious in her love of teaching it to others. Reading a tour guide book would never have compared to the ability to hear all the history, see pictures of the Acropolis throughout time that she brought with her, and to be able to ask questions. She was so very personable, as well...keeping us engaged through Q&A, spending just the right amount of time at each spot and making sure we really knew what we were seeing. Going through a tour of Acropolis and its sites is probably everyone's once-in-a-lifetime, and having that individual attention given in a private guided tour is worth every single penny!

The guide's knowledge, love of the subject, patience, and depth of history made this an exceptional experience. The tour lasted almost 4 hours, and every minute was interesting. We all agreed it was a wonderful finale to our trip and worth every penny. Highly recommend!!
