Agatha was our guide for the day. We were fortunate because due to the transportation strike the next day, all the other people had canceled and we had Agatha to ourselves. We stopped at about 7 places for food or tastings, so plenty to eat and a good variety. Of all the food tours we have been on, Agatha was the first person who, if the type of food allowed for it, asked if we wanted to wrap up and take what we weren’t able to eat. So by the end of the day we had a small bag of about 3 or 4 leftovers. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Agatha, who was a delight to be with. Between the variety of food and our wonderful guide, I would definitely recommend this food tour.

Guide was friendly and inclusive. She showed us all around the different parts of the city and gave us insight to the different foods we were eating. Easy pace and wide variety of foods for different occasions. And there was alcohol to try! Best experience for adventurous eaters!

The tour exceeded our expectations. Agatha gave us a personalized experience. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions concerning Greece, Athens and the other cities we planned to visit during our travels in Greece. Her choice of foods, shops and venues was representative of the local culture and cuisine. Being a native of Greece she also shared numerous stories and personal experiences of her life in the country from childhood to adulthood, which helped us to relate to the culture.

What a great way to spend an evening as a solo traveler. Eleni was very nice and brought us to some amazing places. It was fun to experience a lot of areas, food and atmosphere. It was good food. The kebab at the end was so good. The spinach pie was delicious. I liked the small group and it was fun to learn about Greek cuisine. I would have never found these places. Thank you!

Amazing small group tour with Eleni. She gave us options for food tastings. She gave us a glimpse of life in Athens while patiently answering all of our Questions. This was by far the most personal of all 13 of our tours this trip. I would highly recommend this tour especially with Eleni as your guide.

Our guide was awesome and enjoyable to be around for the four hours we were together. Go on an empty stomach because you’ll be eating and drinking for hours! Food and beverages were delicious. We sure appreciated our local guide to learn about Greek food! We highly recommend this tour!

Our guide Agatha was amazing. We walked throughout different neighbourhoods tasting different foods.
We started with a cheese, salami and wine tasting, then on to famous Greek doughnuts, a honey and olive tasting finishing with a delicious Gyros. My favourite was the tapas style tasting with stuffed vine leaves, fava dip & marinated eggplant dips which was delicious and one of my favourites.

My wife and I booked this tour and we were at the meeting location at the time specified. Unfortunately, there was another tour that was meeting at the same time and location as ours. In short, we went with the wrong tour guide, ugh, how could we have done that??? Well, the guide showed up and asked if we were all here for the tour. Of course we said yes. He never said which tour and we didn't ask (I know, our bad). By the time we figured out that we were on the wrong tour, it was too late to catch up with the food tour. We learned from another participant that another tour guide (presumably the food tour guide) asked the other tour guide if there was anyone in his group that was there for the food tour and, apparently, he said no. We did not see or hear that discussion. The food tour guide did not address the group asking if anyone was there for the food tour nor did the food tour guide call out our names. The food tour guide did send us a text and called us but we did not have service at the time as we were from out of the country. Well this is partially my fault as we should have been more proactive making sure that we were on the right tour but who would have guessed there were 2 tours at the same time from the same location. However, I believe the guide bears some responsibility for not calling out our names or not asking the group directly if anyone was there for the food tour. I explained this to viator and asked for a refund but they put the responsibility back on me. Disappointed we paid for a tour that we did not get to experience and I feel we should have been at least partially refunded.

Our tour guide was amazing! We started off with local cheese and wine which was amazing! We went on to try lots of other foods, both savory and sweet. The olive oil shop was our favorite and we were able to purchase some bottles to take home.

We enjoyed the tour, our guide Agatha was excellent with follow-up text messages prior to our tour. We went through neighborhoods that we would have missed had we not taken the tour, so it was a good way of getting the lay of the land. The tasting started with desserts
(loukoumades) and ended with street food (gyros, souvlakis), which i would've preferred the reverse order. All in all it was a good way to sample foods and see Athens in one tour!

I cannot recommend Agatha highly enough! My grandson and I had such a wonderful, informative food tour with her. We went to the markets, tasted olives and olive oils, honeys, and local Greek meats and cheeses, Greek donuts and souvlaki too! Agatha was so knowledgeable and so nice. My wife and I started our first full day in Athens with Agatha. It was an incredible way to start our trip. We ended up being the only people on the tour. Agatha was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, and personable. We learned so much from Agatha about the history of Greek food and culture. It was truly an unforgettable experience and an amazing way to learn about Athens. She took us to many different parts of Athen so you get a comprehensive look at the city! You stop for the most amazing breakfast pastries, a tour through the meat and vegetable markets of Athens, with a charcuterie board served after and you finish the tour near the Acropolis with a delicious gyro! I would recommend anyone join this tour with Agatha.

Agatha took us on our own private food tour in Athens. She was informative on the culture and different types of foods. All the food was delicious as we went to about 6 different places. Everything from charcuterie board with local meats and cheeses, to olive oil and local alcohol tasting, then to desserts. What an amazing experience if you want to get out of your food comfort zone!
