Delphi was absolutely amazing and beautiful, just a pleasure to visit. The guide was knowledgeable and was able to explain about the many buildings at the site. Hara in the main office was super helpful after I took a wrong turn in the town and got the tour bus to me, thanks! Would definitely recommend to other travelers

It's a long day but a great ride in the country. The Delphi visit is irreplaceable. Great exhibits of statues from the 5th century bc.

Our guide was very knowledgeable talked Greek history for the 3 hour drive up to Delphi then was great during hour at museum then out for hour at archeological site. Then 3 hours back to city for drop off. The views are incredible, but it’s a lot getting there and back!

Bring your comfy sneakers to hike up to the top. Very informative and absolutely stunning views. Highly recommended.

Our guide explained everything very clearly and with a touch of humor. Even when we arrived a little late for the meeting time, she greeted us with a smile and no sign of annoyance. Thanks to her, it was a truly wonderful tour.

Wonderful experience- the views are beyond incredible! Nancy was a wonderful host. Would definitely recommended

There is alot of stairs to the top. The view of the valley is awesome. The museum was really interesting.
Scott_M, Oct 2025
We took this tour to get out of Athens for a day. Vickie made the tour interesting with history and culture and stories of the characters of Greek mythology.
Robyn_D, Oct 2025
We’d heard that Delphi was a must-see for our trip to Athens, but thought the area was underwhelming, especially compared to our guided tour of the Acropolis. The drive was lovely, through interesting mountains and countryside, and the guide did her best when she didn’t have any technology (all the other tours used a headset and receiver to be able to hear the guide’s voice) to speak to us as we were walking through the ruins and museum, but most of us couldn’t hear what she was saying.
Anthony_D, Oct 2025
This was a fabulous tour through a mountainous region to Delphi. Spectacular views. Our guide, Jordan, was extremely knowledgeable and was gracious in answering many questions.
He was as good through the ruins as in the museum.
The ruins, were a look back in time we can only imagine . There was alot of steep climbing, but with the right shoes (good runners), it was no problem. I'm 70, and I could keep up with the rest. I had been doing alot of walking, to prepare for these climbs....a huge help, and a huge recommendation.
Well worth the money.
Lunch was amazing!
Scott_C, Oct 2025
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She provided history of Greece and the regions we traveled through as well as of Delphi itself.
Rebecca_L, Oct 2025
A lot of walking, but worth it. It was a really nice break from the city. Our guide was very informative!
Gregory_V, Oct 2025
The pluses. Delphi itself was amazing to see. The area is beautiful. With respect to the tour itself. Our driver did an amazing job. Our tour guide was excellent. Our meal was abundant to say the least. Basically, all you could eat and it was very good.
The minuses. Traffic in the area was "very" slow moving. The pick up and drop off for this tour needs some work. We were picked up on one bus, moved to another bus and we did a lot of sitting and waiting in the process. When you have a 50 seat bus, offering individual pick up and drop off may be convenient for some, but for most it means spending an extra hour on the bus. That is the reason I gave it the rating I did.

Thorough discussion/information throughout the tour. Our guide Ellie was very good - knowledgeable and fun personality.
Delphi is a spectacular spot - worth the trip.
Two issues - we did the lunch option and would not recommend. Main course chicken was dry - town of Delphi had plenty of options that looked better and also with beautiful views of the valley.
Bus ride I quite long - so be prepared - I would also recommend to. Viator that they find a more interesting stop on the way up - did not need 30 minutes at a generic roadside general store.

The trip is wel organized. Guide is clear and patient, friendly. We have had a great experience. Strongly recommend.

Yota was fabulous! Her energy, knowledge, and humor made our experience very memorable! She really knows her history, and is exceptional at painting a picture in your mind of what happened throughout various periods of Greek culture. We give her two thumbs up and highly recommend her as a guide. We were in awe of the ruins of Delphi and her guided tour of the museum was amazing.!
Erik_T, Oct 2025
Absolutely amazing experience, would definitely recommend the trip. The drive is a bit long, but definitely worth it to see the Temple of Apollo and the Delphi museum.
Ted_K, Sep 2025
This was a wonderful tour. Rose was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We will recommend you to all our friends!
Leonora_H, Sep 2025
There is a lot of climbing stairs but the view is worth it - and the ruins are amazing, the history fascinating
bethchol, Sep 2025
You spend so long in the car for 45 min at the site and you don’t get to see everything. You spend most of the time at crowded rest stops or on the bus. Not worth the 7 hour trip for 45 min at the archaeological site.
Jerald_L, Sep 2025
wonderful experience led by Demietri as our guide and another Demietri as a driver too. Long 11 hour day but amazing sights and history in Delphi.
Rosalia_F, Sep 2025
It's a lot of walking up and down hills, go slowly, its worth it. Our tour guide, Dimitri, was the BEST!
SUSAN_M, Sep 2025
Delphi is an amazing important site in a magnificent setting , an absolute must visit, but our tour ran very late due to the bus getting stuck in an alleyway in Athens ( illegally parked van) and then terrible traffic on the way out. Chat tours should consider a smaller bus! Our driver was amazing
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Dear Susan,
We are thanking you for your review.
It is true that on this date our bus was blocked by parked cars on the street but this was not in our control.
The bus size always is according of the group size therefore you had a big bus as group was more than 15 persons/
We are thanking you once again for your kind words and we hope to keep the nice memories of your guided tour in Delphi.
Warm regards
Hara

This was a very fun and educational experience. Maria, our guide was exceptional. Her knowledge of the Oracle of Delphi was amazing, and her presentation style was very interesting and fun. We are very happy that we took the time to take this tour. 5 stars!
Jitendra_S, Sep 2025
We took several tours in Athens. Maria by far was the best tour guide we experienced. Maria is extremely knowledgeable and dare say intelligent. The way she answered questions and kept us engaged throughout this long day. The one downside of this tour was the included lunch - skip the lunch option. There are much better lunch options in the new town of Delphi.
David_G, Sep 2025
A bit warm but definitely worth the trip. Amazing views our guide Joy was incredible very knowledgeable. A must see!
Yana_G, Sep 2025
Our one-day tour to Delphi was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and thoughtfully executed. The journey from Athens was comfortable, with beautiful views along the way and informative commentary by our guide Rose that set the stage for what we were about to see.
The highlight, of course, was exploring the archaeological site of Delphi. Walking among the ruins of the Temple of Apollo and standing in the shadow of the ancient theater was a surreal experience. Our guide Rose was fantastic – knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Greek history and mythology. They brought the stories of Delphi to life and made the site even more meaningful.
The Delphi Museum was equally impressive. The guide walked us through the key exhibits, including the famous Charioteer of Delphi, and explained their historical and cultural context in a way that was both accessible and fascinating.

Beware. The tour driver called us 35 minutes before the designated meeting time chastising us for not being at the meeting point. There was a partial language barrier. We requested to be picked up at the location in time designated on the reservation. we arrived at the designated meeting point and time and the driver was not there. We called the number from caller ID. Multiple times. No answer. Outgoing message left a garbled phone number to contact the driver. We were never able to contact the driver.
Overall, we were very disappointed in our missed opportunity to see Delphi. And we were surprised and saddened by the unprofessional behavior of the driver. Of course, it’s no small matter to lose the reservation fee which we had already paid. And disappointed in viator not resolving the issue.
Caution booking this event and using Viator

Dear Mrs. Brown,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding your recent booking. We are truly sorry to hear about your disappointment and regret that you were unable to participate in the Delphi tour.
Please allow us to clarify a few details about the arrangements:
Our head office called you as you were delayed more than 10 min at hotel A for Athens and we had to continue the pick up service for other clients waited for.
According to your voucher, the pick-up time window was 07:30–08:15, with tour departure at 08:30.
Our team sent you reminders regarding the meeting point, and on the tour date after our communication we sent a new message including the address of the Amalia Hotel Athens (Leof. Vasilisis Amalias 10, Syntagma Square).
On the morning of the tour, at 08:30 , our staff tried to reach you by phone and learned you were waiting at a different location (A for Athens Hotel) instead of the designated Amalia Hotel.
We completely understand how stressful such a situation can be, especially when travel plans are involved. While we did our best to provide clear instructions and communication, we regret that a misunderstanding still occurred and led to your missed tour.
Although the booking terms do not allow for a refund in this case.
We send hereunder copies of our exchanged messages to remind you that we tried our best in order to make sure that you will meet and participate the Delphi trip. We had sent all details for Amalia hotel and you asked again at the meeting time where to meet the tour.
Dear Rhonda, Kindly be informed that for your tour that is scheduled to depart tomorrow morning, you will have to be waiting outside of the entrance of the A for Athens Hotel at 07:45, in order to get picked up. Thank you for booking with us, we await your presence! Please confirm. Kind regards, Maximos Chatanaka. CHAT Tours. HARA A. Our guide was Yiatta who was great, informative without overloading you with information and very funny. Be prepared for a long bus ride 2.5 hrs - 3 hrs one way (282 km and dealing with Athens traffic). I enjoyed the historical site and museum. It is not for everyone so do your own research on what the historical site looks like. Suggestions. I would skip the lunch (when booking) and ask to be dropped off at the town to look around and buy something on the go. On the way there is a chance to buy snacks as lunch will be around 14:00 pm - 14:30 pm and take a quick rest break. Bring you own snacks e.g. from a supermarket and buy coffee / water if you need the caffeine hit. Read the details of the tour to ensure you understand what is included and how long you will be at the site / museum.

Always rushed and finished with the most disgusting meal ever. Do not take the meal option not worth it
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Dear Manny,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so sorry to hear that you felt rushed and didn’t enjoy the meal option. This is not the experience we want for our guests, and we truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We do follow a specific timetable as we have allocated entry time slots for the museum, but we understand how this may have felt rushed. We’ll be reviewing your feedback with our team to ensure improvements are made.
Warm regards
Hara

This was a great trip. Demi taught us a lot about Greek culture, the Greek Gods and how it all tied to the stories of Delphi. The temple and museum are just stunning. The roan of Arachova is so beautiful. If you only have one day for this area, this is the trip for you. Stunning views from the bus. It is a long trip in the bus. Take the time to stretch your legs at each stop and pack a hat, water and plenty of sunscreen. Thank you! And happy retirement Georgios!
