Overview
This tour may be just 2.5 hours long, but the thrills will last your whole trip. To begin, you’ll hop into an ATV for a scenic ride—look for markings from early settlers. Then you’ll get geared up to conquer the Via Ferrata, an iron path up Cave Lakes Canyon. Before you rappel 180 feet (55 meters) back down to reality, you’ll earn bragging rights and enjoy a cold water to celebrate.

You will meet your guide at the NORTH END OF THE PARKING LOT of Moqui Cave. From there, we will caravan into the adjacent canyon, Cave Lakes Canyon where you will be shuttled to the Via Ferrata start.

Keith was an outstanding 6 ⭐️ guide for our Via Ferrata experience. You can tell he loves what he does and shares his love for the beautiful location. He is very encouraging when we needed to slow down in spots. We felt very confident because he took the time to walk us through the best twchniques and best way to approach different types of stairs. Keith also accommodated us when we decided to add in a tour of the Peekaboo slot canyon. Overall it was a truly memorable experience. Definitely a highlight of our trio. Thank you Keith and Roam.

Wyatt was outstanding and the rappelling was fantastic. We were tested outside of our comfort zone but Wyatt coached us through every step. We learned new skills and had left feeling extremely accomplished.

I think this was a relatively mild via ferrata, which was good for me since it was my first one. I think if you are an adrenaline junky with many via ferratas under your harness - this might not be the one for you. But, overall, we really enjoyed it.

Unfortunately due to the risk of flash flooding, we were unable to do to Via Ferrata. However, the staff at ROAM were so incredibly accommodating. They took us on a UTV tour to nearby slot canyons instead, which was amazing! Our guide, Ted, was super knowledgeable of the area and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time.

I was with the guide Mickey, he was very nice and he speaks very clearly for foreign people (I'm French). We made the via ferrata and a rappel at the end. The route is quite easy except 1 or 2 parts a little bit more complicated but the activity is appropriate for very beginners.

Tim was a great guide, super friendly and helpful! The views are really nice! This is a bit of an easier experience of you are someone who hikes and climbs a lot. I think we were through it in about an hour but it was still really worth it! And Tim made it a great experience!
I would say that kids could do this easily and could any beginner to via ferrata and rappelling. Very fun!!

Booking this experience is a NO BRAINER! Doing the via ferrata was SO out of my comfort zone, but our guide Keith and Kalib made me feel so calm and prepared. My fiancé and I had a blast and hands down it was one of the funnest things we’ve ever done. The moment we came down we wanted to book it again! Highly recommend!

I was scared to death to try this adventure, but I’m so glad I did! It was such a rewarding experience. Our guide was awesome. Very knowledgeable. Very chill, too, which helps a lot. He took tons of pictures and video for us so that we could focus on climbing. This activity is intimidating, but SO WORTH IT.

We loved our Via Ferrata climb and rappel tour in Cave Lakes Canyon. It is such a beautiful canyon! Our tour guide was amazing! He provided wonderful guidance along our ascent and took pictures to cherish. He was funny, kind and attentive as we climbed up the iron ladder. Rappelling was fun at the end. We definitely would highly recommend this unique experience!!
