We will meet in the parking area of Peek-A-Boo Trailhead about 15 minutes north of Kanab. There are signs on the highway showing the turnoff. The turn is on highway 89 between mile markers 72 and 73. I will send a direct link before we meet up.

10/10 adventure and guide. The ATV ride to the canyon is exciting itself. You seriously cannot beat the views. Our guide Tyler was super friendly and knowledgeable. He let us go at our pace and had so much info about the terrain and history of the canyons. You can tell he loves his job. If you go do NOT skip the sand boarding !!!!

Slot canyon was amazing! We did a 3 PM private tour experience with the Peek-A-Boo slot canyon and sandboarding. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The “one armed bandit” was our tour guide. He provided a lot of history, tips on best photo spots, took our photos, guidance to keep two 50-something travelers on their feet while sandboarding, humor and an exhilarating UTV ride!! This was a must-do experience if you can spare 2 hours out of your day!! A+

A fantastic tour. The Peek a boo canyon is picturesque at every turn. And the sand boarding was so fun (I would have went many more times if not for having to trudge back up the hill each time). The ride in the UTV over the sand whipping through curves and up and down hills was exhilarating (but also feeling completely safe). This private tour was top notch as was the tour guide (we had Tyler as a guide). Recommend this tour over any others in the area; we saw other tours along the way and the vehicle and guides were no where near the caliber of ours.

This tour was so much fun and it was informative! Lauren was great! The UTV was awesome and the sand boarding was great! Everyone enjoyed it . We had so many laughs. The hike back up was tough but well worth the trip down! The hike in the slot canyon was not strenuous but so beautiful and we learned a lot! Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing desert stroll… this ain’t it. But if you want an adventure packed with laughter, Cheeto-colored dust in every crevice, and a tour guide who deserves his own comedy special, then stop what you’re doing and book this tour with Josh.
Our day started with an off-road UTV ride that can only be described as gloriously chaotic. We had two kids with us, and one lucky soul got to experience the Wild Child Seat—a front-row ticket to bouncing around like a popcorn kernel in a hot pan. The kid came out equal parts exhilarated and mildly traumatized, but let’s be real, that’s what makes a childhood adventure memorable.
Then came Peekaboo Slot Canyon, which looked like Mother Nature herself decided to show off. Narrow red rock corridors, towering sandstone walls, and just enough tight squeezes to make you question how many tacos you ate the night before. Josh, in all his infinite wisdom, schooled us in the fine art of panoramic photo wizardry. We learned that if you sprint fast enough during a pano shot, you can appear in multiple places like some kind of desert ghost. Our new family motto: Why take a normal picture when you can haunt your own photos?
Just when we thought the adventure couldn’t get any better—sandboarding. Imagine trying to surf, but the ocean is made of soft, unforgiving dunes that have a personal vendetta against your dignity. The kids? Naturals. The adults? Less so. By the end, we had enough Cheeto-colored dust in our shoes to start our own snack brand. Days later, we were still shaking out sand like a malfunctioning salt shaker.
Final thoughts: 12/10, would let Josh lead us into the desert again—preferably with goggles and a vacuum cleaner for the aftermath. If you want adventure, laughs, and a free exfoliation treatment courtesy of Utah’s finest red sand, this is the tour for you!

Tyler was our tour guide and he was the best we’ve ever had! He was so kind, so knowledgeable, funny & takes AMAZING pictures for you - he knows all the different angles the light hits the rocks while climbing through. You can tell he wants all of his guests to have the very best experience & he has grown up and built his business in and around Kanab. Driving through the silky red sand and sand surfing down the hill was the highlight of our trip! So many people told me to go on this tour & it is WELL WORTH every penny! Do not miss this adventure - it was the highlight of our trip for sure! He also told us about all of these other spots we could hike & explore and gave us his cell number if we come back so he could tell us where to go if we needed any help. Hands down the most congenial tour guide you will meet!
