Plan to arrive at least 30 min early, and be aware of traffic. Park behind Discovery Center Collaborative (13170 S West Bay Shore Dr) across the street from our ticket booth. Please use the pedestrian crossing to get to us! If you are getting dropped off, you can go directly to Discovery Pier.

Very friendly & inviting & fun crew. We were lucky to have a perfect weather eve for our sail. I know that the long list of crucial safety concerns need to be covered but think it could be done in the half hour prior to boarding so that we get more time sailing.
The history of the beautiful Manitou was interesting & scenery & sunset lovely. The crew members were all pros & fun when performing all their duties ! But the price of 4 beverages was surprisingly high. ( 1 water , 1 wine , 1 cherry soda & 1 mixed drink over 30$) I would recommend this sunset cruise & it was a relaxing & unique way to spend an evening!

Evening sail is closer to 90 minutes versus the 2 hours listed. Staff were all friendly and helpful. It was nice to actually sail, but a little disappointed that the sail boat had no speed and the scenery never really changed. We left the dock and went for about 45 minutes into the middle of the lake and turned around and came back. I was hoping to see more along the shore.

Be sure to put this on your list of things to do while in Traverse City! The sailing team was so welcoming, and easy to visit with! We were the 4th sail of the day and they made us feel like we were the first! Just a fantastic sail around the bay! Thank you to your team for your great attitudes and kindness! Have a great summer!

The sail was just okay. I was disappointed that we just sailed up and down the coast in a circle going back and forth in the same area. I feel it would have been much better to sail up the peninsula and see different areas rather than seeing the same area 3 or 4 times. If you are seeking a sailing adventure this is not it. If you are seeking a mild ride, are elderly or have children then it would be fine. The crew and captain were awesome and did mingle with passengers giving out a lot of information and history.
