Our guide Scott was fantastic. We met the group in a cute courtyard, and journeyed out to several restaurants. We learned a lot about the history of St Pete on our walk , and got to try some delicious food. Bring your appetite - portions were great! We opted to order drinks that we thought paired w the food at each location - but there was plenty of water provided if you prefer not to spend any extra money . It is a walking tour, so be prepared to do a bit of walking , but there is plenty of time to rest at each stop. Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed.

It was just the two of us and the tour guide so somewhat awkward. We are senior citizens and it was difficult to keep up with the tour guide’s fast walking pace. I even tripped on uneven sidewalk and fell.
The food was marginal……tacos were good, charcuterie was boring and prosciutto pizza was cold. Definitely not worth the money.

We had a couple of phone calls: one on 2/9 at 10:04am and another on 2/20 at 8:48am, where I communicated that only the 2 of you had booked and we require a minimum of 4. You said you hoped that the tour would not get cancelled. So, even though I make zero profit on a tour of 2 people, I had the guide provide a private tour for you & your husband, simply out of kindness and hospitality. In fact, when people book through 3rd party travel platforms, I have to pay out of pocket for all of the food on the tour and then wait for 4-6 weeks to get reimbursed from the tickets that you purchased on the 3rd party website. These is an example of "no good deed goes unpunished" and a reminder that I need to hold steadfast to company policy. By the way, the guide is retired and middle-aged and was in the hospitality industry for decades. He is a well-respected local and as you learned, is a wealth of great information about St Pete. His response to this: "I can't believe she left that review. They were very nice and seemed very happy with the tour." I also found out that the tour guide went above and beyond: since it was just two of you, the presentation finished early, so he gave you guys extra attention and a bonus experience by taking you on a trolley ride through town, too. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit to St Pete. SW Florida is a very special place!

Nice walk around the city. Only part of group could hear what tour guide was saying. 3 food stops, and the portions were large.

We've taken a lot of food tours in many cities and countries in the past & today's food tout did not disappoint! Great tour guides, delicious food, and some history sprinkled in. We had a fantastic time exploring St. Pete and trying out some interesting restaurants. Dracula's Legacy Wine Bar & Bistro was a hidden gem...the charcuterie was delicious! We were stuffed by the end of the tour, so be sure to come hungry! Thanks, Christine & Scott!

Average food options. We have experienced this in other Florida cities and this was not worth the cost. Tour guide was excellent, but the food sub par. I also resented the additional “art stop” that was actually a stop at an art store to sell their art. Do better.

Colleen, it's rather surprising to see a negative review 2 days after the tour, and after the guide reported that everyone had an excellent time. This is not meant to be a gourmet food tour, and is not advertised as such. It is quick bite stops as rest & refreshment from the historical walking tour. It is called a "Taste" of St Pete. The tour includes 4 of THE most popular local spots in downtown St Pete. As for the art gallery stop, art and museums are very integral to the history and culture of St Pete. A quick internet search will provide these results from the city's website:

Ranked as a top arts and cultural destination among cities its size, St. Pete is home to world-famous museums; independent galleries & art studios; ..." As ambassadors of the city, it's important that we incorporate this into a tour to best represent what is so vital to the city's unique lifestyle. 3.5 hours is just enough time to provide a few highlights of history, the incredible art scene, and nourish guests with a few light bites. Another travel tip: third-party marketing sites always charge a surcharge to the customer and a commission to the business. It is almost always a better value to book experiences directly with a company, whether that be food tours, kayaking, half-day excursions, etc. Lauren is a gem and we are grateful to have her represent Sunset Food Tours so I'm glad you mentioned your positive experience with her. P.S. Strolling through the art does not require guests to purchase. It is a courtesy to the tour guests, to tour the gallery WITHOUT any obligation AND they often offer a complimentary glass of bubbles or wine to the tour guests as hospitality.

The “sunshine city” has plenty of places to eat and drink - but we focused strictly downtown … Our Guide, Olivia was filling in for a friend — she did a good job - first up … RED MESA CANTINA served up street tacos and chips alongside Margaritas! DRACULA’s LEGACY is hidden gem and they have hundreds of beers & wine to share … we had a beautiful charcuterie spread there! BELLA BRAVA is an Italian restaurant that is known especially for their fresh pasta and homemade breads … the pizzas we enjoyed were a Margarita and a delicious Prosciutto & Burrata w/ basil pesto … mouth-watering! A quick look about in an art gallery OCEAN BLUE featuring some fun prints of Dr Seuss and the other amazing and talented artists such as Wyland & Nano! And we ended the evening with gelato, umm, yes … at PACIUGO … the hardest decision … which two flavors to choose!

We were unfortunately unable to go on the tour, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. We arrived 20 minutes early to the designated meeting spot, but no one ever showed up. After waiting an additional 20 minutes past the start time, we began messaging our guide but received no response. Eventually, we contacted Viator, who also attempted to reach the guide multiple times—without success.
While we were refunded for the tour, we were not compensated for the time and effort we lost. We're only in the area for a short time, and we traveled a considerable distance specifically for this tour.
Nearly 90 minutes after the scheduled start time, we finally received a message from someone named Christine stating: “My apologies; you should have been contacted—the tour didn't operate. As disclosed, tours require a minimum of 4 guests to operate. There were only 2 of you. I have been in meetings for the past two days; sorry that you were not notified in time.”
This was completely unacceptable. We’ve done many food tours and have never encountered anything like this. The lack of communication and professionalism was staggering. If I could give this experience negative stars, I would. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration—book elsewhere.

Your frustration is heard. Based on it, it sounds like this tour would not have been a good fit for you anyway. We NEVER had any communication with you so your tour was NEVER confirmed. When you signed up through this third-party app (not directly from our website), it stated that it needs a minimum of 4 guests to run a tour. In the future, perhaps it's a great idea to read the rules of what you purchase and then to contact the company directly, to confirm. We are all over here STILL recovering from the financial impact of last year's storms seasons. It greatly impacted our "season" this year and many small businesses and restaurants in SW Florida are being forced to close. However, you have a right to be nasty and to hurt a small business with your insults. I wish you all the best!

Lauren was an amazing tour guide. Great knowledge of St. Petersburg and its history. She was professional and fun at the same time, and the route was an easy walk through part of downtown. The food was absolutely delicious and there was a lot of it! You won’t leave hungry. Really enjoyed the tour and definitely recommend it if you are in the area. Great way to see some sites and sample great food.
