The knowledgeable guide dove into the history of Jerome and fascinated me enough to want to purchase a book to learn more. Sometimes difficult to hear, however, if you were in the back of the group.

It’s complete mumbo-jumbo, a total farce! They hand you some cheap gadgets which is supposed to connect us with the spirits, imagine that in the middle of a sunny afternoon. I had to trust my intelligence and leave after 30 minutes of the tour, they take us for fools. Old stories, haunted buildings, dead people is an interesting premise and when narrated well is not too bad but anything else is nothing but to fleece tourists.

Hello Deepa,
I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your review. As it shows your review is for the Jerome History Walk. Which you originally booked for. We don’t do one person tours, so I reached out to you the day before your scheduled tour with options for you. A full refund, other tour times or a different tour. I gave you the full description of the Jerome Ghost Walk and you decided to do that tour. During the tutorial you became irritated about taking a lantern for our indoor location and saying you didn't even want this tour originally. I then reminded you that I offered a refund and you chose to do this tour, but I was still willing to honor the refund. You said you wanted to continue and do the tour. We are a pet friendly tour company and love animals. I tried my best to work with you and Luna, she is a large dog, so her barking and whining was a bit loud during the history and stories. Although I was able to project my voice louder for the other customers to hear me. You said due to Luna's loud restlessness you felt it be best to opt out of the rest of the tour. We were very straightforward about what the tour consists of and did our best to accommodate you.

Steep hills. Courtney was fantastic! She gave excellent background information. Very friendly. She had good knowledge about the areas we visited

Very informative. Our tour guide Austin was very passionate and engaging.
Learned a lot about past of Jerome . We wish it was more walking during our "walking tour" ,although , dew to the hilly terrain of the town it would be very challenging for older people and younger kids to attend. Company did a great job accommodating every age group by using minivan to move us around. For that short tour it was pricy.

This one hour walk was perfect and our tour guide Austin was great! He was very knowledgeable and fun. We definitely learned some interesting things and would highly recommend!

Courtney (tour guide) was so interesting and informative. She knows Jerome well and has lots to share about the area. Would highly recommend this tour.
Lynn_S, Oct 2025
We would have liked to do a bit more walking and learning about the history. The guide was a wealth of information.
Linda_M, Sep 2025
Our tour guide, Courtney, was so knowledgeable & fun to spend time with. I would highly recommend this tour. She went above and beyond to make this an enjoyable experience.

We learned so much more about Jerome than if we would have just walked through the town ourselves. Our guide shared many background stories and told us about the history of this interesting town,
Carol_C, May 2025
Our guide had a lot of information about Jerome that we enjoyed learning about, but he couldn't answer questions. We also had to ask him to speak slower, which he did try to do.
CraigL_S, May 2025
Interesting and enjoyable introduction to Jerome. Courtney had lots of information to share and was very personable.

I only stayed for half the tour. The material the tour guide gave was about the founder of Jerome who was a horrible person that exploited, maimed, and killed many people and devastated the area which has not recovered all in the name of accumulating more and more wealth. There was no other redeeming person ever mentioned.
I'm on vacation. This is not what I wanted to hear.
I just should have walked around the town and enjoyed the shops.

Courtney was our guide and did a wonderful job describing the history of Jerome! There was a lot of info packed into our tour and Courtney was informative and kept things lively and interesting! Highly recommend!

Our guide, Courtney was very knowledgeable, the walking tour, however did not involve much walking, so if that is your goal do not choose this tour. We walked to three spots, a church, a former bank site, and a jail. Our guide was mindful of the diverse age differences (young child up to seniors) and spoke with the parent of the child as to what was appropriate for her to cover since Jerome has a somewhat disreputable periods in it’s past. Lastly, Courtney might slow down her speaking as at times she was hard to follow at first.
Ami_H, Mar 2025
Very knowledgeable guide, which was appreciated. However, there was almost no walking. We walked across the street to a church and back across the street and our guide gave us lots of information at the two spots. I’d been Looking forward to walking around Jerome and hearing about the different sites on the spot, so was disappointed in the tour.

Hello Ami,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are happy to hear that you appreciated the information the guide shared with you. On your particular tour we gave your group a slight upgrade and cut out the walking portion through the stairs
. As it was a combined tour and the others were on the extended tour which includes a shuttled tour. We had your group join us in the shuttle to cut out walking through stairs in town, so you could spend more time at the other locations (TF Miller, Sliding jail). We were hoping you would enjoy the upgrade and more time to spend at the other 2 locations. We apologize if we misunderstood and you had not wanted to upgrade. Thank you again for choosing Jerome Ghost Tours.

We learned quite a lot of history about this mining town - about the miners and their treatment as well as the owners. We saw some pictures of Jerome through the years and learned where many of the structures had been located.
Algis_A, Oct 2024
Good historical presentation with lots of interesting information and dates of major events. Our tour guide was mindful of the physical limitations of several participants.
LuisA_S, Oct 2024
Courtney, our guide, did an excellent job in taking us through the history of Jerome. She was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate to share her knowledge. The one small recommendation to make is for her to slow down her speech, it would make it easier to keep up with her.
Dominique_W, Oct 2024
Austin was full of knowledge and very eager to share it. Learned way more than I thought was possible about Jerome and the history
Ann_A, Oct 2024
The church that burnt down and reused the burnt wood as the window trim was interesting. The sliding jail was great. To see where it started and where it ended up was crazy. The copper mines were also interesting. Austin was very animated about the history of Jerome.
Jeffrey_C, Oct 2024
Out guide was fantastic with explaining the history behind the town’s development and collapse, while pointing out many present and former buildings key to the town. If you enjoy history with a great narrative then I promise you will love this tour!
Leah_H, Jul 2024
Austin was great! We hadn't been to Jerome in 30 years and we had never completed a walking tour with a guide in Jerome. Austin was full of stories and the hour tour of the city was perfect timing. We had lunch at Haunted Hamburger and it completed our walking tour and experience in Jerome. We highly recommend this tour.
Cecil_H, Jun 2024
Young Man is well versed with the historical facts of that town. Seems to have a richer history than Tombstone. Lot of hidden historical gems! Well worth it!
Sandra_C, May 2024
Our tour guide, I believe her name is Courtney, with the beautiful, long, red hair, was excellent, knowledgeable and had some great tidbits about Jerome. I highly recommend this tour. What a quaint, wonderful, historical town to visit!
MaryEllen_B, May 2024
Loved it all! Austin made the history come to life. He was so expressive and made it all so very interesting!
Sara_C, May 2024
Learning about the history of copper mining, Clark, and Douglas. Austin was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and easy to hear and understand.
Carlos_T, Apr 2024
Very informative tour and well worth it. Jerome has a very dark history that is intriguing. I'll definitely take the ghost tour next!
Alexis_P, Apr 2024
The history of Jerome blew us away! This tour is a must-do and gave us plenty of recommendations and things to do, we just didn't have enough time! Beware if you're coming in the spring, it was chillier and raining than we expected from Sedona
John_V, Apr 2024
Out guide Austin was fantastic, knowledgeable, and kept us moving quickly/did not let anyone butt-in to what we had paid for. Was worth the cost to us - would recommend this tour.
heywoodracing, Apr 2024
Courtney was our knowledgeable guide and made this tour awesome! It was very interesting to learn about Jerome and I would recommend this tour to anyone!
