We like learning about the places we visit and this was a terrific way to do so. William is a knowledgeable and connected guide in the area. He picked us up in Santa Barbara in a beautiful van and the guiding started there with history of the area while we traveled to Valley.
Upon arriving in the valley where the tour would start, William gave us a great tutorial on the e-bikes we’d be riding with a preview of the day.
We took a 16 mile looped ride through gorgeous countryside with many stops to hear about the history, businesses, and industries. The e-bikes make the riding as physical as you prefer which is a great equalizer for a varied group.
The riding allowed us to work up a bit of an appetite which coincided with the olive oil tasting and delicious lunch with wine pairing William spread for us in a beautiful setting. After that, we concluded the day with a tasting at a jaw droppingly beautiful estate.
If you want to experience the area and know how to ride a bike, I highly highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time. It was one of the best bike rides I have been on. William, our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Also, the scenery was just gorgeous-green hills for miles! I would highly recommend this bike tour.

William was a great host, very knowledgeable about the vineyards and wines, very conscientious of all us riders on the roads, his bikes are in great condition, his homemade lunch with wine tasting was delicious. I liked that we rode 16 miles and then stopped for lunch and wine tastings. We took the option of hotel pickup/drop off and it was a great way to enjoy the ride and splendid views from Santa Barbara to Santa Ynez . Highly recommended!

Our guide William was a great host from beginning to the end. I’ve learned a lot about the beautiful city of Santa Barbara and all that is has to offer. E-bikes are so fun to ride and explore the city and a great workout! Lovely experience!

William owns his own company and runs his tour with pride every day, sharing his vast experience of wine and the history of Santa Barbara County. He leads you past a variety of farms and vineyards, stopping frequently to point out the sights and give any stragglers a chance to catch up. The tour ends with an outdoor lunch and two tastings of excellent wines. William makes sure everyone stays safe and has a great day!

From the time we were picked up from the time we were dropped off it was a terrific experience for my husband and I. Scenic view was incredible. The two wine vineyards were beautiful. The lunch was delicious. The lavender farm smell so good. The wine was so amazing! The olive tasting was incredible. It was my husband‘s first wine tour and he loved it and it won’t be his last. But more importantly, the E bikes were dependable, and easy to use. The perfect way to view the beautiful landscapes.

One of the best activities we have ever done:). We had so much fun riding through the Ynez Valley taking in the beautiful countryside and finishing it up with some lunch and wine tasting. Our guide, William, was excellent We cannot wait to do it again!!

We were blessed with perfect weather for our ride with William. The scenery was great and the stops were very enjoyable. He made wonderful sandwiches (even for vegans) and the fruit and nut plate were delicious. The 16 mile ride finished before we had our wine tastings so we rode safely! The e-bikes were pretty user-friendly and had a throttle feature which was fun. We also appreciated the hotel pick up and drop off since we did not have a car.

From start to finish we can't say enough good things about our experience with I Bike Santa Barbara. William was a great tour guide. He shared alot of information with us about the area and the wineries we visited. We had a great lunch served to us by William - he does it all! We learned so much about the area and highly recommend spending a day with William in the Santa Ynez wine country!

Our guide was super helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. The bikes were in perfect condition and the tour was super fun. Enjoyed stopping at Solvang and the lunch and wine flights/tastings were enjoyable. Also loved the olive oil tasting.

This is a great way to see the Santa Barbara wine country. William is a terrific and knowledgable guide and his e-bikes are some of the best I've experienced--very smooth and easy to ride and operate. The first part of this tour (about 3-3.5 hours) is an e-bike tour of the region, making a few stops along the way, including in the darling Dutch town of Solvang, an olive oil farm (which includes a tasting) and a lavender farm. After the biking (which can be as effortless or as difficult as you choose, depending on how you operate your ebike), you enjoy two different wine tastings at two different wineries. This is not biking from winery to winery and drinking along the way, which I was very happy to discover. This was an informative sight-seeing tour by bike, followed by two wine tastings and being driven back to the starting point where you got picked up that morning. It's a really fun and enjoyable way to learn and sightsee and spend the day. There was ample and delicious food at lunch, plus you have the opportunity to get a Danish or other treat when you stop in Solvang. This was a good value for the price. If you're trying to decide which tour to do, this is the one!

It was good but not great. The wineries of Santa Ynez area are not that of Sonoma or Napa. The 16 mile ride was easily managed with the e-bikes. A quick stop in Solvang is a plus. Great lunch provided. I’m not much for the lavender and olive oil stops. Be advised you are not going from one winery to the other. The bike ride is a sight seeing component and the wineries come at the end and you are transported via van. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good day to be out and about but if you are used to Sonoma or Napa manage your expectations. I will say our guide William is very knowledgeable about the area and the various wineries.

Absolutely stunning countryside, and lovely bike ride, not too challenging. Very sad not to have any warning that the lavender farm would be closed as we were really looking forward to that part of the visit. It would have been nice if the price of the ride had been discounted to make up for that lost visit.

The whole day was perfect. William was a great tour guide. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Writing the electric bikes through wine country was absolutely gorgeous. My adult children absolutely loved it as much as I did. He provided us with a great lunch. We also got a chance to taste olive oil and visit the lavender farm. I would highly recommend him and his tour.

Santa Barbara wineries have all their tasting rooms, reportedly by decree of city Council, down in the city. This means that there are no tour buses driving through narrow, winding roads past the vineyards. At least not that I saw. Which makes it very safe and enjoyable, uncrowded experience as you’re biking through. it was completely enjoyable with our tour guide, William. He’s very knowledgeable about wine and the region in general. The bikes were fun and it would’ve been much more challenging to have to do that manually. Concluded with some locally pressed and flavored olive oil, tastings at two different wineries, and healthy, wholesome lunch.
There was about a 35 minute drive back-and-forth from the pick up location in town to the departure and parking location for the bikes. This was also very scenic. It was a great day for my family of four adults.

From making the reservation, to the pick up, to the bike tour, to the wine tasting, this excursion was top notch in every way. The bike ride is easy with the E bike and since you don't have to put much effort into riding it's easy to look around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We loved our lunch at the first winery (we chose to have a Vegan option) and we enjoyed lounging in the sun at the second winery. It was truly a perfect trip and a perfect day. You won't regret it.
