At the selected departure time for your Santa Barbara bike tour, make your way to the local bike shop and prepare for your electric bike excursion. Here, your guide outfits you with a helmet and provides a brief safety orientation about the easy-to-use electric beach cruiser — a comfortable bicycle with wide tires and upright seating.
Your guide leads your small group on an historical route around Santa Barbara that includes the Santa Barbara Mission and the brick-lined sidewalks and landscaped plazas of downtown’s State Street before heading out to the Pacific Ocean.
You can cruise at speeds of up to 20 mph (32 kph) with the option of pedaling, using the electric motor or a mixture of both for a fun and easy ride.
Focus your camera lens on renowned views of the Santa Barbara coastline and stop at a few historical sites to brush up on local history before pedaling (or coasting) back to the original departure point.

This was our first time using e-bikes and we had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the opportunity to see different areas of the city and to stop and enjoy the beautiful sites and views. Sergio was an incredible tour guide. He was patient, funny, knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely do this again the next time we are in Santa Barbara!

We had a wonderful time with Blaze, our guide. Blaze customized our tour based on what we were interested in.
We were mostly interested in seeing some of the historical site. We even saw a few wedding parties at City Hall, which was charming.
It was a fun way to see the city.

This is the perfect activity to begin your stay in Santa Barbara. It gave us an overview of the history and perspective of the layout of the area. The 9:30am time we chose gave us the remaining part of the day to revisit areas that caught our attention during the tour. Andre and Will were very knowledgeable professional and personable.
Before beginning they asked us if we had any specific interests or expectations of the tour. We felt that was a nice way to start and felt the experience to be individualized and not a “cookie cutter” experience.
The bikes provided were well maintained and fitted perfectly for each of us.
At the end of the tour we had recommendations for hikes and restaurants that Andre and Will shared from their experience as locals to the area.
Overall a very enjoyable time.
Highly recommend the company and guides Andre and Will.

Highly recommend this tour. This was our first time vacationing in Santa Barbara, and starting off with this tour was a great way to learn about the city and all it has to offer. Our guide, Bella, was fabulous! She was knowledgeable, thoughtful and accommodating about our interests, and a lot of fun! We visited a wide range of city and ocean-side sites. We took an e-bike tour this past weekend, and our guide, Bella, was the best! She took us to places we hadn’t visited before and shared fascinating facts about the town and its people. Best of all, she was thoughtful and considerate of our slower pace as we navigated through the Funk Zone and State Street, cruised along the beaches, and rode uphill to a scenic lookout point. Overall, it was the perfect, relaxing way to spend part of our afternoon!
