Itinerary

Meet your expert guide at the Ellwood Preserve in the city of Goleta, located in Santa Barbara County. After you’re outfitted with a proper bike and helmet, set out on your small-group mountain bike tour, stopping along the way with plenty of photo opportunities to capture the gorgeous scenery. Whether you’ve selected the beginner or intermediate route, this tour requires a moderate level of fitness to complete the entire 1.5-hour ride before ending back at the starting point.

Beginner Tour - You’ll ride a relatively flat route with small hills along coastal bluffs and pedal through a preserve filled with picturesque meadows and eucalyptus groves on this recreational ride — perfect for beginners and families.

Intermediate Tour - Pedal your way through a park on smooth trails with small jumps for adventurous intermediate-level riders. You’ll cycle up a hill roughly 150 feet (46 meters) in elevation. From the top, admire sweeping 360-degree views of Santa Barbara, including the American Riviera, the Pacific Ocean and even the Channel Islands on a clear day.
