Please be ready at your chosen pickup point 30 minutes before your departure time. Our pickup vehicles are well marked with Reykjavik Excursions logo. In Reykjavik City Center, pick up directly from hotels is not permitted, therefore there are special bus stops within walking distance that are specifically for pickup/drop off for airport transfers and tours. For further information and to find which bus stop you should select for pick up, please enter your accommodation address in the search box of www.busstop.is. Please note, city center hotels aren’t included in the pick up list, you will need to select your closest bus stop number. You decide at the Blue Lagoon on your return time from the Blue Lagoon, here below is the timetable: From Blue Lagoon to Reykjavík: 13:15; 14:15; 16:15; 18:15; (20:15 from June 1.2026).

Relax and take your time. Enjoy the experience! Schedule a full day and don’t rush. I felt like it was not crowded with the appropriate amount of people enjoying the Blue Lagoon.

Be ready for the Instagram crowd and bring flip flops. Spring for the robes so you can sit comfortably between pool dips. Be careful with your phone (we saw at least one lady drop hers in the water). Skin felt amazing after the mud mask and mineral water. And ladies do NOT get your hair wet especially if it is color treated.

Thoroughly check pick up port location point and cover all possible areas as bus rank is huge as we arrived from our ship at 9.20 am asked to be on site from 9.30am for a 10am pickup checked with any and all Reykjavik excursions drivers for our bus to take us to the blue lagoon at 9.55am I phoned the contact number to be told that our driver had reported us as a no show along with another couple and gone without us !! HOW CAN THAT HAPPEN
The agent on the phone managed to get us on another bus to the bus depot and onto the destination but it took a 10 min international phone call at around £30 and a tense delay to sort it out but I was grateful for his and the replacement drivers help to at least get to the lagoon but it meant we lost an hour of our time there as we needed to catch a 2.15pm bus back as there was no 3.15pm bus to correct our stay time to return to the ship for our next planned event
The trip is pretty expensive but cheaper than using the cruise lines booking
Certainly this aside the experience of the lagoon is a bucket list must much bigger than I expected and with some extra unexpected areas viewing sites relax areas steam rooms and quiet zones the water is lovely and warm like a huge hot tub in a dramatic setting of steam but could have liked an extra 30 or 40 mins would have been perfect timing
The site is extremely well organised just need to take swim wear and flip flops everything else is provided the staff are excellent
The return bus trip was great and as expected he arrived by 2pm and as should be expected didn't leave until 2.15pm precisely if only the experience going out was the same it would have been 5 stars
We used viator in New York back in January and everything worked like clockwork and had hoped for the same efficient service where we had an excellent guide on board ot would have been nice to have some Iceland history and points of interest to look at and listen to but glad we made the trip in the end

This is very relaxing. Know the pick up times from the drop off point. There was no 1500 pick up time so we either had to leave after a short visit or stay longer than needed.

Going to The Blue Lagoon was one of my favorite places. The staff there go above and beyond. They even have a greeter who will take your picture. Going in the Blue Lagoon is very relaxing! It feels great on ya skin!

The bus picked us up from our hotel and took us to the bus terminal where we boarded another bus which took us to the Blue Lagoon. We had a wonderful experience at the Blue Lagoon and recommend it highly. It should be noted that the return buses only run every 2 hours so plan your return trip carefully. We ended up waiting for about an hour in the small waiting area before a bus arrived. The return bus took us directly back to our hotel instead of to the bus terminal which was appreciated.

Place to be picked up. You can’t get a towel until after the bath but you can get a bath robe before bath. It makes a big difference if the traveller knows it so she gets an option to get the comfort or premium. Premium has bath robe, comfort only a towel.

It was awesome and fun. The lagoon was so beautiful and refreshing. The locker rooms, bathrobes and towels were first class.
If you fly into Reykjavik, I would go directly from the airport to Blue Lagoon. (Pack your swim stuff easily accessible.) The warm water will relax you after your long flight. There’s no sense in getting all the way into Reykjavik, then going all the way out to blue Lagoon, then all the way back to Reykjavik. It’s an hour each way. There are tours that will take you from the airport to Blue Lagoon. To get from the lagoon to your hotel, I know there are taxis, but maybe your tour takes you to your hotel too.

My trouble is with Viator, not Blue Lagoon as I had no experience with Blue Lagoon.
I had a flight to catch and booked my pickup and leave times to be at BL for just over 2 hours. Unfortunately, Viator never communicated to Reykjavík Excursions (bus company) my pickup location and my pick was delayed for nearly an hour. This cause me time at BL to be only 45 minutes.
I spent more time in the locker room than in the pool!
RE was very helpful in getting me the appropriate accomodations to BL once the error was found. They also offered to assist in getting my travel booked from BL to KEF airport, but I’d already booked my own transport after multiple communication attempts with Viator had been unsuccessful.
I requested a 70% refund from Viator given the majority of the fault lays with their failures in communication with me and RE. They did provide me with 25%, to the fully fair. But the only service I feel I really received was a bus to BL, a drink, and a shower.

Although the description says the Premium Ticket includes "All Compfort Benefits" (which btw includes a non alcoholic drink) plus a bunch of other things, We were surprised when we checked out that the non alcoholic drink was not included and we were charged 2,052 kr or $16.66. Needless to say we were disappointed! The man said we would have to take it up with Viator. But BE AWARE!
Other than that we had a great time...

Wonderful beginning to our Arctic adventure. Transportation was comfortable and efficient. Property was clean and all amenities were in good working order. This would have been a 5 star review had we not spent nearly an hour checking in. Very inefficient system and poor management oversight made for a disappointing first impression.

I was given a new meet up place but the url was not complete. Requested clarification and got a follow up after 12. Our bus left at 9. I figured it out, small port.
Nice ride to the lagoon. Once we arrived we should of been told to get in the shorter, fadter line as a prearranged ticket, rather than the ticketed line
The Blue Lagoon was so relaxing and the masks were fun to do. I did use conditioner prior to getting into the lagoon but i wanted to float. My hair needed a deep conditioning after the lagoon.
Showering prior to putting on your bathing suit took patience.
Overall a very woth while trip.

This was fun, we did the upgrade for the full package which we all thoroughly enjoyed. A very sort of surreals experience….make sure to go towards the far back pools, much less crowded and really able to just relax and enjoy the warm waters.
The transportation itself was sort of a let down, it was basically a bus picking up a bunch of different tour groups all at the same place and driving us to a large central station where we each got onto an appropriate bus for our particular tour. The biggest thing is to make sure to look at the return times for your bus, we just glanced at it and thought it looked like it was every hour….after enjoying ourselves for a few hours in the lagoon we were ready to leave. Once outside we looked to,see what time the bus would arrive and for some reason it ran every hour until 2 PM and after that ran every 2 hours…..we of course saw this at 230 pm so,we had quite a long wait.

Blue lagoon was a very nice experience. Given the option again I would pick the Sky Lagoon. The biggest issue we had was very poor communication regarding the transportation. We had selected a hotel and when we arrived there they told us to then go to a bus stop and look for Reykjavik Excursions. We waited and the only bus with that name said it was the wrong bus. We then called Viator and we were told to look for a different bus. When that came they said it too was not the right bus. Another bus came and had that not called our name I would have not even thought it was the right bus. Our tickets said 3 pm which we assumed meant our reservation at Blue Lagoon was for then. We arrived there about 4 pm which is when our experience happened.

One of a kind experience that is amazing! The milky blue color of the warm water is so inviting, and relaxing. The masks leave your face feeling clean and soft, and the walk up bar is delightful!
