Bring flip flops and get ready to relax. If you are taking the bus, give yourself 30 min-45 min to get ready to leave. I would recommend spending no less than 4 hours from time of pick up to your return time.

I didnt enjoy the Blue lagoon, water too hot for me and too difficult to see anything with the steam. You need to bring cheap sunglaases to wear when in lagoon as very bright & hard to see. Good preception glasses could be damaged. Even wear a rimmed cap. I would avoid the free face mask as it difficult to get off. It went in to my eyes and i was blinded for a time as only a trickle of cold water from taps to clean face. Also you wont do more than an hour before taking a break. 2 hrs is enough if booking a time slot

Very easy pickup and transfer to Blue Lagoon. Check in should of been quick but on our visit the IT crashed and took an hour to fix. The staff where excellent dealing with the ever increasing number of guests arriving. However the queue was kept entertained by a staff member telling stories and others passing out free coffee and ice cream.
Once into the lagoon the memory of the glitch was forgotten and a very relaxing experience in unique setting. Truly lucky with temperatures below freezing and clear blue sky enhanced the warm waters of the lagoon. Expensive but well worth it.

Does what it says on the tin, takes you to blue lagoon and back, be aware the bus can leave upwards of 15 mins early so be ready in advance! The blue lagoon itself needs no review it’s what you go for

Good transportation on the way to the lagoon, on the return trip you need to make sure you are in line early enough (bus will fill up). Everything was explained well once we were at the lagoon and day was wonderful. Good experience overall and definitely loved having the additional robe included as well as masks and drinks.

We picked a 15:00/3 PM start time and I really wish we’d gone earlier in the day. That start time is when the bus leaves, we didn’t actually get to the Blue Lagoon until 4:20ish. Then there’s a 5ish minute walk to get to the entrance, you wait in line to enter/check-in, then have to shower and change before getting in the lagoon, etc. And you have to add that time in for when you’re leaving. The latest bus back is at 18:15/6:15 PM. Which means we only had about 45 minutes to an hour actually in the lagoon. It was amazing, we were just very rushed and didn’t get to do everything we wanted there. I’d recommend picking the 13:00/1 PM start time at the very latest for this tour.

The blue lagoon is a fantastic experience but the transfer is not well organised. The first bus had my name on the list, the second bus asked me for a bus ticket. Viator provided me with an excursion ticket. The driver did let us on. Apparently, he made an announcement about the bus times but only people at the front could hear. We were unaware that we could stay as long as we wanted and get a bus back at 15 minutes past the hour. Thankfully someone told us this. The tour shows 4 hours but it's actually as long as you want it to be. Better information required Viator!!

This was a really surreal experience. The temperatures were around zero and the lifeguards were wearing puffer jackets and beanies, but we relaxed in our cosies in mineral water that was close to blood temperature.
The transfers with Icelandia Travel were smooth. Although we had to get ourseleves to the bus station (a short walk) on the outward journey, they took us back to the bus stop to our hotel on the home journey.

You wonder how you could spend 3 or 4 hours here but time flys, after a drink and floating around the outside and stopping and having a coffee and a snack, getting your phone to take some snaps and another drink and once more around, it's great.

A perfectly relaxing day. Loved it!
There are a few private changing rooms as you go in. Look out for them to the left before you turn right to the locker areas, they look a bit like cupboards next to the hair drying area. You’re given a wrist band which you pair to a locker. You use this wristband to pay for anything outside your pre paid package and this you do as you leave so no need to take any kind of money into the lagoon with you.
Robes and flip flops can be worn through the changing rooms and hung up before you enter the lagoon. They’ll make you shower before you enter the lagoon. You can either enter the lagoon from inside and open a door whilst you are in the water so you don’t get cold or you can go outside and then get in. It’s worth knowing the bottom of the lagoon is man made and therefore smooth.
Once in, there are different areas you can move around in. There’s a face mask bar to the left and a drinks bar to the right. There is a sauna, a steam room and just passed the sauna, under a bridge, is a quiet zone, no phones or noise. Absolute bliss. I sat there for 3hrs, only leaving to get a drink. My idea of heaven. There’s another area where you can book in-water massages. I didn’t try this.
You can buy food and drink both poolside and at a cafe overlooking the lagoon. There’s also a tourist type shop.
There wasn’t a time limit on how long you could be in the lagoon.

First I should say the Blue Lagoon is a fantastic experience and very enjoyable.
The issue is with the transport. Despite being at the pick up bus stop 10 minutes before pick up time the minibus taking us to the bus terminal to join the main bus managed to leave without us. We were standing on the pavement with many other people saw the driver who opened his door stood on the pavement without saying a word got back on the bus closed the door and drove off. It turns out that it is up to us to approach the driver and tell them our destination. I do not know how hard it can be for the driver to shout out the destination to the crowd of people but he did not. Tried ringing the tour company and was just on hold. Our hotel was nearby and the reception rang the company and we were told to get a taxi to the bus depot by 8 am to join the bus. We made it with minutes to spare. Only to find the bus was full ! This was a pre - arranged trip and paid for in advance ! The company did transfer us and about 6 other people who had been left behind and were referred to as 'stragglers' by the minibus driver. And of course we paid about €20 for the taxi. No choice really as we would have missed our trip.
So the moral of the story is to approach all of the minibus and coach drivers which pull up at your pick up point or they will leave without you. And be aware there are a lot of people waiting for buses and a lot of coaches and minibuses pull up.
Also on the way back from the Blue Lagoon the coach left 10 minutes earlier than the departure time as it was full. So beware. A taxi back to the capital costs €120 -140. Fortunately we got on the coach.
Blue Lagoon is fabulous though.

To clarify a few points for future travellers: our Blue Lagoon transfers do not depart at 08:00. For transfers scheduled at that time with any operator, pickup from Reykjavík bus stops typically begins up to 30 minutes earlier, as multiple stops are serviced before reaching the main departure point. Guests are therefore advised to be ready during that pickup window and to approach the driver from the tour operator they are booked with, since several buses from different companies may arrive at the same stop.
Regarding the return journey, when a coach fills up, an additional departure is always scheduled to accommodate remaining passengers. It is important to review ticket details, departure instructions, and operator information in advance, and to contact the tour provider beforehand if anything is unclear, so the day runs smoothly.

The Blue Lagoon was so relaxing and absolutely gorgeous. I wish I was more prepared for the changing / shower experience and wish I brought a waterproof pouch for my phone. Missed the initial pick up and had to get to the BSI Terminal. The bus stops in Reykjavik have so many tours waiting to be picked up that it is confusing.

Beautiful lagoon , lives up to the hype! If you’re uncomfortable with nudity, you should opt for the premium package so that you get a robe to use to go in shower otherwise you will be naked to go shower before you put your swimsuit on.

A fantastic experience, so glad we decided to go as we weren’t sure about the price - it is an expensive trip. The Blue Lagoon itself was very relaxing and the process was very well organised. The transfer there was fine but coming back we had an issue in that the bus we had booked was full so we had to wait 30 mins for them to get another bus to pick us up. Having said that, I would definitely recommend doing this.

People who claim the Blue Lagoon is overrated and crowded and expensive are insane in my opinion. :)
This was 10000% worth it, especially because you can stay for literally however long you want.
Even when there are a lot of people there, it's not crowded because the actual lagoon is GIANT.
The face masks are so fun and the water is the perfect temperature.

We enjoyed our visit weather not the best unfortunately but didn’t stop us having a good time. If you are chilly there’s a sauna and steam room to chill out in. No timescale so stay all day we found 2 hours plenty.

Absolutely loved the blue lagoon!. I was a bit worried I should have upgraded to premium after seeing that it included ‘private changing’ I don’t know what I expected with the ‘comfort’ package maybe changing outside in the cold 🤣 but it was absolutely brilliant, lovely facilities and you don’t have to dash to the pool freezing as I had envisioned there’s a part of the building that the lagoon flows into and you can submerge in the lovely warm water before venturing outside through a door in the water. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
Buy a waterproof phone case before you go as I hadn’t considered this but wanted some pics (although the steam means no to landscape photos capturing the whole lagoon but I got some good photos of us with our face masks and drinks) I bought one on site before going in which was over £20. There are hairdryers and facilities to dry your swimwear in well maintained changing rooms. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Really recommend
