Itinerary
After hotel pickup in Reykjavik, your day trip starts as you hop aboard the Superjeep and head out of the city to the first stop on the Golden Circle—Thingvellir National Park. At this location, where Europe's and North America's tectonic plates meet, you can stand where Vikings stood centuries ago.
Then head to the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur, home to Iceland's famous geyser that gave its name to all others, as well as Strokkur geyser, which is more active, erupting nearly every five minutes. Look for geothermal activity such as steam vents, hot springs, and blue algae.
Then continue to the last Golden Circle stop, Gullfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland's most impressive, with its dramatic cascade down a deep gorge. When you leave the waterfall, stop for lunch at Gullfoss Café, where you can choose from items such as Icelandic meat soup (own expense).
Before heading back to the city, find out what your 4x4 vehicle can do as your guide takes you on a ride to the highlands and glacier area of Langjökull, one of the country's largest ice caps. Visit Faxi Waterfall, and then return to Reykjavik, where your tour ends in the evening.
Tour vehicles have been modified with 40-inch (1-meter) wheels that can handle the challenging terrain of Iceland all year. Jeeps are equipped with fold-down steps for easy accessibility, leather seats, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, GPS, first-aid kit, trackwell, and other security equipment.

Amazing experience. Our trip in January you should dress warm …. Eric our driving was full of knowledge and an excellent confident driver. The whole trip was amazing however the Glacier visit even though couldn’t go as far due to weather was spectacular. Eric is a huge asset to this company with his driver skills and knowledge. Just amazing !!! I hope to return and do it again 😁😁😁

Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The only reason not to give 5 stars was that the vehicle was not quite as advertised—there was no WiFI available, and the window controls in the middle row were not operating, making it difficult to take pictures.

Would recommend it to anyone .

Thomas was a great tour guide and navigated the snowy/icy landscape like the pro he is. We were even able to sneak another waterfall into the tour, which ca was my favorite! As you are in the back of a jeep and on rough terrain at times, I recommend taking motion sickness pills if you are sensitive. My partner was totally fine but I was nauseous on the way back down the glacier. No worries though, Thomas was accommodating and we were able to take a break. To me, this is the benefit of taking a smaller group tour/private tour. Highly recommend this!

Fantastic experience seeing an amazing environment. We went on a very cold and wild day. We were able see waterfalls, glaciers, historic trails

Bigor was terrific. We had a wonderful time highlighted by the glacier. He was fun, informative and patient.

Biggy was a wonderful tour guide. Energetic, funny, knowledgeable. Fantastic tour of iconic yet phenomenal sires! I highly recommend this tour!

Does not list what you don’t get—water, snacks, lunch
Great driver (Biggie). He always parked so we didn’t have to trudge uphill.
Disappointed no real information about the sites (like how long between geyser blows.) However, in this case, the sites themselves were more important.
LOVED the glacier !!!!

Would have given this a much higher rating but for 2 things.
Booked land-rover but got super jeep, which I had extreme difficulty getting in and out of,one of the other passengers did assist me but found the experience embarrassing and spent the whole day dreading the next stop and couldn't wait for it to end, a small portable step being made available would have made a massive difference as when the driver did stop at a kerb when available there was no problem,as it was now left with a bad shoulder, limiting the activities for rest of stay.
The other problem was that the group who were picked up first had changed the itinerary and decided to go snowmobiling, something I could not do, but felt we had no choice but to agree.
I was with my granddaughter aged 14 who said she would like to do it so our driver agreed to take her otherwise we would have both been stuck in the jeep for 90 mins instead of just me ( I did give the driver a large tip for doing this ) You should get the trip you booked .
We did get to see the sights , geyser, the waterfall, and a walk through the national park but only got 10 mins off road due to the snowmobiling which was one of the main reasons I booked it.
Would just book a normal bus tour if we came back at less than half the price.
Both of these issues would not be difficult to fix.

Such a fun trip. Einar was a wonderful guide and took us to so many fantastic sites. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in exploring the golden circle!
Dawn_F, Feb 2025
Had the best time exploring many must-see sites. Full day visiting waterfalls, horses and even ate some ice cream.

Great small tour & tour guide! The jeep is so cool and we were lucky enough to only end up in a group of four! Would highly recommend

Jeep had 10 passengers. We were NOT picked up at our hotel. We were the last pick up at a bus station so we’re stuck in the last row for the entire trip. Windows fogged up most of the trip so couldn’t even see out. $700 for 2 of us. Geyser was nice, waterfall ok, walked “ on glacier for 10 minutes-driver good but drive very fast. You can do all by rental car except glacier. All in all Iceland has a love hate relationship with its massive amount of tourists. Buyer beware

Hi
Thanks for joining the tour and also for taking a part of your time to write us a review, that is so important for us to get the feedback, see what we are doing well and also to see where we can improve our work.
There are few things I would like to mention,
You were in a 10 passenger vehicle, with 9 passengers on board, no one is stuck in the back, I will have a word with the driver as we do check on people if everyone is ok, and rotate people between seats, and clearly it does not look like that was the case on youe tour and I am sorry.
Regarding the foggy windows, this can happen when the weather is not working with us, and it is raining, like on your day, when everyone get wet an get inside it intend to be foggy, we have extra ventilation, but sometimes it is not enough.
Regading the speeding, not good, I have will have a word with my drivers, to to respect the speedlimited, the vehicel you were in has speed limiter, but of course it can go to fast in the conditions for example on the glacier,.
Like i said to you on the phone we are not allowed to drive or stop everywhere in the city center, and your hotel is in the zone we are not allowed in, so then we need to use the bus stop, and even say on the site,
"We pick up in any Hotel in Reykjavík area, just keep in mind due to regulations some streets downtown Reykjavik are to small for superjeeps in those cases we use bus stops for pick up."
again I want to thank you for the tour and the review, hope to see you again in Iceland
Best regards
Gosi

Nick was an excellent guide. What a fun tour. We saw the Golden Circle and did the Land Rover overland
Sjourd_W, Jul 2024
Nice tourguide and good car (unfortunately very bad weather and too crowded spots). We couldn't see anything because of the heavy rain and fog, especially on the glacier.
Michael_H, Jul 2024
Taking the jeep in the glacier was the highlight of the trip. This is what distinguished the trip from the bus tours.
Allison_D, Jun 2024
Our guide, Nick, was fantastic! He went above and beyond to show us the best sights and gave exceptional information along the way!
The sights were simply stunning! The ability of the Super Jeep to reach far distances off the tarmac was unmatched! This was a day my family will always remember! My 7 year old son was amazed! Definitely worth every penny!

We were only in Reykjavik for a couple days. This tour gives you a fantastic overview of the beautiful Icelandic landscape. Highly recommended, it will be a day you won’t soon forget!
Anwesha_T, Jun 2024
Excellent, esp. the off-roading and trip across the glacier. Highly recommended. Not rushed, plenty of time and very enjoyable
Jack_B, Dec 2023
This tour was incredible, and I am particularly pleased to have toured the Golden Circle in a small group in a superjeep. We were able to stay ahead of the crowds and spend more time at sites of particular interest to us. Driving into the highlands on unplowed roads enabled us to see pristine landscapes and experience Iceland’s rapidly changing weather conditions in ways that would have been impossible without the super jeep.
Thody was an excellent guide and even better driver.

This tour is a must do. we went to a couple of water falls that are gorgeous. Saw Gilma Geyser. Visited Thingvellir national park and drove to Langjokull Glazer which was amazing. We were able to get off and walk on the Glazer and take pictures.

Glacier ride was amazing. Tour guide very knowledgeable and entertaining. Geysir was super cool. Waterfall amazing!

Yngvi the Tour Guide was excellent. Direct and Informative. Four Great stops. Iceland has remarkable beauty. Amazing jeep ride. Would definitely recommend. Glacier was the highlight
Laurence_C, Jun 2023
Stops were nice. Not rushed. Weather was good. Not much else to say about it but I need 100 characters.
Tracy_L, Jun 2023
We had the best time - we saw everything we expected and more! The jeep was comfortable and our driver was an expert in off road - it was an amazing experience. Timing of each stop was done to perfection so we got the best views of the glacier while the westher was good and we missed the crowds.
Would highly recommend!

Great day. Advertised as luxury vehicle. I could only last 15 minutes in the back seats, only suitable for children really, or Hobbits. Lucky vehicle was not fully booked so I could sit in front.
No wifi as advertised.
Nikolas_H, Mar 2023
Given previous reviews we were looking forward to this more than any other trip in Iceland. I appreciate you can't rely on the weather, but believe we should have been advised that the glacier step was not worth it and adjust the trip accordingly (taking in other sights). It was fun in the jeep, but it seemed as though the trip to the glacier was a tick box exercise to say it was done. For the money it seems to be an oversight to have no plan B. I am sure it is amazing in clear weather, but you should carefully review the trip if it is questionable as Superjeep did not.

Logo was a fabulous guide. Happy to answer any questions we had and never made us feel rushed. A fabulous experience!
