We loved this tour and our guide was a great historian. We wanted to see sights off the beaten path and he delivered. The tour included several beautiful parks and gardens as well as historic sites dedicated to the day to day difficult life of the 19th and early 20th century citizens. We would highly recommend adding this tour to your list of must sees. You’ll get away from the busy touristy region and see many of the places where the residents go to get away from the crowds. But one of the things we enjoyed most was after asking him about golf courses in the area he took us to see one. It was a riot to see the golfers on this incredibly flat course try to battle the gusty very gusty conditions.

We took a 4 hour tour of the city. We asked our host to show us what he found most interesting to visit. In response, he gave us a tour of the parks around the city and how geology shaped its history and development. This included a visit to the original hydroelectric power station which is now a museum. Our guide was particularly knowledgeable about the ship harbor and we learned a great deal about how seafood is handled and processed. Very well done!
