This was such an incredible experience. Highly recommended!! Our guide, Curtis, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He came prepared and we had a blast. The views were amazing and we have pictures and videos that will remind us of this trip for years to come.

A very strenuous climb, amazing views at the top. Wear shoes with good grip! This is an amazing experience. made all the more enjoyable by Mike the guide who was so knowledgeable about the local area.

It’s a public trail, so if you’re interested in just hiking at your own pace I recommend heading up there yourself. Save your money. Plenty people on the trail! If you’re looking for someone to keep you up to pace, with Knowledge of the mountain and its surroundings, then this tour is for you !

My 13yo son and I had a great time on this hike. Mike Hopkins was super knowledgeable about the plants and animals as well as the history of the area. This made for an excellent experience and helped us understand the terrain we were hiking through much more than we would have been able to on our own. The hike is strenuous, so be prepared for that. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon. 10/10 would use Mike Hopkins again.

Difficult hike but well worth it! Curtis was great. Not bad about halfway up, a little rock climbing needed to get to summit. Had a great time.

It was kind of a challenging hike for me, but I was able to do it with our tour guide, Curtis. He is very knowledgeable and thoughtful, brings plenty of water, snacks and took beautiful photos for us. Thank you !

Curtis was an awesome guide. He made the hike very fun and memorable, and I enjoyed listening to his past hiking stories!
We were able to get up in an hour and down in an hour fifteen, including breaks. If you have hiked before, even moderately, this hike should be no problem.
The views were gorgeous, and I would absolutely do it again!

This hike was very challenging, yet thrilling! Curtis was a very energetic, funny and overall cool guide. Getting to the top felt satisfying and exhilarating. The weather was perfect; not too hot and had a nice breeze with some sun. Definitely book the trip! It was worth it in every way.

It was a physical hike and very Hot. Hydration is key. I absolutely loved it and would do it again. Having a guide was great as well, very helpful, not a necessity but recommended if it's your first time. Curtis was amazing. He was friendly, informative, and extremely helpful. He catered to us regarding hydration, food, and stating cool . Great workout. Going to the top is a must, plan for 3 hours, maybe 3 and a half so you are not rushed.

What an experience climbing Camelback Mountain! My guide Michael 💪 made the day from a normal climb like most other tourist into an adventure/experience that I would not have had without him as a guide. We took a route far less traveled upon and he showed me some routes that he used on his own personal hikes. This allowed for some bouldering, a little climbing, and not being around the crowds near as much. I was able to see other parts of the mountain that a typical person would have missed. It also gave me even more a sense of accomplishment to reach the top! Throughout the hike he shared some education on the area, wildlife, vegetation, and other hikes to do in the area. He also took some amazing pictures that I would have never captured if I hiked by myself. I would recommend a guide for solo hikers or small groups, and I would highly recommend Michael as the guide of choice!

Michael was a great guide and coach. He provided lots of info and important tips to make our hike to the top of Camelback safe and insightful. Having never hiked with bouldering we were grateful to have a knowledgeable guide and we had an amazing experience. We highly recommend using a guide for this hike.

What an awesome adventure! Mike was great as a guide and coach and historian of the area. I appreciated the hike and the climb and the views, and I really enjoyed the background Mike provided regarding the natural history of the place and the long human history.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! I'm SO glad I did it. I am far from an experienced hiker, and I was very concerned about whether or not I could do this hike. Physically, if you're in good shape, this is definitely something you're capable of. But if you're not an experienced hiker, and if you're not familiar with this type of hiking, I recommend getting a guide. My guide was Kyndle, and I absolutely love her. She was super encouraging and reassuring. She even advised other inexperienced hikers who were on their own. You can tell she does this because she enjoys it and wants people to be safe.
Do this. You will be so proud of yourself!

My best friend and I had the most amazing hike for our annual birthday getaway weekend trip on 12/7, and we can’t stop talking about it! Mike guided us through one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences we have had during our 40-year friendship! We loved hearing about the history, wildlife, and geography of Phoenix and Camelback, and we truly appreciated the encouragement and motivation during our trek. We absolutely LOVE the many beautiful and fun pics that Mike took during our trip, especially the ones while in action and at the summit. We were so thrilled to see an athletic Santa at the summit, and hikers there even sang Happy Birthday to us! It’s hard to completely describe the sense of accomplishment, elation, and joy in nature we felt! We can honestly say this is one of the best experiences we’ve shared as lifelong friends, and we plan to do it again next year.

Excellent hike up Camelback with Liz! She came prepared with water, a backpack, and gloves for me to use…all much appreciated. She knew tons of facts and gave me some suggestions of things to do in the area based on our conversation during the hike. Very friendly and a great way to start the day! Highly recommend!!

Our guide Curtis was amazing. It was nice having an experienced hiker to push us along the way all the way to the top of Camelback. Besides being an awesome guide, Curtis captured our climb and ultimately our successful climb to the top with pictures. Total “framers”!

Over the last 2 years I’ve been on a fitness journey and I’ve recently become interested in outdoor activities. So I decided to hike a mountain! Little did I know that Camelback mountain is considered an extremely difficult trail. Thankfully the guidance provided by Liz was phenomenal. She is extremely patient and offered a lot of encouragement. I’m happy to say I made it to the top of the mountain with her assistance!! Liz told me what to expect throughout the entire hike. Liz is the best! I don’t think we would have made it to the summit without her. We were all a little nervous before the scramble and with her leading the way, our confidence kicked in and we all had so much fun. It’s definitely challenging but so rewarding. We loved all of her local knowledge and fun personality too!
