The Gardens are open every day from 7.00am during the high season (April 1st to October 31st). They close at 8.30pm in high season, with early closures at 5.30pm to prepare the Night Fountains Show, every Saturday from June 7 to September 20 and on certain other dates (May 24, July 14, August 15 and October 28, 29, 30 and 31, 2025).
Access to the gardens via the South Garden (access via the Court of Honour of Palace of Versailles), the Neptune Gate (access via the Queen’s Gate, Boulevard de la Reine at weekends and public holidays only) or the Little Venice Gate (access via the Grand Parc).
The Dragon Gate is open daily from April 1st to October 31st.

I booked the 2:30 times ticket because the 1:30 entry was sold out. When I received the tickets they were for 4pm instead of 2:30.

Be early and have time for the gardens

Get early in line for the scheduled time as they are long and it might take 30 minutes to enter the palace. I would focus on the main rooms in the palace like the hall of mirrors and pass quickly through the galleries to have more time for the gardens
