Great tour!
Was great! Hit all the must sees, with time at the end to explore as we liked. Skipped all the lines, even for the restrooms! Our guide was nice, knowledgeable and funny. There were only 5 people on the tour so we all got to ask questions and I really enjoyed it.

Brun for Brie is the best tour guide! AMAZING!!
What an incredible day! Our tour guide, known as “Brun from Brie” was super knowledgeable, as she is getting her master’s in history. You could tell she loved her job and really enjoys working with people. She not only got us into the group line first, but gave us very helpful tips on navigating Monet’s property…. And in doing so, we made it to the water gardens with almost no one there in any of our pictures!! It was amazing! Braun’s sense of humor and professionalism made this the best tour on our 15 days in France!

Great way to experience...
Great way to experience Versailles stress free. Our guide Thibeault was terrific. He provided a lot of information regarding the history of Versailles. He was very warm, friendly and made sure everyone was well cared for. The biking was a great way to experience the surrounding gardens. The market both indoor and outdoor ( bonus for us on a Tuesday) was perfect for gathering our food for lunch.

A fascinating tour in which history comes alive
The D-Day Beaches experience is simply not to be missed. The bus is roomy and comfortable; the trip includes WiFi access with charging outlets for each passenger. The excursion begins with a three-hour ride to Utah beach, with a rest stop along the way. Our English-speaking guide provided informative historical context and commentary throughout the day; BTW, he was also quite funny! At Utah beach, you will walk the beach (tide willing) as well as having plenty of time to explore the wonderful museum, built from a German bunker, that tells the complete story of the D-day invasion with exhibits providing in-depth information about the role of the armies, navies, and air forces of all the Allied nations. Individual tributes are well-integrated in the museum, including the roles played by the Comanche code-talkers, the French resistance, and many, many others. There is a B-26 Marauder on site, as well as other equipment used during the battle. The next stop is the Pointe du Hoc, the battlefield where 225 American Army rangers climbed high cliffs to neutralize the massive gun emplacements that could have destroyed the D-day landing beaches. This memorial has been largely left as it was, with the bunkers and huge shell-pits from the Allied naval bombardments still intact. After the Point du Hoc comes lunch in a charming Norman restaurant with a choice of entrees and good Norman cider. After lunch comes Omaha beach, a huge, walkable sandy beach with nice memorials. The last stop of the tour is a solemn and emotional visit to the American cemetery, where over 9,000 graves provide silent witness to the sacrifice of the young men, and several young women, who fell to provide us with our freedom. We arrived in time to witness the daily ceremony during which Taps is played, the American and French flags are lowered, folded, and carefully placed in a special repository. This is a wonderful and moving excursion suitable for all.
