Ali was a fantastic guide, he waited for me when my bus was late, and hepled me to navigate my way inside when I was getting flustered. He was very funny, and encouraging to get us all up the stairs. I had a wonderful time, thankyou

Great experience! Sunny was easy to find at the meeting point, and the group only had 5 people in it so we were able to get started and move quickly. It was a good combination of letting us explore at our own pace, while also taking the time to give a brief explanation of the history!

Amazing Eiffel Tower tour

Great information about construction of the tower. Loved the climb to the 2nd floor. Great views. Worth the money to go to the top. Have lunch on the second floor. We didn’t and wished we had. Book top of the tower 6months in advance of going to eat up there.

There were much more steps than we expected however it was very efficient and no queue. The longest queue was for the tickets we had pre ordered. Lucky to have a sunny day wouldn’t want to be up there in rain or wind! Magnificent views from the summit. Our guide nathalie was superb

This was an awful experience. Uncle Sam is a scam. Do NOT purchase. They basically have you walking all around to find them when they are actually not even there just to send you a cancellation because you weren’t there 15 min earlier. We were calling and texting them and they blocked us. Do not buy.

Thank you for your review — though calling this a “scam” is quite a serious claim, especially when it doesn’t reflect how our tours actually operate. Our guides are present at the meeting point at the Eiffel Tower at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, exactly as stated in the booking instructions. They also wait a few extra minutes before departing, but tours cannot be delayed indefinitely for late arrivals — especially in a highly regulated site like the Eiffel Tower. The idea that guests are asked to “walk around to find us” or that guides are “not even there” simply doesn’t align with the reality of our daily operations, where hundreds of guests successfully join their tours without issue. As for being “blocked,” we do not block guests for trying to contact us. If anything, our team actively assists guests who are at the correct meeting point and reachable. We understand missing a tour is frustrating, but making false accusations does not change the facts of what occurred. For future bookings, we strongly recommend arriving at the exact meeting point at least 15 minutes early and remaining there — it tends to make the experience go much more smoothly.

Great activity and guide

If you get to the corner at the address and don't see anyone, just wait. The guide will meet you outside near there. I went too early and then was confused but it all went as the paperwork said. They had my name on the list so even though my voucher wasn't opening to a QR code I was fine. Then JD, our guide made it the best. He explained everything and answered our questions. He was kind and fun and flexible and knowledgeable.

Please note you are going to walk! Almost 700 stairs. It was tough, but the view was worth it! I recommend going at sunset. It’s a little cooler and the lights of the city are amazing.

Bed service and scam

We got scam with this package as we reach to place and we are 15-20 min late for ticket collection but we trying to call the local guys who distribute the tickets was left and call never answered back. Also we have from spot on same day to Viator and they tell us it’s not possible to connected with local guys .. do not book any tickets with this website its might easy to walk and get tickets from store

This is a COMPLETE SCAM!! DON'T book this. You do NOT get to go to the top of the eiffel tower even though you book it, and they do not refund the completed difference. Scam scam scam! Viator should remove this tour.

You mentioned arriving 15–20 minutes late, but according to our records, it was significantly later than that. This is a scheduled group tour at the Eiffel Tower, which operates on strict timing. The guide is present 15 minutes before the start time and departs shortly after — they cannot delay an entire group for late arrivals. Expecting a group of other guests to wait indefinitely is a bit like expecting a flight to be held because one passenger is running late — unfortunately, that’s not how scheduled experiences work. As for calling it a “scam,” that’s quite a strong accusation for a situation that simply involves missing a timed meeting point. The tour was available, the guide was present, and the experience ran as planned. We understand it’s frustrating to miss a tour, but that doesn’t make the service itself misleading. While this is a guided event with stair climb to second floor with optional lift/elevator to summit, note that they do not have the actual ticket beforehand. Our group had to stand in the line with tour guide and tour guide bought the ticket from the window. Unless you want a guide, you can stand in the line and get the ticket yourself. This was not clear to us from the description of the activity.

Not disabilities friendly be careful! A lot of stairs to climb !

Not suitable to disable people as there are more than 600 stairs to climb and you cannot get any refund so I had to buy a secondxsetvofctickwts to go up and could not go to thectop as this is forbidden to disabled people so overall I had roboty 4 times tickets to be avlevto go up so the Eiffel tower is not a disabilities friendly place

This is an Eiffel Tower climbing tour, as clearly stated in both the title and description of the experience at the Eiffel Tower. It explicitly mentions that there are aprroximately 700 steps to climb and that the activity is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. So yes… it involves stairs. A lot of them. That’s kind of the whole concept of a climbing tour. We do make this very clear before booking, precisely so guests can make an informed decision. Expecting a stair-based climbing experience to be disability-friendly is, unfortunately, a mismatch in expectations rather than an issue with the tour itself. We’re sorry the experience didn’t suit your needs, but the tour was delivered exactly as described.

Wait in line for tickets...

Wait in line for tickets was nearly 2 hours. The group leaders should have tickets ready. After waiting in a que for so long expected to climb up nearly 700 steps. Awful experience..spoilt the whole trip. Did not enjoy. The waiting for the summit was another hour. Would be better to book direct with effiel tower

Our guide was lovely and very engaging. However, I wish i had realized that being part of a tour did not mean any faster entry - we had to wait on the same long line (nearly 2 hours) as anyone else waiting to purchase tickets. We heard some interesting information both while we waited and once we climbed the stairs, and the guide was very mindful of keeping us all together and engaged - but given how long we had to wait I am not sure it was better than having gone on our own timing.

borderline scam

we were sold the experience as if it would have guaranteed a climb to the top floor and a faster access. In reality, it was exactly the same as buying the much cheaper entry tickets: when we arrived, we queued like everybody else and like everybody else we could not access the top floor because it was full. This is exactly as it was indicated on the official “plain” system since days. We therefore overpaid to get this special ticket for no reason whatsoever. They refund that we received for not accessing the top floor was 10% of the total price, which definitely did not compensate for the extra costs incurred for nothing. The guide was friendly, but he wasn’t the reason why we booked the ticket in the first place.

Tour guides help fill the wait time

We were reluctant to have a tour guide and perferrred to climb the tower alone and hearing that you have to wait in line with everyone else in spite of being part of a tour sounded ridiculous. However, having done just that, it is important to understand that the tour guide helps the time go by while you wait for up to an hour to get through the gates. Ekaette was engaging, and informative and I'm very happy that we visited the Eiffel Tower WITH a tour guide. She imprarted just the right amount of information then left us to enjoy the tower at our own pace.

Tour guide was good- boat tickets never arrived

Tour guide was great. That’s where the positive experience ends. I asked repeatedly how and when will we receive boat tickets as I had read bad reviews about tickets. I was told several times to show the tower ticket, which was clearly labelled tower. So I explained the issues I read about and asked for certainty and was told go to the river and show ticket. The tour took 3 hours so last boats were leaving when we got to the river which is huge and no sign of ‘uncle Sam’ sign we were told to find- very busy and unsafe so stressful as it is with children then having to get phone out in unsafe places full of pickpockets . Ticket office and boat stops all said the ‘tickets’ we had weren’t valid. Internet wasn’t working in the area and no one answering phone. So we missed out on the boat tour, very unhappy children and appalling lack of customer service and no response - when you call you hear French words then a tone like it is a voicemail we couldn’t even understand as English. Disgraceful and paid ten times as much as price on the day when you queue with people paying on the day. Words can’t express how bad this was and ruined our experience. Please, if you like yourself and the other with you, do not book.

Unexpected summit cancel

The summit to the top of the Eiffel might be canceled at any moment and that’s what happened to us. I liked the guide, nice and sweet but the summit was canceled due to too large of a crowd.

Not a timed ticket - prepare to wait in line with everyone.

This experience does NOT include a timed ticket. We thought it had a timed ticket because we met at 12:15 and it included a ticket. However we waited in line with our guide and everyone else who did not have a ticket for our guide to go up to the counter, purchase the ticket, and hand it to us. It felt like a scam. We could have done that ourselves just as easily. This package literally adds no value to your Eiffel Tower visit.

Horrible experience with the tour operator and Viator

Very bad experience. No proper response from the tour operator and the price at which the ticket purchased is not worth as we can get better access and one third of the Viator price at the entry gates. At the counter we can get elevator access and also we can get tickets for the lift to Summit at a cheap price which is one third of the Viator price. When raised the complaint Viator didn't process the refund as well

Why book a tour?

Our guide was lovely and we met him outside the grounds of the Eiffel Tower. He helps usher us through security and then we all waited in line for tickets together. There was some sort of snafu with the tickets as our guide seemed frustrated with our group having to wait in line, so I don’t know if the wait was unique to our group. We waited for an hour for our tickets and then cleared another round of security to climb the Eiffel Tower. I highly recommend going to the Eiffel Tower, but for the $300+ that we paid for our family of four, I wouldn’t book a tour for this experience again. I feel ripped off. Next time, I wouldn’t book simply arrive at the destination and purchase tickets on my own. It was a heck of a lot cheaper than what we paid! The risk might be that tickets are sold out, but we literally stood in line with a hundred other folks who were purchasing same-day tickets. Super nice and informative guide, but the overall tour experience for the exorbitant price is not something I’d do again.

Bait and Switch Bad Operator

This is a bait and switch. It clearly represents a summit ticket is an add on option which can be purchased. Once tour and summit tix purchased, you meet a tour guide near Eiffel Tower who states you will be waiting in line with them and if there are no summit tickets you’ll get a partial refund. The whole point for me was to ensure summit. I didn’t participate in tour and got on summit line instead and tour company refused to reimburse us and viator refunded 1/3 of our money.

Missing tour guide

Couldn’t find the tour group. Instructions say to meet at the corner of the avenue and look for the guide with a sign saying uncle sales tours. Did not see this anywhere and walked Steph free tower twice. It should not be that difficult to locate the staff.

You probably can tour the Eiffel Tower on your own for much less money. Tour guide was great and had a lot of knowledge but we still had to stand in line and buy tickets with him. Accidentally lost him on 1st level and never found him again!
