That you have to climb from the ground to the second floor (about 360 steps) no matter you already paid for elevator. It’s a very hard experience for people more than 50.

Absolutely terrible. We were at the designated spot at the time requested and the operator was not there. We asked others waiting for different groups if they saw a person with the Uncle Sam sign/hat and no one did. We began walking around after our departure time to see if he was somewhere else. I contacted operator through text and I received an AI response to go back to the original location. I called the operator number and it went to voicemail four times. I requested a refund and did not receive. I am so incredibly disappointed with Viator for not refunding and furious at the poor customer service at Uncle Sam tour. To have no one answer the phones and to have an AI generated response to my texts is insane. DO NOT BOOK. If I could have given 0 stars I would.

It was a very amazing experience but not for the faint of heart, make sure to walk and go up for about 25 minutes and if you’re out of shape like me out of breath by the time you get to the 2nd stage, but it’s worthwhile when you reach the place where you take awesome photos and keep wonderful memories 🇫🇷❤️🇫🇷

You don't have to take the stairs..
I found out after the fact... 674 Steps later.. but great tour, Eka, our tour guide was great, funny and very knowledgeable.

Guide gave a good job of explaining the story of how the tower was built but did not prepare us enough for the number of steps we needed to climb between the 2 levels

The tour group (Uncle Sam Tours) representative never showed up. My wife and I were at the given meeting point address very early and we never saw anyone there. Seeing and going up the Eiffel Tower is a once in a lifetime experience and unfortunately we never got to go up the tower. On the day (June 26) we were there, the entire operation shut down, maybe because of the heat, and by 1230-1, they weren’t letting anyone go to the tower. I could easily accept the situation if our tour guide would have at least shown up. Sometimes things happen that are being the control of the tour group, but again, no one ever showed up.
I have to say, I used Apple Maps to find the given meeting point (2 Av. Charles Floquet). We found the correct street and the building had numbers 6 and 8 on the side. We were supposed to meet at #2 and the way the numbers ran, the location we were looking for would have been in the park immediately west of the Eiffel Tower. We looked everywhere, including in both sides in front of both entrances, for our representative that was suppressed to be holding a flag, but we never found them. Again, we were there very early and we walked around the entire area, but we never saw our tour guide.
We used Viator for several other tours on our trip, which we are currently still on, and we have been very happy so far. Unfortunately this Eiffel Tower trip was a bust. Very disappointed and I will be contacting Viator in hopes of getting a refund.

Great experience to be able to skip the longer individual lines. Tour is the way to go if you want the climb to the summit. Also lots of interesting information about the Eiffel from the tour guide. Be advised you have to take the stairs for the first 2 levels which is about 700 steps. Then take the lift from the 2nd floor to the summit. On the way down it is lift all the way. Recommend!

They do not have the tickets in advance. I’d have to wait in the line as a “no ticket holder”. You just have the reservation to enter the Eiffel Tower.

The climb to the second floor was great if you’re worried about it don’t people have all ages and abilities for making the Climate it only took about 10 minutes used for wonderful. Andre the Guide was very engaging and informative

It was an extremely hot day for this activity. The hostess was great and view was spectacular. Yes do this activity but of course it’s hard to get photos of the tower if you are in it. So get your photos before the climb.

This is a great way to get top of the tower tickets that are otherwise sold out the day of your visit. It’s also has an option to get the sienne River cruise, which the tickets will be emailed to you separately by the tour operator and are valid for one year so you don’t have to use it the day of your Eiffel Tower tour. This was all great, Now our tour was a little disorganized. To be fair, it started with a thunderstorm, so I think the tour operators were a little frazzled. Our guide annoyed the security guard and then he let other people ahead of us during the pouring rain. She basically had to then beg him to let us through. The rain stopped. We had to go up a lot of flight of stairs, which is typical for the Eiffel Tower although I know there is an accessibility elevator that was never mentioned. It was all fine but once you get to the first floor, your guide gives you a history on the Eiffel Tower. This was interesting… Except it went on for nearly 50 minutes. The second floor and the top of the tower you explore on your own, so that’s all great but before we could do that, our guide was very pushy about leaving her a review on Google and making you scan a QR code. It was all kind of odd. During this the sienne river cruise tickets were sent to my email. We didn’t have time to go that day so we went two days later, which was great. Instructions were easy to follow to find the location for the cruise on your own.

It was very hard to work out that we were meeting a guid it was very stressful she was great but very pushy about wanting a trip advisor review I wasn't feeling well and she made me do a trip advisor review on her i didn't like that

The guide for the tower was great! The company, not so much. Poor communication and snarky when trying to ask a question. We got the cruise addon. I sent an email at 2:51 looking for my tickets so we could do the cruise before our Eiffel excursion. They responded back at 3:09 stating the tickets would be given to me at the tour. We were hoping to make it after the tour but the email we received the link to the boat meeting point wouldn’t work. We emailed them as we didn’t have a phone number to call. It took them an hour to respond back and by then it was too late and the line for the cruise was insane. When I asked for my cruise tickets- they told me “ Regarding the Seine Cruise tickets, we usually send the tickets during the tour. However, if you had requested the tickets at 1:30 PM as you mentioned, we would have definitely sent them to you in advance.” I thought that was what I just did when I sent this- “Where do we go for the river cruise? And is there a certain time? Same ticket?” I received my Eiffel tickets at 1:30 and would have utilized the cruise then. The company is not friendly and if I had really look at other reviewers that had negative things to say I would have seen just what poor customer service they have and would not have selected them. They have “glowing” reviews as they request you give your tour review on front of the guide. Eke was knowledgeable and if they had someone like her behind a computer screen maybe this review would have been better. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- UNCLE SAMS TOURS.

The stairs are ALOT so don’t underestimate them! BUT the pride you feel when you get there is priceless.

We couldn’t find the group at the meeting place and a rep stopped communicating when I asked for help with rebooking or getting a refund. We are in Paris for the first time with our 23 & 21 year old kids. To have missed out on an experience we paid a lot of money for and were so looking forward to is very disappointing.

Here’s a stronger, more damning version of your review while still keeping it credible and factual:
Absolutely appalling service from start to finish. We arrived at the designated meeting point well in advance of the tour time, only to find there was nobody there. After waiting, we went inside to try and locate the group, asking several other tour guides for assistance. None of them had even heard of this tour company, and one guide simply laughed when we mentioned the name.
We immediately attempted to contact the company to explain that we were inside and unable to find the group. Instead of offering any help or trying to locate us, we were bluntly told that the meeting point was outside and that if we were late there was “nothing they could do.” This was despite us being there in plenty of time and actively trying to find the tour.
The customer service was disgraceful—no assistance, no effort to resolve the issue, and no consideration whatsoever for paying customers. We paid over €80 for two tickets and received absolutely nothing in return. To avoid ruining our day, we were forced to buy a second set of tickets at our own expense.
This company took our money and provided no service, no support, and no accountability. I would strongly advise anyone considering booking with them to stay well clear. There are plenty of professional tour operators out there—this is not one of them.
