Reach for the Summit

We had a great experience with our guide Sydney. Entry to the tower was quick, even though we had to go through multiple security checkpoints. Sydney gave us facts about the Eiffel Tower and kept us informed about where and what we were doing next. Kids had a great time reaching the summit and then walking from the 2nd floor down. It was a great experience!

We arrived at 9:00. Our tour guide suggested we go into Notre Dame first. Good idea. We got in before the hordes arrived. Our guide, Jan, provided us with all kinds of interesting tidbits about Notre Dame, its history and its recent restoration. Really enjoyed the tour. I saw Notre Dame in 2004 so was excited to see it restored. I watched in horror in TV when the roof burned. I watched documentaries on its restoration. It was so wonderful to see the fresh refurbishment.

Take me to the River!

Our private boat tour was something we will not forget! What a fun way to see parts of Paris that would otherwise take hours. Our tour guide was so fun, energetic and super knowledgeable. We had champagne and treats and he took care of all photos along the way. He gave us an option to drop off points as well to allow for more city exploration by foot! Oh and…… the final treat was his mother’s hot tea! Simple and perfect. Even my daughter loved it! We will try to recreate it when back home. Something special about small family owned businesses that keep things real and inspiring.

The cheese tasting is...

The cheese tasting is small and you have to purchase your entire lunch, including drinks. That was the only piece I did t quite understand going in. Otherwise it was fabulous and the guides were lovely and knowledgeable. The tour was really beautiful, despite the weather.

Insightful Tour and Friendly Guide

Ana was a wonderful tour guide. She had great energy and kept us engaged even though it was freezing out. She provided a good amount of info about the Tower, answered our questions, and pointed out landmarks, while keeping the mood light and enjoyable. My college-aged kids and I had a great time. She also gave my daughter some quick tips on the area she will be staying for her study abroad program. Ana's tour was a highlight of the day.

Paris - in the rain

On a cold, wet Saturday morning, the prospect of wandering around Paris for a couple of hours didn't seem that appealing, but having booked it, we turned up anyway. Alberto made us feel very welcome, and soon his infectious enthusiasm and in depth knowledge seemed to make the time fly by. It was a great introduction to the major sites of Central Paris, and we hardly noticed the rain. Well worth it.
