Our Louvre tour with Hugo was truly unforgettable.
I have traveled extensively around the world and experienced many museums, guides, and tours, but Hugo stands out as one of the very best. His knowledge of art, history, and symbolism is extraordinary, but what makes him exceptional is the way he brings every masterpiece to life.
He didn’t simply explain the artwork—he told the stories behind it, revealed hidden details we would have never noticed, and helped us understand the deeper meanings and emotions captured by each artist. His passion for art is contagious, and his ability to connect history, culture, and human emotions made every moment engaging.
One of the most memorable parts of the tour was when Hugo used a work of art to reflect on life, love, mortality, and the importance of living in the present. His interpretation was so thoughtful and moving that it nearly brought me to tears. It transformed the experience from a museum visit into something deeply personal and meaningful.

Our small tour of 6 people with Agustine was very informative! We covered as much as we could in the few hours there. What was unexpected was how much I actually learned about art history from Agustine. She is a wonderful teacher (which we don’t often find) as well as guide. She also knew the museum like the back of her hand, skipping the long reroutes, giving us tips on how best to see certain famous art, and taking photos of us. She was also very patient and kind with the children. Great tour!

Our tour with Sergio was excellent. It’s incredible how much knowledge he had about the art that we looked at. He made it come alive for us. He kept us from feeling overwhelmed by all there is at the museum, and focused on pieces of art that he felt were valuable. I appreciated his friendliness, warmth, and knowledge!!

The Louvre is even bigger than one imagines. The crowds, noise and so much to see is overwhelming. Dina. Of Babylon tours efficiently guided us through with information that helped to better appreciate not only the Louvre, but also the art pieces in the Italian & French rooms which on their own is A LOT. Saw so much in 2.5 hrs and you can stay after the tour to browse on your own.

We had such a great time with Anatole! 2.5 hours just flew by. He gave us super interesting history, was funny and answered all of our questions. The group was a perfect size of 6, which made it easier to move around, get to the front of paintings and really spend some time with the art. I would book it again with friends if I find myself back in Paris.

We had deliberately booked the highlights tour as we understood it was very easy to get ‘lost’ in The Louvre.
Our guide (Fabian) was excellent. He was very professional, friendly and most of all knowledgable. He gradually walked us through several of the galleries, explaining how art had developed throughout the ages and pointing out important details in the sculptures, and painting, talking through their history etc, that had we been alone we would have missed.

With the history at the Louvre, you need to book a tour with guide to get the most out of your experience. Our guide, who was SPECTACULAR, brought us around the Louvre in a way that told the story leading to the famous Mona Lisa. Everything made sense all of a sudden. So by the time you get to the Mona Lisa and other paintings/sculptures, it makes sense to someone who does not have a lot of background on the art. Other benefits: prime restrooms, secure locker, you don’t waste time by getting lost.

We had a wonderful private guided tour of the Louvre, our guide Miriam was excellent! She paced the tour perfectly, we never felt rushed and saw all the highlights as well as parts of the museum we requested to see! My husband and I took the Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour (6 Guests Max, Entry Included) and it was an excellent experience. The Louvre is absolutely massive and there is no way we could have covered as much ground on our own in just two hours. Our guide, Miriam, was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a fantastic job managing our limited time while ensuring we saw many of the museum’s highlights. She kept the tour engaging and informative, sharing fascinating history and insights throughout. The small group size made the experience even better. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

I am not a huge art museum fanatic and typically have very little patience when it comes to crowds and learning about pieces of art.
Take this tour in the afternoon (still crowded but less than on AM). Nancy B was our guide and she made this one of our favorites. Her knowledge of the artwork is incredible and she knew which highlights to focus on for our short 2.5 hour tour. I highly recommend.
