The tour guide makes a huge difference. We got a boring one! No energy. No excitement. He should have a script if he can’t think of something better to say than the palace is big. Really? I don’t think you can choose your guide though. Sorry Dario. You are very nice but you need to find a new career.

I truly enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The van was nice and clean, the drive was beautiful. The guide took his time to explain everything in an easy to understand manner and at a good pace. I did not feel rushed. I was actually able to pay attention because the history of Versailles is truly remarkable.

This is a good introduction to Versailles. It is not very long. We drove to Versailles on minibus, with our guide, only 8 passengers. It took about 30/40 mins to get to parking area, not too far from entrance. After priority group entry and security check, about 1 hour from departure. We spent about 1 hour inside with our guide who was informative. The headset was useful. Palace is beautiful. Afterwards about 1 hour in garden, own time.

We were with a small group of only 8 which was nice. Michelle was our very knowledgeable guide. She was a fount of information, has been doing this for 30 years. Would recommend her highly. Versailles was amazing. It is huge and of course you only see a small portion. The gardens were impressive and would have loved to have been there for the light show.

This was a wonderful way to visit Versailles and so glad we booked this tour - well worth it.
The tour van was very comfortable and the group size was perfect with about 15 people. Everyone was very nice and pleasant.
Our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, able to answer any questions, had a nice sense of humor and shared interesting anecdotes about the palace, people and art. He was also very patient and kind with an elderly family member, while still keeping the group moving.
We had a rainy cold day, so we didn't explore the gardens too long, but after the chateau tour, you are free to explore on your own for about an hour.
On the way out of the chateau, throngs of people were lined up - we couldn't believe the lines. We felt so fortunate that we were able to arrive at the palace, walk right in and pretty much have the whole place to ourselves. Our tickets to the gardens were also included, so we walked right into the gardens while lines were starting to form.
On the way back to Paris, someone on our tour asked about the tunnel where Princess Diana died as they wanted to pay homage, and our tour guide was kind enough to point out and provide walking directions once we arrived back in Paris.
Loved this tour and it made our experience all the richer.

Our tour Guide, Isabelle, was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and answered any questions we may have had. She was also easy to understand. The drive out to Versailles took about half an hour and she was also a very safe driver.

The tour with this company was very well done. Efficient and comfortable transportation to and back from Versailles. Honore, our guide, was very knowledgeable and quite funny. The only disappointment was the Palace and grounds in August. My wife, who toured Versailles in April 37 years before, agreed with me that the grounds were not kept as well as then and the estate buildings were going under some renovations but needed some more. It seems best to go on this tour during the spring or fall instead of summer or winter.

The bus was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning and a great driver! The guide (Isabelle I think) was very knowledgeable and interesting, and kept us all on track. We needed to be efficient with our time and just do a half day tour, and this was perfect.

Very easy way to see Versailles. Driver dropped us near the main gate. We had timed entry, so didn’t have to deal with long lines. Guide was very knowledgable. Only negative (other than the temperature…it was hot) is that the guide said she would be waiting at 4:20 for a 4:30 departure in the open area just to the left as we exited. We arrived there at 4:10 and she was not there. We finally saw two others in our group, who spotted her about 4:30 next to the bus. I was very concerned about being left behind! Otherwise would have given 5 stars.

We did a tour of the property and it was more than amazing. The property itself is so beautiful and filled with so much history. Our tour guide was wonderful and so full of knowledge. We enjoyed a walk in the gardens and had a glass of wine in the heart of it. I couldn't get over how beautiful the rooms were. The ceilings were just as amazing.

The tour operator was nice and knowledgeable. We booked this tour last minute since we had missed the other tour we booked due to being dropped off in wrong location, we do not speak French. We called Viator to make them aware of the mistake and that we were on our way to meeting point. A kind stranger by the name of Marie stayed on the phone with Viator customer service and was texting us with updates trying to help us as we made our way to the correct meeting point. Tour operator did not wait for us. We missed our day long tour to Normandy. My husband is retired Army and my mother’s father was in WWII. We were very sad they left without us. Never did I dream Viator would not refund us for the missed tour when I booked this one to lighten our spirits and give us something to do for the day. I would not recommend Viator for making your tour arrangements, they are not an ethical company to work should anything go wrong.
