We had an exceptional...
We had an exceptional experience touring the Louvre as a family of five, including our baby, and it was entirely thanks to our wonderful guide. From the very beginning, Saeed was thoughtful, organized, and incredibly accommodating of our family’s needs. Navigating the Louvre can feel overwhelming, but Saeed made it seamless and enjoyable. They curated a perfect route that kept all of us engaged—balancing the must-see masterpieces with interesting lesser-known works—while also pacing the tour in a way that was comfortable with a baby in tow. What truly stood out was their ability to bring the art to life. Their storytelling was engaging and accessible for both adults and children, making the experience educational without ever feeling heavy or rushed. They also shared fascinating insights and historical context that we would have completely missed on our own. This was not just a tour—it was a memorable, enriching experience for our whole family. We would highly recommend this guide to anyone visiting the Louvre, especially families traveling with young children.

Great time with Ellen and Ernest!
A wonderful tour! Ellen is so very knowledgeable on not onlyHemingway, but also the entirety of the Lost Generation and Paris in general. Set up in presentation style, with a walking tour to accompany, you really are able to picture Hemingways life, as well as the vibrancy and pace of the quarter in the time. I’m an avid Hemingway fan and reader and was enthralled from start to finish, my wife has a passive interest but Ellen made it so interesting even she was absorbed by the story and the sites. Ellen is a wonderful guide, and her more than thirty years in Paris really shine on a walking tour. She is knowledgeable on just about everything of note, moves through Paris with ease that helps a new traveler to Paris adjust, and is friendly and pleasant to spend a day with. I recommend this tour thoroughly!

Hugh - you won’t find better
Visiting Père Lachaise Cemetery was unforgettable, made extraordinary by Hugh, our tour guide. His depth of knowledge was unmatched—he truly lives and breathes history. No other guide could compete with the insight, stories, and context he shared. Hugh was kind, courteous, and incredibly generous with his time, answering every question with passion and care. The experience felt personal, enriching, and deeply memorable thanks to him.

If you’re into La Génération Perdue in Paris, you’ll enjoy this tour
Re the Losr Generation tour: Enjoyed the tour very much. Ellen is quite knowledgeable of the subject and provided a lot of context and background to fit the various writers and their places in the Parisian literary world at the time. Plenty of time was provided to help soak things in. We even ended with Cocktail Time at Le Select!

From Gertrude Stein and Victor Hugo to Simone de Beauvoir and F. Scott Fitzgerald, Paris has inspired some of the world’s greatest writers. Designed with bookworms in mind, Paris literary tours showcase the city’s creative heritage, whether you’re following in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway or visiting Oscar Wilde’s grave in Père Lachaise Cemetery. Other experiences focus on the impact of the Beat Generation or the presence of writers on Paris’ Left Bank (Rive Gauche). You’re sure to leave with plenty of bookshop recommendations, too.
