This was so much fun and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Osaka! Aiko, Grace, and Seina were so welcoming and friendly and made sure we had a great time throughout the experience. We learned about the history of mochi and the process of making it from scratch from rice, and got to eat our freshly made mochi with a variety of toppings provided at the end! This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Runa, Mao, and Seina were full of energy and so wonderful to learn from! Within the span of an hour, we got a small lesson on the history of mochi, the making process with an incredibly fun hands-on experience, and tasting at the end with a choose your own flavor. I've never had fresh mochi before, and now I don't know if I can go back to the modern store-bought version. I've always wanted to learn how to make my own mochi and now I feel prepared to do it at home.

This is a great, fun, and authentic Japanese experience that you should definitely do while you're in Osaka. The staff was lovely, and it's a quick experience that you can easily squeeze in to the afternoon. Turns out, pounding mochi is a lot of fun. And you get to eat it after!

Mao and Grace were very helpful and informative with the history of mochi. They made sure everyone took part in pounding and very welcoming to take pictures and videos. I have twin girls and there was a small mallot that they were able to use to pound the mochi.

We had a wonderful experience! Not only did we get to pound mochi, but also learned about its history and got to taste the seeds of our own work. They explained how to enjoy mochi and we got to try it with more than 8 different flavours. Highly recommend. The staff are super friendly and quite smooth with explanations in English.

Engaging and enjoyable! Riki and his partner did an excellent job walking everyone through processes for making Mochi!
The flavors were great though I still prefer the sweet mochi I've become accustomed to in desserts! Fortunately there was plenty of everything!

Our hosts made it fun and were so kind and knowledgeable. Experiencing mochi making from start to finish was really great! The mochi was so filling as well.

My friend and I had appeared at the location a few minutes late, but we were kindly greeted and put on a mochi-making costume before beginning. We got to learn the history of mochi and took turns hammering the rice. The hosts then portioned the freshly pounded mochi to everyone in the room and we got to shaping them in the palms of our hands. Lastly, we got to taste the mochi we made alongside some dipping sauces and condiments which each enhanced the flavor in their own unique ways. We took plenty of photos and videos too with the help of a staff member.

so much fun!! super interactive and informative! you get to make mochi and then try it with several different flavors, would highly recommend! only suggestion is to wear something lightweight because the room gets warm if it’s hot out.

I had the best experience ever! Definitely worth it. Learned the history of Mochi and physically making it instead of only watching someone is the best part! You eat it right after with several toppings/options, it’s fresh and clean ingredients, beyond delicious foreigner/English friendly! Thank youuuu so kind!!!
