We had such a nice afternoon! Keiko and her mom were so sweet and welcoming. They showed us how to make Okonomiyaki and Miso soup and answered all our questions. They were also interested in our culture and what local ingredients we will use for our Okonomiyaki at home. The food was delicious and we felt very "at home" thanks to them. Keikos mom even gave us handmade gifts. If you like Okonomiyaki and Miso soup, we definitely recommend taking lessons from Keiko. :)

Such a Great experience, Keiko, her assistant and mother where a pleasure to learn from. They spoke great English so understanding eachother was a plus! Keiko reached out to us prior and asked about food restrictions or dietary restrictions. She was able to accommodate my vegan diet which I was super happy because one of the main ingredients in Okonomiyaki is eggs. The replacement was a particular Japanese potato that worked great as a binder. Her mother gifted us with a little handmade purse made out of kimonos. A very heartfelt moment learning about how food brings people together. We both enjoyed this class and will be practicing what we learned at home. Okonomiyaki is very tasty and versatile. It can be made exactly to your personal liking! I highly recommend giving this class a try!

Keiko was an amazing host and it was great to experience with other Osaka locals and international travelers. My daughter and I had a great time and they even accommodated our vegetarian diet. I loved learning more about okonomoyaki and getting to make such a delicious meal. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Osaka.

Keiko delightfully combines the opportunity to learn to cook okonomoyaki with the opportunity to work and chat together with locals. And the results of the afternoon are absolutely delicious!

They are so kind and the okonomiyaki is very good! I enjoyed learning about the history and how to adapt it to make at home, and had very good conversation. Definitely recommend!

An essential family experience to learn about the culture of local Osaka people. Keiko-san was a wonderfully patient host, who guided us through the process of making Osaka-style okonomiyaki. I will definitely be trying to make it at home. She was very flexible with dietary requirements. Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the experience was meeting some other local Osaka people who were wanting to practice their English, while we fumbled in Japanese. I highly recommend this experience for any food lovers.

It's not just cooking but fun talking to Keiko, and interacting with Sachiko. I love the fact that it's a language centre as well - great opportunities to learn from locals and share overseas experiences. Relaxed atmosphere and we really enjoyed cooking class! If you love these Kimono aprons don't forget to ask & buy one - they focus on the class and communication, but there are souvenirs you can purchase here!

One of the coolest things you can do in a new country is learn how to cook their well-known dishes. This was such a cool experience as I learned the history of okonomiyaki and the cool variations that different cities have for this fun dish.

A delightful, friendly, well organised cultural experience - a highlight of our trip to Osaka. Keiko and her mother were very welcoming, cooking was fun and the food was delicious. Loved the aprons made from kimono material. Highly recommend.

Keiko was amazing she spoke English very well and even had a book on okinomoyaki.
We learned about the history of okinomoyaki and our family of 4 (including an 8 and 11 year old) all made the dish. It was a blast and it was delicious! Keiko was so patient and the experience was fantastic.

Great informative class, really fun and social so great to do on your own as well as with others. Really lovely that you all sit down together to eat afterwards and some lovely extras that weren't expected.

Great class. Keiko explained about the different types and ingredients and then we jumped in. She and her assistant helped us through the cooking process. Also had miso soup and mochi dessert. Friendly, social, and tasty. Mom sewed the aprons and cute souvenir bags!

Great way to enjoy Osaka’s famous savory pancakes! Small class size, personal attention, plenty of equipment and ingredients for hands on experience. Recipe was easy to follow. Our instructor Keiko was very friendly and fun. Her mom sewed the aprons we all wore and gave everyone a small bag made from used kimonos. What a nice treat. This was a great way to meet some local people and enjoy a casual low key night out. Would highly recommend.

Was a lovely experience! Keiko did a great job of showing the history of okonomiyaki, and her assistants were also very fun to talk to. I was the only student for that day, so it was nice to chat with the ladies. Keiko even gave me a free gift, which was a small tote bag that her mother made! Highly recommend, especially if you are interested in learning more about Osaka-style okonomiyaki.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Keiko. We learned how to cook Okonomiyaki Osaka style and learned the differences from Hiroshima style. Through the cooking process we learned it's importance in everyday Japanese family life, in ways that might surprise you. Keiko was prepared, clear and organized in her teaching. She presented many options for making the dish to suit anyone's eating requirements, including vegans. You participate in the process and make your own food, all included.
It is a very relaxed class and you can ask all your questions. She is assisted by her mother, which tops off the very warm experience that takes place in a hotel's breakfast room. We then sat and are our creations and chatted about Japanese life. After thr experience Keiko sent us written information on how to make Okonomiyaki which allowed us to be engaged during the experience without taking notes. Highly recommend this experience.

We had a great time learning about, and cooking okonomiyaki. Our host was excellent. She spoke English very well and explained the history, and regional differences of this super tasty dish. You’ll get to meet people from around the world and cook together, then eat together. Also, if you want a safe place to practice your Japanese - this is it.

This was a fun experience for my partner and I to meet a few locals who wanted to share their experience and knowledge with making okonomiyaki.
I enjoyed the class alot. Instructions were easy to follow. I can easily bring this lesson back home and cook for myself and others during parties.

Late on our tour to Japan, we booked this class with Keiko....what a joyful experience it was. One Kiwi, one Aussie, one Englishman, a family of 3 from Singapore and a Japanese lady from Himeji. Along with Keiko and her team, not only did we learn to cook the wonderful Okonomiyaki but we also explored different ideas for what to include in future based on what is popular in each of the countries.

Keiko is the welcoming, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about making awesome okonomiyaki! I enjoyed the experience immensely - easily one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Osaka, and a dish I hope to make in my home country. Keiko's generous and friendly spirit made the entire class feel at ease - as a result, everyone had a great time as we enjoyed our okonomiyaki together. Do not hesitate to sign up! I would do this class again in a heartbeat :)
