Paul was excellent as our driver/ guide. Our trip included 4 women, my wife and me. Loved the 5 women ans me during the trip. Great wineries, stories and views. Though I had to open/close the doors fir them, we had a wonderful time.

Paul our driver was great! He took us to 4 different wineries. Each was different in its own way. We had lunch at the second winery and all ate lunch together while our host explained the proper way to drink/smell/taste a glass of wine. It was so much fun! We had a great trolly ride and would definitely do it again!

Overview

Make exploring Wine Country easy on this tour aboard the Napa Valley Wine Trolley. The open-air cable car is a replica of the historic trolleys seen in San Francisco and offers views of the vineyards as you travel to three or four wineries to sample the local wines (tastings at your own expense). A guide provides commentary about Napa’s rich history. Lunch at one of the wineries is also included for extra convenience.

Our San Francisco Cable Car Trolley will arrive around 10:00 AM across the street from the Oxbow Public Market at 610 1st St, Napa in the south parking lot. Pick up is at 10:00 am and the Trolley will depart at 10:00 sharp. Parking is available in the south lot.

Itinerary

Your Wine Country experience will begin with pickup at Oxbow Market in Napa. Hop aboard the open-air Napa Valley Wine Trolley and soak up the views as you take off. A local guide will join you on board to pass along stories about the region’s wine culture and history.

You’ll make stops at three or four family-run wineries or tastings rooms. Learn about the local cellars, their notable varietals and what makes this region one of the best in the world. (Please note that wine-tasting fees are not included with your ticket.)

En route, stop for lunch at one of the wineries.

At the end of the tour, your trolley will return you to Oxbow Market. There are several wonderful dining options in the area if you’d like to continue exploring around Napa.

It was a great way to experience Napa! We visited 4 wineries, had lunch in 1, and didn’t have to worry about driving. It was great. I wish the wineries would would serve at least a cracker or some peanuts, but that’s not the trolley’s fault.

We had a great time, the wineries were beautiful and the ride on the trolley was comfortable. The weather was absolutely perfect, it’s a little windy if you choose to ride in the open air part of the trolley but for us that was part of the fun experience.

Tasting fees are not included but are fair and completely worth the price! Monticello and Backstage alone would be worth the trip but you get to visit two other lovely wineries!

Terrible Option to See Napa Wineries

The tour guide was good. Not worth the price of admission. Basically you pay $125 for a Sandwhich and water. Then you pay approximately $100 per couple per winery x 3-4 stops. Obvious kickbacks happening at these lower end wineries. It comes out to apply $650 per couple, there were 3 couples in our group, that’s approximately $1800 spent amongst 3 couples. Find a private driver but definitely DO NOT book this tour.

We loved the tour! We stopped at 4 places, each with a different vibe: Rutherford Ranch, Bottega for lunch, Peju, and Jean Edwards Cellars. Each place had different rates for the tastings. Due to weather, we weren't in a trolley but the sprinter van was wonderful. Thank you, Paul, for being a great guide.

It was nice because it was a small group. We didnt have the experience with the trolley but a van ,however it was still fun.judt people need to read about it first because the wine tasting is not included only lunch which was so good.

Tons of fun and great way to see multiple wineries. I was a little disappointed that the trolley was in the shop because I was looking forward to the experience. But, with that being said, the driver was great & the bus was a nice way to get around. I will book this again when we return to Napa.

The 3 wineries were...

The 3 wineries were great. We visited Peju where Scott was informative and entertaining. The wines were perfect and the venue was beautiful. Then we visited Rutherford Ranch. Doug took us into the vineyard and taught us about their winery and wines. Finally, we tasted wine at Jean Edwards. We ate a great lunch at Bottega in Yountsville. Yountsville is a quaint town. We did not go on the Trolley due to mechanical problems. Our mimi wine bus was comfortable and our driver, Richard was knowledgeable. Our tour was held up by 20 minutes waiting for people who were late. I am not sure of the protocol, but people need to be on time. Be aware that this tour does not cover tasting fees. I would do this again.
