Katie was our tour guide and she was truly amazing! So informative and engaging, friendly and fun. The tour itself was very accessible, interesting and of course stunning! You get to see so much on this hike. Highly recommended for learning more about the history of Hollywood, being out in nature and seeing some outstanding views! This tour honestly exceeded all expectations - a must do when visiting LA.

There is NO parking available Fridays–Sundays & holidays. Free street parking nearby Mon–Thurs (non-holidays).
The 2.5-hour hike covers 4 miles (6.4 km) on an easy-to-moderate trail.
The 90-minute express covers 1.8 miles (2.9 km) — easy difficulty.

Wear closed-toe shoes. Layers recommended — temperatures vary with elevation.
NOTE: Meet your guide OUTSIDE by the long white gate where the trailhead begins; they wear a neon yellow Bikes & Hikes vest. Do not bother the people at the houses in this neighborhood.
Recommended for ages 6 and up. Children must be able to hike independently. No strollers on the 2.5-hour route. For children under 6, the 90-minute option is strongly recommended.
No heart conditions or serious medical conditions. Guests should be in good general health.
Service animals welcome.
Not wheelchair accessible.

Hiking to the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles was such an amazing experience! The views were absolutely beautiful and the trail itself was a great adventure. What really made the hike special though were our guides, Noelle and Sarah. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun from start to finish. They shared interesting facts about the Hollywood Sign and the surrounding area, kept the us motivated, and made sure we felt comfortable along the way. Their energy and positivity made the hike even more enjoyable. Reaching the top and seeing the Hollywood Sign up close while overlooking Los Angeles was unforgettable. I’m so grateful for such a well-organized tour and such wonderful guides. If you’re thinking about doing this hike, I highly recommend it, especially with guides like Noelle and Sarah!

Incredible experience

Can’t recommend this enough. I was quite anxious before that it would be a challenging hike, but it’s actually a beautiful walk with so much to see. Our guide Andy was superb. I really recommend this. Last year we did a bus tour but was so far away from the sign. This time we stood just above it.

Hollywood Sign: off the bucket list

I've always wanted to get as close to the Hollywood sign as I could, and now I can check it off my bucket list. I know I could have hiked it on my own but hooking up with Bikes and Hikes private tour guide, Chris, was the way to go. The logistic information was a invaluable since you can't park close to the trail head. Chris was prepared with extra water, bandages and TP. We enjoyed his knowledge of the area and hiking, which included a great sense of humor. It was great having Chris all to ourselves so all he answered all of our questions. I plan on doung more private tours in the future.

This experience was fun. There is a 90 min hike. There is also a 3 hr hike. There is no bathroom. Take a lot of water.

It was a hot day despite the 9am start so be prepared with your water . Part of the climb is tough going for people who have less than average fitness .

Nice tour, we received a lot of interesting information about history of Hollywood and surrounding areas. Michael had a good sense of humor and also helped our little group carrying water and other useful supplies. Highly recommend.

No one was to be found at the meeting point, even though we were there 45min prior. We asked our uber driver, to make sure it was the right address as it was on the booking and he assured it was where we were supposed to go. We even asked locals.

We only ask because you say you arrived 45 minutes early which would put you at the meeting point QUITE early, 15-30 minutes before your guide would have even been on site. Please let us know so we know how to make this right with you and how to address this with future guests moving forward.

On the 29th of March I did the Hollywood Sign Hike to the front and back. Jon was my tour guide. He was leading and it was me and 9 others. Jon was a spectacular tour guide. 10 out of 10 for sure. He was a cool and fun person to be around. He gave us plenty of knowledge plus at times there was good general chit chat. He was very pleasant in all aspects. We did the Original 2.5 Hour Hollywood Sign Hike with Chris and it was fantastic! Our group was comprised of three smaller groups (an adult group of three from Japan, a family of four and our family of five). Chris did a fantastic job of catering his stories, the pace and our breaks to our group, our physicality and our interests. He was very entertaining, without being corny, and had a wealth of information about L.A and L.A history. It was an unseasonably hot day and he made sure we were all well-hydrated and took frequent breaks in the shade. He was also the best photographer and made sure everyone had pictures they were happy with. I would highly recommend the hike with him and we are so glad we did it!

This hike is definitely a challenge- especially if you come during warm months! The tickets didn’t say viator and hosts didn’t know which group we were in at first. Great views and photo ops, just a little unorganized.

Walmart doesn't make the candle, they just stock it in their store).
