Explore the vibrant food scene of Downtown Los Angeles, and enjoy samples from a variety of eateries, on this walking food tour with a small group of just eight travelers and a professional guide. Your tastings and water are all included for a hassle-free experience.
Meet your guide at a central location downtown for the 3-hour tour. The first stop will be at Grand Central Market, home to a variety of vendors. Afterwards, walk past the Bradbury Building and the Last Bookstore to Donut Friend DTLA to sample made-to-order donuts. Then you’ll try artisanal cheeses at DTLA Cheese Superette, followed by Pitchoun! For French pastries. The last stop will be at Guisados for tacos on handmade tortillas.
Along the way, hear stories about culture, history, and food scene of downtown.

An amazing and informative tour with a charming, knowledgeable guide and delicious food. A fantastic way to discover Downtown LA. Chris S provided an entertaining and expansive commentary on the venues and food as well as interesting anecdotes and stories about the history, architecture, people and even the flora of the area, including some intriguing facts and juicy gossip. The tour included a good range of very tasty food from various cuisines. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves eating!

Chris was an outstanding guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the history and content engaging and interesting throughout the tour. The food stops were excellent, and I especially appreciated that he gave us options to choose from at several locations, allowing everyone to find something they enjoyed. Scarlett’s food choices were widespread and interesting. We were not rushed & all of the food was delicious. She also knew a lot about the architecture and the history of Los Angeles.

The tour is a combination overview of history of downtown LA (DTLA), viewing of key historical buildings and food tasting. Most of the food stops were outdoor seating, which is probably fine most days, but our tour was on a chilly day and thus was colder eating than we'd prefer. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable, although he talked and walked quickly - it was a little hard to enjoy the sights or take pictures given the speed we were walking. The food is generally a variety of local "finger foods". My biggest negative was that all the food was served family style on napkins, which was very messy. I'm not a fan of passing/sharing finger food with non-family members. And it would have been nice to be able to choose our own flavors and be able to consider dietary aspects for each person (e.g. the pastries had almonds, and one of our family members doesn't eat nuts), although I realize that can be challenging in a group food tour. So overall it was interesting, but I would not do it again.

We had an incredible time on our Los Angeles Walking Food Tour with Chris S! He is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, sharing fascinating stories about the city's history that we never would have discovered on our own. It was my birthday and I’m a local so I thought it would be fun! It was such a great experience! Scarlett was awesome! Her passion & love for her city was infectious. The food was incredible, plentiful (so full we had to take our last stop to go) but the cherry on top was the stories she told about the history & architecture.

Really loved this food tour. We had some great food, the host was outstanding, and the couples on the tour with us was great. I would do this tour again!
Highly recommend the food tour! All the food options were filling and delicious, the historical buildings, some of which we walked through, were stunning in their architecture, and our tour guide, Scarlett, shared great history and information. Been on food tours, over 25, in cities all over the world, and this was one of the best!
