We did the cookout ride. The ride was scenic, beautiful, & fit most riders. After the delicious dinner, my mother-in- law was offered a ride back in the wagon. Staff were very patient, kind and made it fun for everyone. Afterwards, watching them corral 125 horses and let them trot to the river for the night was amazing!

Wonderful experience, the ride was so beautiful, our guide awesome and the horses are well trained . The ride is easy. The cookout after was fantastic, great steak and the homemade apple pie was perfect ending .
Horseback riding was fun.

A cold steak with cold Mac and cheese and cold beans wasn’t worth it
The 90 minute horse ride was fantastic. It featured stunning vistas. The group was divided into 2 smaller groups which made for a more engaging experience. Rebecca (18 yo) was amazing and truly loved her job.
Get there 30 minutes early to register and pay the gratuity and also get the safety information. Our guide Ross was excellent as was the young lady from TN that help us get setup. Great and friendly staff. We had an amazing ride through trails with panoramic scenic views that were breathtaking. Food was excellent. Only hiccup was 2 of our party had wanted chicken and only meat was steaks. Aides and dessert were excellent. We even had a finale show as the cowboys ran all of the horses down to the pasture for the evening blow where we had our meal.
Amazing trail ride with beautiful Grand Teton views! Our lead guide, Jeremiah, was fantastic and did a great job engaging everyone and sharing interesting information about the area. Austin was also a wonderful guide. The whole experience was memorable and we highly recommend Heart 6 Ranch!
Such an incredible way to spend the evening! Our guide Kayley took us on a beautiful trail that opened to stunning views of the valley. The horses were all so sweet and the absolute best part was seeing what felt like 100 of them released into the ranch to roam freely after our rides. Dinner was very good too! My family made memories for a lifetime and would definitely do it again.
This is a perfect activity if you have never
rode a horse and just want to try. The ride was the right amount of time for beginners. The guide was kind, friendly and helped to calm and encourage one of our riders who was terrified due to past experiences that by the end she was glad she went through with it. The view from the top was just beautiful. Guides are encouraging and the front office was great to speak with. The cook did an awesome job with our meal. Thank you Heart 6 for an awesome time.
The trail ride was a great experience with plenty of wonderful views and well trained horses. However we had many issues with our experience. For one, we walked into the cafe and had a very awkward encounter. The server did not greet us as we came in, we waited several minutes for any acknowledgment and then we had to ask for a menu since we weren’t receiving any service, she refused to make eye contact with us, even while speaking with us. It’s also advertised as an ice cream shop, but it’s not shown on the menu and when you ask for the options, they only had vanilla and chocolate. It was just an uncomfortable encounter that resulted in us walking out and leaving. Then when we went to fill out waivers for the horseback ride, they took my card information for a “20% automatic gratuity”. I already paid over $300 for a trail ride and dinner, and you’re going to automatically take an additional charge for something that I already paid in full for? How about you pay your employees better if you automatically take “gratuity”. In all honesty, I probably would’ve tipped more if I was the one who decided, but once they forced me to tip 20%, i decided they weren’t going to get another dime from me. They claim it was because it was a large group. Online it’s advertised as a small group and it was just the 2 of us on our own reservation. It’s not my fault your business overbooked or just lies online, but I’m not going to be forced into an additional fee that’s not advertised because of a “large group” of strangers who I don’t know. Originally the staff said there was only 9 reservations booked ahead of time as of that morning, but by the time of the trail ride there was 30. Also, a group was late, which then delayed our ride and also forced us to be late. If you do the simple math, across all of their forms of income, they make plenty of money on a daily basis to pay employees and upkeep of the ranch. Treat your staff better and don’t be greedy, I’ll tip however I decide AFTER I see the quality of the service provided. I want to emphasize, the ranch hands are all great and do their job exceptionally well, the trail ride is beautiful and stunning, horses have the most wonderful personalities, the food was delicious, but the way the business side of things are ran needs improvement. Even with these qualities, I would not recommend, nor come back. There is plenty of other options in the area that I would check out.
The wranglers were great. They were good to pair you with a horse that suited your level of experience. The scenery was beautiful. The horses were well-behaved. The cookout after was good. Plenty of food!
This is truly the best experience for first time horseback riders! The horses are well trained which made a fabulous experience riding in the mountains. Our trail guide, Lars, was so knowable and personal.
The views of the Grand Tetons were absolutely beautiful and were the highlight of the experience. The scenery alone made for some great photos and memorable moments.
Unfortunately, the horseback ride itself was underwhelming. The horses appeared to be on "autopilot," simply following the trail with very little interaction or engagement. The ride consisted largely of walking through sage fields for approximately 1½ hours, which was not what we expected based on the description.
The cookout afterward was even more disappointing. When we arrived, there were no staff members present to greet guests or provide instructions. There were no plates available, and my girlfriend ultimately had to walk over to the corral area to find someone who could assist. Once the meal was served, the steaks were cold and the overall food quality was poor.
While the views of the Tetons were spectacular, the ride and cookout experience did not provide the value or quality we expected.
This was an amazing experience. The actual horse ride was really fun with absolutely breathtaking views. Our guide, Chelsey, was incredible!! She was so warm and friendly and knowledgeable! The dinner afterwards was delicious and fun! Then we got to see “The Push”, where they pushed the horses out to pasture. I took my 12-year-old granddaughter with me and she was enthralled with it all. She said, “I loved every minute of it!” I would highly recommend this experience!!

A little pricey but overall enjoyed it
This was such a wonderful evening! It's hard to top the stunning scenery and wildlife in Grand Teton National Park, but this experience stands out for us. The staff is warm and friendly, the horses are so patient and sweet, the landscape was just jaw-dropping, and our guide for the horse ride, Nick, is an exceptional young man. I didn't expect much of the dinner, but that was really, really good too! I highly recommend this activity -- stay for the evening and watch the horses run out to the pasture after dinner.
Far exceeded our expectations!! Looved the long ride, the many scenic views! Our wranglers were wonderful! We did work up an apetite so the steaks after were perfect!! We got to see the horses herded to the field, that was a wonderful treat!! Fully recommend it!
Fun experience with family! It was a bit of a slower ride so if we did it again we would maybe do a private ride. If was a very large group and we would have preferred a more intimate experience. The staff was great and really nice. The cowboy dinner was ok but they did run out of food and the portions were small. They kept telling us there was dessert on the way but by the time they got there way after dinner a big rainstorm came through. Not sure if dessert was included and the rain could have thrown it off but wanted to note that.
Beautiful ranch. Nice staff. However my horse was not acting normal so I had to end the experience earlier than expected. Very large groups. Would be better if they did the groups smaller and/or had more wranglers per group.
Couldn't pick a more beautiful area. I'll start off with it rained a lot before the ride/meal. There should have been 2 wranglers...there were problems on our ride that made us sit around for long stretches of time. We just sat probably 20% of time. No fault of wranglers, but a 2nd one sure would have helped the situation. Because we were sitting, the horses were bored...they were hungry and tried eating through their masks. Then their was the mud! Seems we should have maybe gone on a trail not ridden on earlier in the pouring rain. Horses were slipping and trying to avoid some areas (yep, let's barrel thru this brush!). Again...I think having 2 wranglers to see what it was like at the back. And, we couldn't hear the wranglers towards the back, and she couldn't hear us...again, another wranglers for safety. Overall, fun though.
The meal....not at all what it was advertised as. There was food cooked while we ride and then severed to us in a fining room. I assume because of weather, but no real explanation.
Lastly..I think the mandatory 20% tip is criminal!! That's just so owners don't have to say what they are really charging! It's not a tip as ment to be. Sad.
Like I said...overall we had a good time, but I do think improvements could be made.
We were caught in a hail/rain storm on the way back we should have been provided rain gear prior to the trip. Rain gear should be stowed in each saddle bag.

Very well organized, and a very scenic ride. They kept their horses to a very slow wall, they would’ve liked a little bit faster trot but otherwise it is very fun experience.

When we arrived it was total chaos. They had so many people signed up they divided us into 4 groups. I asked for a small group and was put in group 4. It took an hour for the first two groups to leave.
We were then informed the last two groups were being merged into one huge group because a horse wrangler didn’t show up. Think big slow moving bus tour group. Everything that frustrates you about those is what was frustrating here. We moved very slowly. We stopped often due to someone needing something.
The pics and previous reviews had us starry eyed for a fun horseback ride with 6 other people. Instead we got a stop and go walk with 16 people.
As mentioned in other reviews, they make you pay gratuities in advance. I knew it was coming and didn’t care at the time but after the haphazard experience I wouldn’t have tipped.
We might have got them on a bad day but it didn’t live up to any expectation I had.
Beautiful trail, food was really good, horses had alot of personality, and the wranglers were great with our kids.
Everyone at the ranch was friendly and helpful, and our guide Sofie was truly exceptional. We were a group of ten—including four kids—and honestly weren’t sure how well a trail ride would go with that many people and varying levels of experience. But wow, did it exceed our expectations. Riding through the Tetons with those views was unforgettable, and Sofie’s calm, upbeat leadership made all the difference. She had our city kids feeling like real cowboys by the end—they didn’t want it to be over!
The dinner was also very good. Most of us had the steak, which was cooked well, and a few of the kids opted for the chicken. The only issue—and unfortunately, it left a sour note on an otherwise amazing evening—was the dessert. Our group was last to go through the cookout line, and by the time we got there, there were only three servings of cobbler left for ten people, including four young kids. When I mentioned it to the staff, they basically shrugged and said someone probably went back for seconds.
That was it—no apology, no offer to make it right, not even a basic acknowledgment that it was a problem. It wasn’t about the cobbler itself, but about the lack of accountability. When you're paying close to $2,000 for a premium trail ride and dinner experience that includes dessert, it shouldn’t fall on guests to explain to disappointed kids why they don’t get one.
This could’ve been handled so easily—some concern, a gesture, anything. Instead, it felt like we were just out of luck. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the ride itself, especially with Sofie—but I do hope the ranch takes a closer look at how they handle the small details that leave a lasting impression.
What an awesome experience! We enjoyed the horse ride and a great steak dinner overlooking the Snake River. We will do it again!

Overall, a very good trail ride! The scenery is gorgeous, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the food is pretty decent - well seasoned and prepared. The cut of steak could be a bit better but it is flavorful.
It’s a beautiful ride around the Snake River and Buffalo Valley with profusely blooming wildflowers in early June. We had perfect, cool weather.
We had well behaved horses overall, some a little more spunky than others but the staff helped with managing them. One mishap occurred when one of our member’s saddle rolled and the guides were able to assist with getting him back on his feet. Fortunately, only a scrape.
It is definitely worth the few hours and the ride!
As someone mentioned, the company does require a gratuity when you arrive, not included in the advertised price.
Our dinner ride was great. It ended up being just the two of us and our wrangler. We had a complete two hour ride and then a wonderful steak dinner with ver generous and delicious sides. We had apple pie to complete the meal. We enjoyed talking with our Wrangler the whole time. Nice evening.
The ride was fabulous and views were amazing! We had a great time with Piper as our guide. The steaks were very tasty also! Thank you!
