We leave from the benches at the entrance to Waterfront Park. If you park at 1006 Bay Street, which is the Beaufort Downtown Marina, walk towards the boats on the water and look to the left and you will see the benches. One of the benches says "here are my plans for Saturday."

Very enjoyable tour that lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. Janet was well-versed on all things Pat Conroy! We also heard about the history of the area, and we took a very informative ride through the national cemetery. I would highly recommend this tour.

We could not have picked a better day to tour Beaufort or a better guide than Janet McCauley. We've lived in Beaufort for 20 years and still learned a ton from Janet's thorough explanations. Beaufort and Pat Conroy both have rich histories, and she knew just how to present them. Highly recommend this tour.

On Sunday 10/27/2024 My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Pat Conroy golf cart tour in Beaufort. Our guide (Janet) was fantastic and very knowledgeable of Beaufort history as well as Pat Conroy. Janet was fabulous and answered every question we had to the fullest. Definitely will give her 10 stars for the tour. She loves what she does and will go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and relax during the tour. I recommend her 100 percent. You will not regret it. We will be back to Beaufort and will most likely request her for our next guided tour.

Our tour guide Karen was incredible. Besides her extensive knowledge of Pat Conroy, she also showed her love of Beaufort through description and history of this beautiful town, including identifying the local flora. Golf cart tours are the best for those with mobility issues and this tour even included hearing devices so you wouldn't miss a word! Highly recommend and ask for Karen!

Unfortunately I as the consumer did NOT realize that the Pat Conroy tour was going to exclusive about Pat Conroy& not about the history of Beaufort itself. My mistake, so it turned out it to be what we all expected.

Loved hearing stories about Pat Conroy's life, his books, the movies filmed in Beaufort, and seeing the places in person. Touring the back streets to see all those beautiful homes was really enjoyable. After the tour, we visited the Pat Conroy center where they had interesting memorabilia too!

Bill, our guide, did a fabulous job of explaining the life of Pat Conroy and pointing out where he lived in Beaufort. He also included where other movies were filmed including Forrest Gump. We also saw the gravesites of Conroy’s parents and learned where he was buried.

We took the Pat Conroy’s Beaufort tour yesterday, and our tour guide, Kathy, was an absolute delight. She was knowledgeable and personable, and she clearly enjoyed what she was doing. She was fun! We learned many interesting facts and tidbits not only about Pat Conroy, but also about the antebellum homes, and the history and culture of Beaufort. Loved it! My wife and I and our two friends from Birmingham had a wonderful time. We visited the Pat Conroy Literary Center before the tour, and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

My wife and I are Pat Conroy enthusiasts. We were visiting in SC. My wife was googling places of interest and found this tour. If you are a Pat Conroy fan, this tour is a must. Bill the tour guide, is well versed about Conroy and the town of Beaufort as well. We rode in an open golf cart that enabled us to enjoy the delightful town of Beaufort and the various Pat Conroy related sights. Well worth the money. Tour time: 90 minutes. Don’t think twice, make your reservation.
