Please meet me outside the Marina Ship Store (1006 Bay Street). The red and white brick store is located in a public parking lot that charges $1 an hour at the kiosk. Please put in at least 3 hours (4/5 if you are staying for lunch/shopping after). I will be wearing my straw hat.

This was a wonderful, informative and casual tour of historical Beaufort. Wynn was fabulous with his fund of knowledge of the historical sites and well as the surrounding context of the history of the day contributing to the events in Beaufort. The walk is easy and the 2 1/2 hours went by quickly. We could recommend this to anyone looking for a guided tour of Beaufort.

I arrived at the scheduled start time and the guide was nowhere to be found. I sent the guode a message and stood around waiting 30 minutes before walking around on my own so as not to have wasted the trip up.

Janet is a joy to spend time with! Her company feels like that of a longtime friend. She is so funny and full of interesting history and cultural information about Beaufort and the surrounding area. I highly recommend her tour to anyone. She timed the tour so that we had periods indoors in the AC away from the oppressive heat. Very thoughtfully done! Apply sunscreen, wear a hat and drink water if going in the summer!

Wynn led us on this 2 hour tour covering about 2 miles of Beaufort. We met near the Marina and walked from there to and through the Old Point Neighborhood, a well known area of historic homes. Wynn did a good job giving us background of Beaufort's history including the history of Robert Smalls and his rise to prominence during the Reconstruction era. We learned so much. Highly recommended.

We did not know much about Beaufort before gong on the tour with Janet. She was a lot of fun and provided a lot of information, history and more modern fact about the town. We enjoyed the tour a lot and Janet certainly made it fun.

Janet was absolutely delightful. If you love history and seeing beautiful pre-civil war Southern Masions, I definitely recommend this tour. We had a lot of fun learning about Beaufort's history and connections to the civil war. Janet was very friendly and engaged our teenage daughter which can sometimes prove difficult. Very nice day spent in Beaufort with Janet.
