    Disappointed

    Jo_D, May 2026
It is not really skip the line, so many we had to stand in line for 30 minutes, then we got to museum and was closed, so we didn’t even get to see. Wouldn’t buy these tickets again. No audio tour

It was great to skip main queues but difficult to find the person to collect tickets when it was so busy . They needed a

    Kathy_M, May 2026
If you are with a partner, have one stand in line whilst the other organizes the tickets to save time in the heat.

Book directly with Duomo to save 60%, this is a markup scam and you don’t get to skip the line

    Nick_S, May 2026
There is no “skip the line” just book it directly with the Duomo and you’ll save 60%. They’ll even send you the tickets which show the price of them direct through Duomo so you get to see how much they’re marked up. Experience itself is worthwhile and climbing the bell tower is a really cool experience, it just only costs $20 direct through Duomo

    Response from Host, May 2026

Hello Nick, Thank you for sharing your experience, I should’ve explained that better. Same-day and last-minute tickets are usually sold out, especially during busy periods. The higher price is mainly because those tickets are reserved in advance and guarantee availability when regular slots are no longer available. The experience itself is definitely worth it though — especially climbing the bell tower.

Above all, don't miss the Museo

    Jane_B, May 2026
It was very difficult finding the tour guide--there are many tabcchis near to the Duomo. The line to get inside the Duomo was very long and the interior was not that interesting, but the crypt was worth the wait. The view from the top of the bell tower is exceptional. The Battistero was as expected, but the Museo was exceptional, the best of the four sites on the ticket.

    Don’t bother

    Kelly_D, May 2026
This was by far the worst experience I’ve had. Been using Viator for years and this one is not recommended. The instructions were not clear where to go, and when you did find it, you “checked in” and went to the queue (which was super long). The fact it was pouring rain didn’t help either. Finally - when we got close they closed it for “religious services”. No refund given hence the review.

    Response from Host, May 2026

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, temporary closures of the Cathedral for religious services are entirely decided by the Cathedral management and are beyond our control. Regarding the meeting point and redemption process, the instructions are clearly written on the voucher, including the exact location and steps to redeem the ticket. A contact number and messaging support were also provided in case any assistance was needed before or during the visit. We understand the weather and unexpected closure made the experience frustrating, and we appreciate your feedback.

    Not worth it

    Jeanna_B, May 2026
It was pouring rain the "skip the line" wasnt...we traveled with 6 people got the confirmation on what's app..but had to scan each individual in separately for every building holding up every supposed skip the line...no direction

    Response from Host, May 2026

We’re sorry to hear the experience was frustrating, especially with the heavy rain. Unfortunately, weather conditions and the resulting delays at the entrances are outside of our control and can sometimes slow down the admission process. The tickets for your entire group were sent directly to your phone so everyone could use them at the entrance without needing to wait at a separate meeting point to collect physical tickets. Each person still needs to be scanned individually by the venue staff at every monument, which is part of their entrance procedure. We appreciate your feedback and understand how the weather and queues affected your visit.

Experience was great The company worked with out time issues. Very happy we picked this excursion. Thank you

    Expected more.

    Joni_T, May 2026
This is not a guided tour. We did enter the Duomo through a side door that was away from the long lines of people which was nice. Otherwise there isn’t a lot to see there or in the Baptistry and without a guide delivering information there’s not much to read about or learn. The outside of the Duomo is the most impressive. Not a must see for me.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for your feedback and for mentioning that you were able to enter through the side entrance and avoid the very long lines — that is the main purpose of this activity, especially at such a busy site. We would also like to clarify that the experience is clearly described as a self-guided visit and not a guided tour. The Duomo is the main attraction in Florence and one of the busiest monuments in the city, so reserved access helps visitors save significant waiting time. We appreciate you sharing your experience.

    Robert_G, May 2026
Despite the name you didn’t get to skip the line we waited in the hot sun for over an hour to enter. Initially, we were supposed to have a guide and they changed the tour.

    Response from Host, May 2026

We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. As previously mentioned, all visitors are required to pass through security checks individually, which can take some time, especially since the Duomo is one of the busiest sites in Florence. For this reason, we recommend arriving a few minutes before your reserved time to help ensure a smoother and quicker entrance. We would also like to clarify that this activity is a self-guided visit, not a guided tour, as clearly mentioned on the activity page. We understand there may have been some confusion, and we regret any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your feedback — it helps us improve our service.

    Amazing!

    Duomo in Minutes

    holly_s, May 2026
This was great! We walked into the Duomo almost immediately. We were given the location of the person with our tickets, walked over to the Duomo, and were inside in approximately three minutes!

Need to knows for smooth experience

    Bobby_M, Apr 2026
Please make sure you meet with the tour representative in front of the shops which are along the right side of the Duomo if you're looking at it from the front entrance. They will scan and validate your ticket then you can go get in line. Also, if you have a backpack you have to store it in the luggage deposit which is in a small shop directly behind the back of the Duomo. These two pieces of information are critical to allow you to get into line and enjoy the experience as smoothly as possible.

Line was somewhat long and we got there about 25 mins before the cathedral opened but it went fast! However the workers outside when asked said there was no such thing as “skip the line”

    Good ticket

    tonimosby, Apr 2026
It definitely wasn’t “skip” the line but it worked out fine. Just show up early to get in line. The ticket is good for every exhibit which is worth it.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Dear Martin Thank you for your review, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. We apologize for any misunderstanding; however, we would like to clarify that the voucher you received clearly states come to designated meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled activity time in order to collect your tickets from our representative. The voucher also provides a contact number for assistance. If you were unable to locate our staff at the meeting point, we strongly recommend contacting this number so we can help you in real time. Regarding the price, it reflects the fact that tickets are often sold out on the day of the visit and must be reserved in advance to guarantee entry for all customers. For future bookings, we kindly suggest reviewing the voucher details carefully, as they contain important information to ensure a smooth experience. Thank you for your understanding.

Very easy instructions. Only change that would be goi is to provide the option to use Apple Wallet instead of Whats app for scanning Otherwise good communication and instructions

    Opera Museum was the highlight

    Heidi_N, Apr 2026
The Skip-the-Line line for the Duomo was almost as long as the regular line. The Baptistery was under construction, not much to see. However, the Opera Museum was incredible! The highlight! Also, we climbed Giortto’s Bell Tower as the Duomo Tower was sold out. Get those tickets early if you want that experience. But the Bell Tower was great too, awesome views, and we were able to get tickets the day of.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thanks for sharing your experience! The skip-the-line ticket usually does take less time than the general line, even if it still looks long at first. Glad you highlighted the Opera Museum — it’s truly a must-see. Also, it’s definitely important to book tickets in advance, especially during the high season, as they tend to sell out quickly

    No skip the line needed...

    Sean_O, Apr 2026
No skip the line needed, false advertising,Just buy on the day at the chosen venue for cheaper. Waste of money

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and for any frustration caused by your experience. We understand your concerns regarding the “skip the line” expectation. The cathedral is the busiest part of the complex, and queues naturally become longer as the day goes on. For this reason, visitors are directed there first to help manage crowd flow and reduce overall waiting times where possible. It’s also important to note that each monument—including the cathedral and the bell tower—has its own separate entrance and mandatory security check. These procedures are required for all visitors, regardless of how tickets are purchased, and can involve joining different queues at specific times. We appreciate your feedback and regret that the experience did not meet your expectations.

    Confusing Timing on Tickets

    Lucy_W, Apr 2026
We booked timed-entry and bell tower climb. The time slot we booked was 10am. This was somewhat misleading as when we received the tickets we needed to queue to enter the Duomo (doors opened at 10.15am) and our bell tower climb was “strictly 11.15am”. Fortunately we arrived around 9.45am (expecting a 10am time slot) so we were very near the start of the queue, which did become fairly long. We then had to join at separate queue at 11.15am for the bell tower climb. The ticket agent was helpful when we arrived, but there were several confused people who were arriving at 10am and not expecting such a queue.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Dear Lucy , We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion you experienced during your visit. We understand how the timing may have felt misleading. The cathedral is the busiest part of the complex, and queues tend to grow significantly as the day progresses. For this reason, we direct visitors there first in order to help minimize overall waiting times as much as possible. Additionally, each monument—including the cathedral and the bell tower—has its own separate entrance and security check. These procedures are mandatory for all visitors and can require joining different queues at the designated times. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re glad to hear our ticket agent was able to assist you on arrival.

Instructions were very unclear and timed entry to the bell tower did not match my booking bay a day,

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

The bell tower entry time can vary depending on availability, which is a normal operational condition and not a fault in the booking itself. Dear David, Thank you for sharing your experience. The bell tower entry time can vary depending on availability, which is a normal operational condition and not a fault in the booking itself. Additionally, the ticket includes access to multiple attractions, allowing visitors to explore other sites while waiting for their scheduled bell tower entry. This ensures that the overall experience is not negatively impacted by minor timing adjustments. Furthermore, clear instructions and a contact phone number are provided on the voucher. Customers can easily reach out for assistance or clarification if needed, which helps resolve any confusion in real time. Thank you

    Very crowded and not...

    capoferriadams, Apr 2026
Very crowded and not worth the price of admission. Didn’t really get anything for the price of the Viator tour.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you for your feedback. The cathedral is the main attraction of the complex and, due to its significance, it is often very busy, especially during peak seasons. The admission, however, includes access to multiple sites within the complex—typically three different areas—which together provide a more complete experience and help justify the overall price of the ticket. Additionally, tickets for these attractions are frequently sold out, so booking in advance ensures guaranteed entry and helps visitors avoid the disappointment of not being able to visit at all. We understand that crowds can impact the experience, but the ticket is designed to offer comprehensive access and convenience.

Florence Duomo Cathedral Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket

    DAVID_I, Apr 2026
The Duomo Cathedral Santa Maria Del Fiore entrance is certainly more artistic beautiful from outside than inside and it is a central cultural part of Florence. The ticket are including Duomo Cathedral Santa Maria Del Fiore entrance, the Giotto's Bell Tower (Campanile di Giotto), Opera Del Duomo Museum, Access/entry to Crypt (foundations of the cathedral), the Baptistery of St. John, and is not included the dome (cupola) which is cost another €30/person extra. The fixed schedule is for the Giotto's Bell Tower (Campanile di Giotto) climb because of the limited space. If you have this ticket you do not have to stand in the long line but other entry have to wait in long line. The Giotto's Bell Tower (Campanile di Giotto) is 414 steps climbing up a lots of steps and fighting your way through narrow stairways passing other people. At the top of the Tower is the most spectacular view and highest point. There is get to see the top of Cathedral Santa Maria Del Fiore the Cupola dome and view surrounding the city of Florence.

Not skip the line at all

    Emma_M, Apr 2026
Ive bought several skip the line tickets before through Viator with no issues. This one was a total rip off. You still have to join a line to get in making the ticket in no way 'skip the line entry'. This is not accurately described and should be removed from sale. There were others in the line equally annoyed at having paid for a skip the line ticket when it isnt, and I see several reviews mentioning the same. I messaged them from the line asking how is it skip the line if you still have to queue and their reply was pretty much 'yes you still have to queue'. Save yourself £30 and just get the free entry ticket direct from the booth instead and get in line (the queue for the official ticket booth was tiny the day I went - Id have got into the cathedral within the same timeframe for free without needlessly having spent 30 quid on Viator).

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you for sharing your experience. The cathedral is the main attraction of the city and naturally a very busy site, especially during peak times, so some level of queuing can still occur due to security checks and crowd management. It’s important to note that while general entry to the cathedral may be free, it does not include access to other significant parts of the complex such as the crypt, baptistery, and museum. This ticket provides entry to all of these areas, offering a more complete experience beyond just the cathedral itself. Additionally, these tickets are pre-reserved in advance, which is particularly valuable during high season when availability is often sold out. This helps ensure guaranteed access to the full complex without the risk of missing out. We understand the frustration regarding expectations around “skip-the-line,” but the ticket is designed to provide convenience, broader access, and secured entry during busy periods.

    Skip the line (not).

    Leonardo_G, Apr 2026
"Skip the line" had a 400 people line in front of us. Service was very poor. It does not include access to the top. Only the church. Baptisterio is in full renovation. The museum was ok. Quite overpriced for what you get. Tourist trap. Avoid.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026
