Very disappointing. We arrived to the Duomo 12:15pm for our 1pm tour. Couldn’t find where to meet and asked approx 10 people (including a policeman) where we needed to go to get our tickets we already purchased. We walked around the cathedral 4 times (and it’s huge!!) we finally had a local take us to the address we needed to be and it was a private residence - no place to get our tickets! We never were able to connect with anyone so weren’t able to get inside the Duomo.

Horrible experience. Got scammed! The address for the meeting place took us to a private residence. We stopped to ask the police that were around the Duomo. We asked Duomo docent. There was not one person to greet us to get our tickets to go in. Very unhappy and unsatisfied.

Make sure you have your tickets either on WhatsApp or pdf. If they do not have the code you cannot enter. They are very strict about this.

Paid a lot more money for what seemed like a guided tour. It is not. The guy checked our names off a list and checked we had tickets. After that we were on our own. The booking was for 10am, the message we got mentioned 10am and '10:30 sharp", and the door to our entrance (that we had to queue for) opened at 10:15. We feel a bit ripped off.

Worst viator experience! We were in line for about 40 minutes just to be told we couldn’t access the Duomo with our pass. They told us to go to the other side of the building to access it but it was for the Reparata which was the only part we were able to access. The main attraction was the Duomo. Complete waste of time and money. I submitted a dispute to get partial credit and was denied. Strongly don’t recommend!

This is silly. There is no skip the line—it’s everyone in one line. I purchased thinking we would spend less time in the cold and rain—nope. Bell tower not included. Dome access not included. The only tour I’ve purchased where I felt cheated.

Getting the actual tickets from Viator is such a pain. You’re better off getting tickets directly from the venue. Also the fast pass does nothing. The experience itself was good, Viator is just pointless.

The communication with the tour operators was not good. When I received a message by Whatsapp the day before the event, I honestly thought it was spam. It did not describe what I had bought, the confirmation numbers were different and it was for only 1 adult. I reached out to the tour operator and mentioned there was only 1 ticket. I was repeatedly told, “just use the pdf”. All other events I’ve booked through Viator had 1 ticket for 2 adults. I thought that our ticket must be for 2. Because the weather caused my cell service to be glitchy, I took a screen shot of my ticket to use in case I couldn’t get to my pdf. That’s what happened. The guard yelled at me for using a photo. I finally got the pdf to load on my phone and he yelled at me for only having 1 ticket. The people behind me said they had one ticket for 2 people, also We finally figured out the second ticket was further away in the pdf from the first ticket. It would be helpful if that was explained in the email, or if the 2 tiny barcodes were closer than pages away. And if the confirmation numbers matched. That was really concerning and made me sure the email was either spam or a mistake. But the Duomo and museum were fantastic.

Very poor direction. Arrived at the Duomo and still waited in a very long line since there was zero direction on how to "skip the line". This Duomo is FREE to get enter! Tried calling after speaking with a rep. And was told cancellation and refund was not possible. Very confusing and disappointed. Would not use this service again

⭐️ 1 Star — Do Not Buy! Misleading and Overpriced False advertising. There is no such thing as a “Fast Track Cathedral Entrance,” “Priority Entrance,” or “Guaranteed to Skip the Line” option for the Duomo. Everything promised in this listing is simply not true. They claim you’ll meet a tour operator with tickets — that never happens. Instead, they send tickets through WhatsApp and tell you to stand in the same line as everyone else. You can buy the exact same tickets at the official counter for a fraction of the price with no extra wait. I book many tours through Viator, and this is the first time I’ve felt scammed. It seems this company simply buys regular tickets at face value and resells them for triple the cost. Viator needs to better vet listings like this. Save your money — buy your tickets directly at the Duomo desk. There’s no real line, and you’ll avoid the frustration and false promises.

MY wife and I missed this tour while looking around all over the meeting area for 45 mins prior to meeting time. No descriptive shirts, flags to separate and identify the tour groups. This has happened before. VIATOR had a great reputation. But you have ruined my Florence visit. NO RECOMMENDATIONS from me this time..I'm still pist!

The fast track skip the line was actually a shorter line that still took forever. After standing in line for 20 minutes, sweating, we skipped the activity and didn't use tickets at all.

Not a Skip-The-Line

Our ticket indicated we were to show up 15 mins before and meet guide at an indicated location; shortly before, I received a text with a pdf of tickets and instruction to instead proceed directly to the crypt on our own for entry PROMPTLY at the appointed tour time (Noon). We did so, and were told our "Fast Track Entry Ticket" was no such thing, that the ticket the vendor sells has nothing to do with the actual protocol of the Cathedral. There was a line of approx 60-80 people standing in the very hot / humid sun outside the entrance and we were directed to the end. At a nearby guard's suggestion, we returned two hours later and the line was shorter, waited about 20 mins, and our ticket on my phone did gain us entry. We saw what we wished and left satisfied in the end. But the ticket we purchased was not as advertised. On a prior visit, I was on a guided tour where a guide truly meets you and takes the entire group to the front and you skip the line; more costly, but it's my recommendation. Spend the additional $ and go on a group tour. "Fast Track Entry Ticket" is a misrepresentation by the Italian tour company that contracts with Viator.

Unlike other apps, this one offers real, in-country support with a live person available if any issues come up. For example, when I couldn’t find my tour guide, someone actually called me on WhatsApp to make sure I was taken care of. I also loved that I could purchase tickets the same day—something other apps usually require you to book two or three days in advance.
