A Viator representative met us at the exact address given near the gallery entrance. That representative had an escort take us directly to the gallery entrance. We bypassed the long line.

We booked a 9:45 tour and we arrived at the meeting point at 9am. We spoke to a person from Viator 3 times (2 times to a person on site and 1 time via phone call) and were told we were in the right place and to wait to be picked up. We finally gave up and left at 10:50 since we had other activities booked.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
We kindly confirm that our hosts were present at the designated meeting point from 9:00 and remained there before and during the scheduled 9:45 tour. All guests were collected and accompanied as advertised.
It seems that these travelers may have experienced a misunderstanding at the location despite speaking with representatives. Unfortunately, they left the meeting point before joining the group, but the service was delivered as scheduled and according to the advertised inclusions.
For this reason, we are unable to approve any refund request for this booking.
Best regards,
EU Travel Group SRL

Lots of people lined up to get in. Ask anyone with a sign of you don’t see your sign for the ticket pickup. All of the representatives know each other and can help.
Must book ahead! Skip the line is the way to go. Got right in a few minutes earlier than our scheduled entry.
Seeing “David” and unfinished Michelangelo sculptures really gives you a sense of how much time and effort when into all his works. Lots of other artists to see if you have time.
Imelda_S, Sep 2025
I gave only 3 since the local guide to meet us in the meeting point 43 was very late, time entry for the tickets was at 2:45. The named of the local guide was Brian and 2 other local guides from a different company had to call Brian multiple times.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Our records show that the host and guide were present at the designated location, and occasionally small delays can occur due to security procedures and coordinating multiple groups with the Cathedral’s strict timed-entry system.
Please rest assured that we provided the reserved entry and the service as advertised. We will review this internally with our team to ensure smoother coordination in the future.
Justin_K, Sep 2025
They never showed up to the meeting point and we had to ask a different tour guide to get inside with his passes
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your comment. Our records show that our hosts were present at the meeting point during the scheduled time, with the group tickets prepared for entry. It seems there may have been a misunderstanding or confusion about the exact location. We regret the inconvenience caused and will review this internally to avoid similar situations
Carol_R, Sep 2025
The guide who was supposed to meet us for a 9:45 tour didn’t show until after 9:50 a nd we were not given audio headphones
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify a few important points:
Our host was present at the meeting point from 09:00, well in advance of the 09:45 start time, as confirmed by our staff records.
This activity includes a digital audio guide to be downloaded on your own smartphone. It does not include physical headphones, as clearly indicated in the product description.
We take accuracy very seriously, and it is important that future guests are not misled by incorrect information. Our team works hard to ensure smooth check-in and clear instructions at the meeting point, and we kindly remind all guests to check their voucher details where these inclusions and meeting procedures are explained

Are the tickets legit? Yes.
Is this essentially legalized ticket scalping? Also yes.
For anyone wondering how this works, under Italian law, licensed travel agencies and tour operators are legally allowed to purchase museum tickets and resell them (at any price) as part of a package.
...But the package can be as minimal as a ticket plus a "service", like a two-minute orientation speech, or like *walking you to the museum's security line.* The latter is what you're getting here.
What we have here is functionally ticket scalping, but legally packaged as a tour product. Italy is wrong for allowing this, and EU Tours should feel bad for partaking in it.
(And please, EU Tours, spare me the disingenous comment on my review in which you defend your business model. Nobody is listening.)
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for sharing your perspective. We understand your concerns regarding ticket reselling and the structure of tour packages in Italy. As you mentioned, Italian regulations allow licensed tour operators to purchase and resell tickets as part of a broader service package.
Our intention is never to mislead, but to provide convenience, assistance, and added value to visitors who may prefer having logistics, orientation, and access handled for them. We respect that this approach may not be for everyone, and we appreciate you voicing your point of view.
Your feedback helps us reflect on how we communicate our services more transparently, and we will continue working to improve in this regard.
Kind regards

Experience was fantastic it is however expensive for just a que jump perhaps if an audio guide was included in the price i think that would be far more acceptable
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your kind words! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that your guide made the visit both informative and enjoyable. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again on another tour!
Kind regards

Obtaining tickets to the event was straightforward and an easy process. I got the tickets on the same day as the event.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We’re so glad to hear that getting your tickets was quick and easy! Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope you enjoyed the event.
Kind regards
louise_e, Sep 2025
We had to wait a long time for the person to give us our tickets.
Once we had them we did enter quite quickly, the experience was worth it.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the experience and found it worthwhile. We appreciate your patience at the meeting point and will keep working to make the ticket handover even smoother.
Best regards,
EU Tours Team

It was a bit strange: Since it was the first Sunday of the month, the Voucher was not redeemable. I wish I had paid more attention. Viator gave me a rebate right away.
Olga_S, Sep 2025
Completely DISHONEST business. I booked a fast track ticket for Sunday morning. I received multiple confirmation emails to be on time. I rushed to get here promptly. First of all, no one was here to meet me, even though I texted my tour operators. Secondly, MUSEUMS ARE FREE IN FLORENCE ON SUNDAYS!!!! So why is this company selling tickets?????
I got online , when I didn’t hear back from my supposed tour guide, and 30 min later received a response that said ‘ museums are free today, please ask for a refund’.
Seriously, WTF? It’s shameful that there are scammers ruining peoples vacations . It’s very gross and sad.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We are very sorry to read your review, but we must clarify the facts clearly:
The first Sunday of each month in Florence, state museums (such as the Accademia and Uffizi) are free of charge. This policy is set directly by the Italian Ministry of Culture and applies to everyone.
Our system, as well as Viator/other OTA platforms, continues to allow reservations on these dates. When this occurs, we immediately notify guests and offer either rescheduling or a full refund. This is exactly what happened in your case.
To state that our company is “dishonest” or “scamming” is not correct. We operate as a licensed and regulated tour operator and have served thousands of satisfied visitors in Florence.
We understand your frustration at the situation, but the free-entry policy is an external government decision and beyond our control. Our team responded to you and instructed you to request a refund, so you did not lose your money.
Mary_H, Sep 2025
Feels as though we just bought tickets from a scalper. When I tried to buy tickets through the museum the fast track tickets were all sold out. Likely tour companies like this one buy them all up and then sell them to tourists that need to squeeze all of the ‘must do’s’ into their trip. There was no person holding a viator sign at the location provided but we ended up finding someone who knew someone who had the tickets with our name on a list and we did in fact enter at the agreed upon time. I just wish there was a way to prevent the scalpers from doing this and am disappointed we had to pay extra for something we should have been able to buy through the museum directly.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your comments. We would like to clarify an important point: our company is a licensed and authorized tour operator in Florence, and we do not engage in any form of ticket scalping. The accusation of “scalping” is not accurate.
The Cathedral Complex has limited daily capacity. To assist international travelers, we pre-purchase official tickets directly from the Opera del Duomo and include them in our packages together with host support and customer service. This ensures that guests who cannot secure tickets directly are still able to visit.
As clearly stated in the product description, this is not a “skip every line” service but reserved timed entry. Security checks and entrance lines are mandatory for all visitors, regardless of how the ticket was purchased.
Our staff was present at the meeting point to deliver your tickets, and you entered at the agreed time, meaning the service was provided as advertised.
We understand your disappointment about pricing, but our service goes beyond the face value of the museum ticket by covering advance purchase, availability management, and on-site host support.
Ileana_T, Apr 2025
You need a skip the line ticket.. otherwise be prepared to wait more than 1.5 hours to get in! It was a bit chaotic outside but after finding the rep we got in within 15 min
Response from Host, Jun 2025
thank you for your feedback! we are pleased to know you had a good time with us and we are looking forward to meet you in future tours
Peter_L, Mar 2025
The museum itself is beautiful, but we are still trying to figure out what skip the line meant here because we were just included in the crowded lines…..we initially met a Viator representative across from the museum to get our previously purchased tickets (paid $85 total for two of us). We asked where our skip the line was. Told us oh just go right here (same line as everyone else) then he left. Huh???? Tickets at the door are 16 euros per ticket. Not sure what we paid extra for. I’d say a bit misleading here. Seeing the David and all the incredible art was awesome, but I would not trust skip the line offer because it wasn’t.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you for your feedback. However, we must respectfully clarify some key points. The entrance you used was indeed the skip-the-line access, which allows guests to bypass the standard ticket purchase queue — a significant time-saver, especially during peak hours.
That said, all visitors, regardless of ticket type, are still required to pass through mandatory security screening, which can occasionally result in delays, especially during busy times. This is entirely out of our control and is managed by the museum itself for the safety of all guests.
The price you paid includes not only the guaranteed timed-entry tickets but also the convenience of pre-booking and local coordination through our representative. Standard tickets at the door are subject to availability, and on many days, especially high season, visitors without reservations face hours of waiting — or are turned away entirely.
We are glad you enjoyed seeing the David and the museum's art, but we stand by the accuracy and value of our service.
