I learned about botany, birding, geology and history from tour operator Brian in the retractable roof tour on 10-15-25. He didn't rush his presentatation. The vehicl was scrubbed clean and there were plenty of snacks to eat.

I booked the tour after reading so many positive reviews. Zak was excellent. The tour was a huge highlight of our vacation. I wanted my husband to be able to sit back and enjoy instead of doing all the driving. He thoroughly enjoyed it. So much history provided as we traversed the 4 hour tour. The windows were retracted going up to the top so we had breathtaking, expansive views. It started sleeting when we almost reached the top, approx 12,400 ft. Beautiful alpine tundra. The windows were put in place and we enjoyed warm hot chocolate, tea and coffee along with snacks. Cold beverages were available too. We would highly encourage this tour. Zak was engaging and offered great knowledge and insight. We have a special needs daughter who was also super comfortable and was not bothered by heights or navigating getting in and out. Thank you sooooo much. From the warm, caring check in offering pre-departure drinks and snacks to the conclusion, we felt the value far exceeded the cost. Oh and there are bathroom facilities along the the way. Some more outdoorsy than others. 😊

Rocky Mountain High

Joann_A, Oct 2025
Our guide Lex was fabulous. She is a knowledgeable tour guide and we learned so much about Rocky Mountain National Park and its animals. The bus was so comfortable and had great visibility. The views were spectacular. The bus was stocked with hot and cold drinks and snacks galore as well as comfy blankets. We saw tons of elk and some deer. FYI , bring toilet paper for the park restrooms.

Great experience!

We take the Rut and the summit tour the next day. Two different guides, they were both great! We really enjoyed all the information, the guides were helpful and friendly. The vans were wonderful. Having the top open was so enjoyable. We had to close once for a sprinkle of rain and it was getting cold going up to the summit. Highly recommend this company.

Amazing comfortable enjoyable experience.

We had Lex as our tour guide and she was fabulous! Part of the trail was closed, but she made up for it and took us to different places. She spent time with each of us, and we learned a lot from her! Highly recommend!

This is the best way to see RMNP! Riding in an open-air vehicle while the driver drops all kinds of RMNP knowledge is well-worth the cost of a ticket. We were very happy with our driver, Brian. He was able to close the glass for a bit while a rain shower passed through. Blankets, snacks and bathroom stops were provided. Highly recommended!

Awesome Elk Tour

Cindy_W, Sep 2025

This is SO worth the investment in your leisure time. Your interesting and ‘history buff’ tour guide will have you asking questions and making your own thoughtful comments.

Our tour with Purple Points Tour Company was an absolute highlight! Our guide Brian was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts about the park's history and wildlife, and kept the entire group entertained. The tour bus itself was a great bonus, with a nice retractable roof that came in handy more than once to keep us comfortable. I can't recommend this tour highly enough—it's a truly unforgettable way to experience the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Zac was great very informative and stopped for elks. He went above and beyond educating us about the beautiful history of Rocky Mountains and every animal on the park. He cared for our safety and was extremely patient. My husband and I would pick Zac all over again.

Excellent, educational and fun.

Eryn_C, Sep 2025
The tour is packed full of beautiful scenery and interesting facts about the park. I learned so many things that I never knew. We also saw lots of wildlife. This is a relatively new tour operator, but they understand customer service. They provide snacks, drinks, hot beverages, and freshly laundered blankets. If I had any advice to offer to passengers it would be to bring layered clothing so you have options to keep you warm. Our tou guide Brian was top notch.
