Justin was our guide and was great! Worked hard so we didn't have to. Was very friendly and made the trip more fun. We went at the end of June. The water was easy and I went with my 16 year old daughter but would be no problem to take very young kids. Had a great time but would probably do again only if earlier in the season when water is higher as there was very little rapids and slow moving water. Justin and the crew working there were fantastic though!

Fun energetic guides with knowledge of the river. Made everyone feel safe and had knowleged of the history of the town.
Animas River is a little tame due to the low snowpack this year, but COA did a great job of making the trip down the river enjoyable. Rhys was our guide and he did a fantastic job of navigating the river.
Great crew. Harry was awesome with the oars. Water is so low it’s like bumper cars with the rocks. Grandkids had fun and it was a nice view of the river I had not seen before.
Good crew that tries hard to make it fun.

Excellent time. Took our grandchildren (7&11) and they had a blast. Our guide Ben was outstanding, like one of the best we’ve ever been with. Very nice, communicated great with kids, and made the trip fun. HIGHLY recommend.

This was such a fun adventure! River was low during our trip, so not the white waters we had anticipated, but still fun and our guide was a good time!
We had a great time with Pinkey and Hailee! Great tour guides even with low water. We had a blast. Our fam of 9 was split 6 and 3 and they kept us near enough to chat the whole time.

Our guide Adam was great. We had 3 first timers and he made it extremely comfortable for them. Would highly recommend this trip.

River very slow, only couple of “rapids”. Family was very bored. Not worth the money. Will not go again

We are sorry to hear our trip did not live up to your expectations. The Animas River is not dam controlled therefore we rely on snow melt and rain for the varying river levels. For those looking for more excitement, we'd suggest coming earlier in the summer when the river tends to be higher and more exciting.

Such a fun day. Our guide Wilson was great. Kids loved it and are asking when we can go again. Perfect weather and a good amount of time rafting on the river.

My husband and I had a great time on this rafting trip. The rapids were fun and not scary at all. Our guide, Landon, was fun and informative. You do paddle on this trip. But it’s not difficult or tiring. I would definitely recommend this trip!
Great fun and easy for kids. One thing I would add would be narration from the guide. Maybe something about the history of Durango, Animas River, or the interesting geology we passed along the way. Interaction would make the trip more entertaining and memorable.
My kids and I had a blast! Cory was our guide and he was amazing. He catered to the kids and made it a memorable experience. We will be back!

My twin sons and I had such a great time rafting on the Animas River today! The guide(sorry i am terrible with names) was wonderful, friendly, funny, informative and knowledgeable. He made it a trip we will always remember!
