- ⚠️ Spring 2026: Some overlooks along Mesa Top and Cliff Palace Road are temporarily closed; Mesa Verde Museum closed for renovations
- Park open daily 8 a.m. to sunset; some areas and roads are seasonal — check the NPS website before visiting
- Ranger-led tour tickets required for Cliff Palace, Balcony House, Long House, and Square Tower House
- Step House on Wetherill Mesa is the only self-guided cliff dwelling — no ticket needed
- No food on trails and limited options in the park — pack snacks and at least 1 gallon of water per person per day in summer; temperatures regularly exceed 100°F
- Pets not allowed on trails, cliff dwellings, or ranger tours — consider boarding in Cortez or Mancos nearby

This is something you get for free at the park, they don't tell you that. I didn't even use this, what a huge rip off.

All way good. One error on the Wetherill Mesa Road calling the overlook into the Mancos Valley instead of the Montezuma Valley.
