Durango was a pretty town...
Durango was a pretty town to explore. The cute art, scenery , tourist stops and cafes were more memorable given the clues. The competition was fun.

Great family fun
We enjoyed the hunt. The clues were challenging and we learned a lot about Durango. We found the locals to be helpful and friendly. It was a great experience.

We enjoyed the experience...
We enjoyed the experience very much. We would recommend that there be a “payoff” at the end. We would recommend a certificate or memento or some tangible remembrance of the experience be added.

Fun Times in Durango
What a creative, interesting, FUN way to learn about all kinds of things plus meet some good hearted people. This was all done in 2 hours running around Durango. Tara, our virtual host was so sweet and helpful! My friends and I had never done this before and were a little nervous and insecure in the beginning. Tara engaged with us right away, giving us hints, some really cool challenges and positive support. She got us out of our comfort zone and turned us into determined aspiring sleuths. My partner and I are always looking for fun things to do and new places to explore. From Hawaii to Alaska there are several Creative Soul Scavenger Hunts. We’re definitely putting them on our “To Do” list.

Historic Downtown Durango
  • Durango can get popular come summer. Book accommodations and activities in advance, including the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, to ensure availability.
  • Leave time for a road trip. Drive the Million Dollar Highway or San Juan Skyway, and you’ll see how Durango is truly in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, surrounded by spectacular peaks and valleys in all directions.
  • Layered clothing and sunglasses? Yeah. Thanks to Durango’s high altitude (6,512 feet/1,985 meters), it receives notoriously unpredictable weather—you may experience sunshine and snowstorms on the same summer day.
