I really enjoyed this tour—perfect for getting a feel for downtown Detroit. Kacy was friendly, knowledgeable, and easygoing, which made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed.
She shared great insights about the city without it feeling overwhelming, and her customer service was excellent. She also did a great job helping take photos at different stops, which I really appreciated.
Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely recommend this tour!

This was a wonderful walking tour that showcased some great art pieces and architecture in a small radius. Our tour guide Kacie was able to answer all my questions and was really knowledgeable about detroit and its history. When she heard that I had been considering food tours she provided me a great list of places that highlighted Detroit foods and their cultural districts.
Lisa_G, Mar 2026
Kacie was knowledgeable, well prepared, and eager to show Detroit to us. She was willing to change the itinerary to fit our requests. Highly recommend her!
Ellen_M, Mar 2026
Kacie gave a well thought-out and delivered tour of many of the sites that capture the successes and challenges faced by Detroit over the years. A perfect orientation to a fascinating city.

We are only Detroit for 2 days and we are so glad we did this tour .The tour was interesting and factual .Kacee was so interesting to listen too.Detroit is a USA city which is so underated

The highlight of the tour for me was going inside the Guardian building, but it was neat to learn about the history of Detroit through some of the outdoor plazas and sculptures. Kacie was informed and interesting, but she spoke so quickly it was hard to understand her sometimes. It also felt like she had given the tour many times before (which I'm sure she had).

Such a wonderful way to learn more about Detroit, it’s History, and where Detroit is headed. Lots of great insight for our quick visit. Was definitely able to see, and learn more then if we just tried to wander around ourselves. Sooooo worth it! 10/10

Had a great time. Guide was very informative and able to give lots of background information on various aspects of the city.

We had an amazing tour with Casey! She was incredibly knowledgeable about Detroit’s architecture and history, sharing fascinating details that really brought the city to life. The 2 hour tour was perfectly timed and fast-paced, making excellent use of every minute so we could see as much as possible. Casey also took us to to hidden gems we never would have discovered on our own—unique treasures that made the experience feel truly special. If you’re new to Detroit and want to get your bearings while learning the city’s story, I highly recommend this tour.

Casey was an excellent tour guide. She knew a great deal about Detroit history and answered all of our questions. The architecture was phenomenal.

Kacie was very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and worked very had to be sure that we had a wonderful experience. We loved the whole tour, and have a new appreciation for Detroit. My wife and I live in Ohio, and my daughter (visiting from San Antonio) went with us. Being close, in Ohio, we never poked around in Detroit, but this taste of the city certainly left us with a desire to plan some more time there. Big thanks to Kacie! This is just what I was hoping for!

Kacie was such a great tour guide! We enjoyed learning so much about Detroit in just a couple of hours.

Nice tour of the riverfront to middle of downtown Detroit, bounded between Huntington Place and the Marriitt Renaissance/ GM offices. There were only 3 of us, and 2 left early for a ball game. I think I had benefit of all the tour stops, nonetheless. Kelsie, the guide, was young, personable, and knowledgeable, providing lots of relevant info at each place. It was a good tour, but I'm not 100% sold that it was worth that price. I went on another tour in the early evening for less than half the price, starting at Grand Circus Park that was equally good. Not complaining or saying don't; I'm suggesting that you explore options. Between the 2 foot tours & the People Mover, I believe I got a good introduction to this surprisingly terrific city!

the tour that you went on that costs less has less stops and doesn't give as much information as our tour.
Hence why we call our tour the Bigger, Better, Best Tour of Downtown Detroit!
Once you go on our tour there really is no need to go on another tour of the same area as we will have covered it extensively!

6000 step(right up our alley!) informative tour of downtown Detroit-guide was well-informed. We enjoyed it.
robin_t, Aug 2025
We spent almost 2 hours walking around Detroit. The tour was casual, informative and a great dialogue happened. More of a conversation.
Alice_C, Aug 2025
Great way to see the city of Detroit and how it has evolved. Learn about the architecture of historical buildings.
DaciaD, May 2025
Interesting and informative tour! While I had been to Detroit previously, I hadn’t really noticed some of the buildings before so Kacie was great in describing the history and nuances. Also she recommended some good places to eat while in town. She offered to take photos of me in front of some of the landmarks since I was solo which is everything when you’re on your own. Wear comfy shoes since you will cover a lot of ground.
Fabrizio_B, Apr 2025
It has been a very interesting tour. It showed me the best of Detroit through a nice walk. Kasie was extrordinary kind and very informative. Highly recommended when in Detroit.

Kacie is a nice girl. She is not very experienced at dealing with the public, Im guessing. She speaks too quietly and not very clearly. Despite some awful weather which made our tour a bit miserable there really wasn't much energy from her to give it any enjoyment. Very expensive waste of time. I was really disappointed - its the only reason Im writing the review.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Hi Jenny,
Thank you so much for your review.
If I remember correctly, you were the only person on this tour and Kacie showed up despite extremely bad weather to do the tour for you - she braved torrential rain and extreme cold to show you the city of Detroit!
Our tour is often considered the highlight of people's trip and often the reason they visited the city.
Hope your future travels are filled with better weather - as that's one thing we cannot control!

Very disappointed. The tour guide was very sweet however very soft spoken. Couldn’t hear most of what she was saying. The tour claims 19 stops with admission, most of the stops are outdoor sculptures and the buildings that we went into were free (Huntington Place, GMC, Guardian, and Book Tower). Also the ad claims 10,000 steps we only recorded 6,000. Total tour was around 2 hours. I don’t normally write reviews but I think this was not worth the price and would hate for another tourist to experience.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Hi K_T,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations and will take it into consideration moving forward.
We’re thrilled you found our tour guide sweet but understand how being soft-spoken could impact the experience. We'll work on ensuring all guides are more audible and equipped to accommodate varying group needs.
Regarding the stops and admission, our intention is to showcase Detroit’s rich history and stunning landmarks, including both outdoor and indoor attractions. While some buildings we visit are free to enter, we strive to provide curated insights and a unique perspective to enhance their value. We’ll review how we present this in our descriptions to better align with guest expectations.
As for the 10,000 steps, we appreciate you pointing that out! Variations can happen depending on group pace, but we’ll revisit our route and advertising to ensure it reflects a consistent experience.
I’m deeply sorry you didn’t feel the tour was worth the price, as it’s our mission to provide memorable and enriching experiences for every guest.
Thank you again for your feedback—it’s invaluable as we strive to improve!

Loved the history of Detroit. Also saw Ford Field and enjoyed Corktown. Train Station renovation is amazing.
Peggy_W, Aug 2024
The tour itself, where we went, and what we saw was good. And our tour guide was very sweet and hard-working, but her overall knowledge of Detroit and its history was not strong. This was not an inexpensive tour, and both my husband and I were disappointed in the tour guide’s ability to answer some basic questions. It sounded like she was a new tour guide, and if that’s the case, your company should make sure that she’s really ready to fly solo. She she seems bright and articulate, but not fully prepared. You should send her out on a tour with someone else until she’s ready to go by herself. She had her cheat sheet with her, but I think she felt awkward using it. Overall, we liked her, and we liked the tour. But we felt that we overpaid for what we got.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Hi Peggy,
Thank you so much for taking our tour and for your detailed response!
We understand that everyone starts somewhere and our guides will get better with time.
As for pricing, we are competitively priced with other tours in the area - often being less than others while offering a lot more value!
Our tour includes 19 stops, is 2.5 hours and gets in 10,000 steps!
We do understand about 3 of the stops were closed during your tour and we apologize for that inconvenience. That is out of our control.
Hope you enjoyed your trip and made lasting memories!
