This was a fun experience even if the GPS function isn't the best. Would do this again in different cities.
Response from Host, Jan 2025
Joseph, I’m so glad you enjoyed my Historical Baltimore Self-Driving Sightseeing Audio Tour and would use my tours again! I’d love to know more about the GPS issue you mentioned—it would help me understand and improve. Since you enjoyed Baltimore, you might also like my tours of Washington DC, Gettysburg Battlefield, Shenandoah National Park, and more!
Didn’t work for us in Baltimore
Christine_M, Oct 2024
We did an audio trip in Oahu with Shaka and loved it. So since we had 6+ hours before we had to be at the airport I thought this would be perfect. The directions for this app were poor. If I missed a turn, it didn’t redirect us. At one point we ended up in a boarded up neighborhood without any phone service and the app didn’t work. At times we had to use Google Maps to get back on track and try to find our place in the story. We finally gave up and went to lunch!! Please issue a refund if possible. Horrible experience.
Response from Host, Oct 2024
Christine, I'm sorry the experience didn't go as expected. The app's route should guide you smoothly, but it sounds like things went off track. My support team is available from 5 AM to 5 PM EST, so feel free to reach out if you need help in the future. As requested, I'll process your total refund.
Very difficult to navigate the tour on the app.
Colleen_J, Sep 2024
Great historical stories. Interesting points of interest. The app for the tour is NOT user friendly. Would not recommend.
Response from Host, Sep 2024
Colleen, I’m glad you liked the historical and interesting points! I’m sorry to hear you didn’t find the app user-friendly. Could you let me know what went wrong? The tour is designed to start automatically once you're at the starting point, following the setup instructions sent via email. You can connect it to your car stereo for easy listening and navigation. I’d love to understand more, look into it, and make improvements!
Really good, could be great.
Kevin_N, Jun 2024
While I rated this to a five stars, I wish there was an option to graded 4 1/2. The only issue I found with the tour was if you drove or walked into the next checkpoint it would cut out the story that you already listen to which Were all very very interesting. I’ve seen that other people had complained about this as well but assumed they were just going too fast. When I was driving, I was barely moving and still got through checkpoints. I had to go back around the following day and actually pull over to the side of the road or stop walking so that the narration wouldn’t get interrupted. side from that, it was a really great tour, very easy to use and well and truly worth the small fee asked for to set it up
Response from Host, Jun 2024
Thanks for the great review, Kevin! The app works well at most speeds, but if you go too fast, the narration at checkpoints can get cut off, as you mentioned (and others have). Following the app's suggested route and speed limits should help avoid that. Also, since you enjoyed Baltimore, we have over 100 more tours available. Check out our "100+ Self-Guided Audio Tours" section for tours on the East Coast, West Coast, and overseas adventures!
Great Information
AmyH_A, Mar 2024
Great information but we had trouble at times getting it to work. I think it was the connection in the car in the downtown area.

Difficult
Christa_G, Nov 2023
I enjoyed the stories. Hiwever the driving directions weren't adequate for a 1 person driver in a city like Baltimore. Wasn't easy to follow. Ended up quitting and just listening to the stories.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
Christa, I'm glad you enjoyed the stories, but I hear you on the navigation challenge, especially for solo drivers in a bustling city like Baltimore. Our tours are designed with direction pins to help, but if you think we could amp up the directions even more, I'd love your input on specific stops. And just so you know, your tour is ready for a replay anytime you feel like revisiting those Baltimore tales from the comfort of your home. Let me know how we can enhance your experience next time!

It was very nice to see parts of Baltimore that we have never seen or were aware of. I would use this service again for other cities we visit when we are driving around places.

On a rainy day! 😃
Ruth_L, Aug 2023
My friends came in from FL and never been here. It also happened to be raining off and on yesterday so this was perfect. The information was awesome. I would have preferred if this was totally a “driving” tour as one of my guess couldn’t do the walking portion. There was another point where we got sidetracked because the road in Fells Point was closed. It through everything off. All in all, it was very informative.
Response from Host, Aug 2023

Great way to get to know your way around the city.
Darryl_W, Apr 2023
Great way to get to know your way around the city. Tour guides you to many of the historical sites and tells the history along the way. App worked well.
Wished it had told a little about the neighborhoods and attractions. But if you plan ahead for a few stops, it’s a good first day.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thank you so much Darryl! I’m glad you had a great time in Baltimore with my tour. And thank you for the suggestions — I’ll add as much as I can. I’m always trying to make this the best possible tour possible! Also — if you plan to travel more, you may like my Action+ Tour Bundle (it has all of my self-guided tours, over 100).
Fun way to learn more about Baltimore.
Sharon_H, Nov 2022
Ft. McHenry was awesome and it was open! Many of the other places were closed. There needs to be a way to see what is open a available to visit before you book the tour.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Thank you so much for your feedback, Sharon! I'm delighted that my tour of Baltimore added to your learning and that you enjoyed it. I also have 100 other self-guided tours for other parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites in the US — hopefully, you’ll get the chance to try them next time! Also, to remind you, the tour you bought is yours for a lifetime. So, you can listen to it at home or on your next visit.
Not worth the trouble
Lucy_W, Aug 2022
GPS wouldn’t work. Wasted 9.99!! No customer service to speak to and the help section was no help. We had to enter all the locations into our gpa and drive there ourselves.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Thanks for letting me know. Did you try “Airplane” mode? In general, Baltimore is a big city and has good GPS. Sometimes, tall buildings obstruct it but Baltimore is not like NY City. Can you tell me more about the phone device you used? We would love to check it out. In most cases, “Airplane” mode solves the problem. Please let me know about your device. In the meantime, I would happily exchange your tour with any of my other 100 tours in the USA. Please let me know.
Disappointed
diane_w, Feb 2022
Not clear on what was on tour, whether it was walking or driving, not clear and inaccurate directions/ instructions. We got frustrated after visiting several places and stopped tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2022
This is a driving tour, as per the title! The welcome stop has driving instructions, as does each stop after. If there’s anything we can clarify, please let us know.
