My daughter and I had a great first time experience kayaking. The guy who gave the 5 mins lesson made it simple and easy to understand. I would definitely recommend using this guy. $30/2 hours of kayaking on the river was a no brainer for us. Great overall experience.

When you’re on vacation you have selected activities and a schedule to go by. We reserved kayaking activity yesterday morning around 9:30 am for a 12 pm -2pm reservation. As preparing to leave I received a text from the instructor at 11:08 am to tell us our reservation has been moved to a later time (2pm-4pm)due to a lack of bookings. Sounded like not enough reservations.Wow . Of course that was unacceptable because there were other activities already planned for that time frame. I immediately sent an email to cancel and to return all monies. It was cancelled but still awaiting refund.

It was amazing. The other people in the 2:00 group we went out with all had fun. Going down to the bridge was so much fun. The Austin skyline is beautiful!

Hold the paddle like this and come back here at 1p, that’s the lesson. Not as advertised!
When I asked the guy about the 2hr lesson on Lady Bird Lake I purchased he said “I have to put that on there for Viator to post it, you can cancel.”
There we were, my spouse and kids looking at me ready to kayak, after we waited for him for 45min late. The tour was to start at 10a-12p but he arrived at 10:45 hence telling us to return at 1p.
If I wanted to just rent kayaks there’s a tent renting them right outside the Hilton across from the boat launch for cheaper and we wouldn’t have had to wait.
