This was a perfect way to spend the morning. Our guide, David, picked us up at the airport and we got to travel a good portion of the Juneau area. He took us to some very nice secluded spots where we watched Eagles and ducks. David was pleasant and professional and modified our trip for a limited mobility person.

We had a fantastic tour with our local guide, Aleta! Our family was traveling with two little kids and this was the perfect tour to accommodate all our needs (even a McDonalds bathroom stop for the kids). Aleta met us in downtown Juneau with a well stocked van full of snacks, water, and even an activity book for the kids. Our trip started with an enjoyable and scenic ride through the town of Juneau. Then Aleta took us to the perfect viewing spot of the Mendenhall Glacier that avoided the crowds and allowed us to take the best family photos in front of the stunning scenery. Aleta did a wonderful job of finding the best wildlife spots and we were fortunate to see eagles and a mama bear with her 3 baby cubs! A major highlight that not many other tours listed was the National Shrine of St. Therese. Our family could have spent the whole day taking in the beautiful landscape. Overall a wonderful and extremely relaxed tour that we would highly recommend, especially for families.

We booked a private tour in Juneau with friends and family, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Our guide, David, was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond. He didn’t just take us to the popular spots — he also brought us to meaningful, lesser‑known locations that he personally felt were important to share.
We saw an amazing amount of wildlife, including bears, whales, sea lions, eagles, and deer. The scenic drives were stunning, and many of the views felt completely private, like they were just for us.
Overall, it was a fantastic day and I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a personal and memorable Juneau experience.

Would highly recommend this service for anyone traveling to Juneau. Even though it was pouring rain the day we were in town, our driver made the best of it and made sure we had a great time. There were 4 of us in our group, and we all loved the tour and our driver. His stories and just chatting with us made the tour so much better!!

Unforgettable Juneau Wildlife and Sights with Aleta!
We had an absolutely fantastic localized tour with Aleta from Juneau Pvt Tours, and we cannot recommend her highly enough!
From start to finish, her communication was excellent—she was informative, engaging, and made sure we didn't miss a thing. We had a truly memorable time exploring Juneau's highlights, including the stunning Mendenhall Glacier and the serene Shrine of St. Thérèse.
The wildlife viewing was spectacular. Beyond an incredible watching experience, we lucky enough to see a bear, a deer, a majestic Bald Eagle, and even a Sea Lion!
Aleta’s local knowledge and warm personality made our time in Juneau incredibly special.

We had a great tour with Aleta. She was on time and took us to all the beautiful places in Juneau. She knew her way around to spots that allowed us to see all the sights without crowds.
Aleta put our tour onto two separate groups of black bears that was amazing along with some Eagles.
Highly recommend Aleata for this tour as she put us in the right place at the right time. Highly knowledgeable with a great personality.

This experience can be customized to include your interests. We had a wonderful tour with Aleta. She filled us in on the history of Juneau with entertaining stories as we drove around to the various sites. We highly recommend this tour to get an understanding of how Juneau became the Juneau of today and to get a feel for the wild nature of this incredible region.

Get to know the genuine Juneau with this excellent tour. We were a multi-generational group and this had something for everyone. Joel, our guide was new to the job, but not new to Juneau. His expertise and love for the area really shined through. Our greatest surprise was the Shrine of St. Therese. What a gem! While you don't get up close to the Mendenhall Glacier - the two vantage points were EXCELLENT! Plus, with older travelers it was easier for them. Kids loved spotting a bear and our driver got us a great vantage point. Highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely loved this tour! He was so friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable! Helped us spot wildlife, see different things that weren't covered by the Cruise ship tours, and even took us to pick a few wild huckleberries and blueberries. Would absolutely book this tour again!

This was the best tour we did our entire time in Alaska. Please ask for Dave. He was phenomenal. He took us by and explained everything with such deep understanding. He was a wealth of information he even extended our tour, a bit to get us views of the glacier the fog wasn’t quite cooperating, but he continued to try until we did get to see a bit of it our entire group of 12 loved this tour and loved Dave again. I highly recommend Dave and this tour. He dropped us off in town when we were done and even ran a couple people back to the ship that didn’t want to go to town. Thanks again Dave great tour

We were on a cruise ship and wanted to see Juneau without having to be on a bus or drive around ourselves. We hired Viator for a three hour scenic tour. Our driver was David he was on time and helped us in and out of the van. He was absolutely amazing so informative gave us snacks and water and was pointing out things that we didn’t even notice. He took so many memorable pictures of our group with our phones. He brought along binoculars so we could see glaciers from afar. Let us have rest breaks and was just the kindest person you’d ever wanna meet We got to see salmon trying to swim upstream and beautiful architectural buildings. Joel was a fabulous tour guide. He made us feel right at home with his laid back conversation woven into his heartfelt commentary on his hometown. No one showed or responded. Got a Viator bot trying to help us. It was pointless- suggesting things I’d already done (in my initial description of what I did). Got a human who said “give me a min. to review” then asked me the same questions! If he’d really read, he’d see my booking# and all I’d done! Ended up spending another fortune for a lesser tour in a trolley and no refund so far, just stupid requests to “review your tour!” Frustrating, embarrassing (I’d booked for my family) and wasted precious port time.

Our guide was Dave and he tailored the 3 hour tour to our needs. We had seen the town of Juneau on prior trips so this was a chance to see more of the natural sights; Mendenhall away from the tourist area, St. Therese chapel, smaller ports and beautiful scenery. I recommend this tour if you don’t want to see Juneau town again. Dave was a friendly and informative guide.
