This was an excellent excursion. We went May 2nd and I was worried the whales would not be back. They were! We had excellent views of 2 different wales. One came very close to the boat and presented us with a brilliant tail when he dove down. Obviously this can’t be guaranteed, but we were so delighted. Highly recommend letting the naturalist take the pictures with a professional camera. We were all sent them via text and they were amazing and detailed. No charge,

Whale of a tale was bucket list worthy.
Travel to boat was terrific. Captain and Crew were knowledgeable. We got to see Humpback whales and see Sea Lions. The boat was clean. We also enjoyed seeing many many eagles. We had fantastic weather and I’d highly recommend this company and book again through Viator

Chicago watching Whales
This experience was superb! The Capitan and his first mate were wonderful and knowledgeable and we got to see whales! I am very happy with the privateness of this whale watching. So personable. Everyone was able to be on the outside of the boat and get great pics. The Capitan made several stops looking for whales, we saw one at every spot. Nothing was left out! ALL 14 OF US LOVED IT.

What a wonderful day we...
What a wonderful day we had on this tour! Hats off to Kathy, Tess, Coral, and our boat's pilot (sorry I forgot his name). The boat was comfortable, the sights were spectacular, and the enthusiasm of the crew was delightful and contagious. We visited a charming lighthouse before searching for whales. We were rewarded with sights of sea otters, eagles, and plenty of whales. Mother Nature spoiled us today! The crew was so friendly and knowledgeable and eager to share their information with us. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Perhaps the most popular summer activity in Juneau, whale-watching is an absolute must for any visitor to the city. Though the fabulous creatures are here from April to November, the most splashing, breeching, and jumping happens from June to August—which just so happens to be when the sun is shining and Alaskan days are warm and long. From quick shore excursions to lengthy, private endeavors, all sorts of tours abound, which is lucky: Whale-watching in Juneau is some of the country’s best.
