Itinerary
The best way to get from the Cruiseship port to the Mendenhall Glacier and back efficiently. With this round-trip tour you get a 30 minute narrated tour past the historic downtown, 2 hours to explore the park at your pace, the same guide brings you back to the cruise ship terminal. Pickup and drop-off points are located at the cruise ship terminal near the Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway. Your transfer will be confirmed instantly after making a booking. (Note to cruise-ship passengers: Please provide your ship name, docking time, and disembarkation reboarding times.)
During the 3 hour tour to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, your driver shares advice on how to explore the glacier, provides insight into Juneau history and points out well-known sites. On the return trip, listen for recommendations on where to grab a bite to eat in Juneau.

This was an excellent excursion. Our trolly driver was amazing. so full of information and enthusiasm about what he was teaching us. We were with family and friends and we all loved it. The glacier park was amazing as well with a great hike and lots of amazing views.

Troy gave us lots of local info and highlights on the way to the glacier - pointed out the eagles and even a bear sighting! We squeezed in the East Glacier Trail and Photo point before getting back on for the trip back.. recommend Juneau Tours for a comfortable and fun way to visit Mendenhall.

Although a simple trolley shuttle to the Glacier and back, our driver was friendly and informative on route. We appreciated the extra time compared to other tours giving ample time to wander down to Nugget Falls and back!

My family of 4 (2 grown kids) loved this tour. We were lucky enough to get Wayne as our driver and he was so informative! He gave us so much info on the history of Juneau on the quick drive to the glacier. We were dropped off in main parking lot at the visitors center and were give. 2 hours to explore. We hiked multiple trails and Wayne had the trolley waiting and ready for us when we were done. On the ride back thru town he gave us restaurant and bar info and more history! It was so well organized and I would 100% recommend this as a fast, easy and great way to spend some time at Mendenhall

Great tour! Easy, clear instructions about meeting place & time. Guide was enjoyable and knowledgeable (can’t remember his name but he was a retired NY State trooper). Price was considerably less than a ship excursion. Would recommend to others.

Fantastic tour guide - John! Kept us entertained the ride up and back with history and lore.... lots of local recommendations for food and drink after. The park was fantastic!! We walked the Nugget Falls Trail as John suggested and were rewarded at the end with awe inspiring views of both the Glacier and the falls.

Loved this trip. Need to be transferred from your ship to the centre of Juneau. From there you are bussed to the Visitor centre where you can view the Mendenhall Glacier. A short 1 mile Stroll takes you to the stunning Nuggett Falls. Afterwards your bus picks you up and takes you back to Juneau.

This is simply a ride to the glacier visitors center from the cruise port. The trolley was very cute and new and driver very nice and talkative.
Be aware- you get two hours from the time you are dropped off (ride there is about 15 minutes). You then meet and take the same trolley back. It is not 3 hours at the glacier center or “unlimited” time. If you want to do the hike to nugget falls you gotta be quick. Also unsure of “ entrance fee” situation. There were signs around the visitor center that a ticket was five dollars? But we weren’t sure if that was paid with our excursion or not.
Also be aware that not all ships dock right at the main Juneau dock. We were docked at “AJ” dock and had to shuttle in (or walk-but it was up an incline and along a road-we chose to shuttle). So factor that in to your time selection if coming on a cruise ship.
Sure there are other ways to get to the glacier center. Maybe they are cheaper but we didn’t mind paying for this excursion and not worrying about bus schedules or missing our ship. It was a good overall experience even though we initially felt rushed upon being dropped off. We made it to nugget falls at a decent pace and had time for pictures.

The tour is limited to the direct drive to the glacier. We enjoyed our driver, but we thought there would be more points of interest. It was rainy and we couldn’t really see many of the things called out like the Governor’s mansion.

We had difficulty locating the actual tour bus because it was not labeled as Viator since it was a third-party company. Once we found them, it was a great ride.
