Aloha we started off the day with a history lesson as we drive across the island to the North Shore where our day starts at the old Sugar Mill for a guided tour of our magnificent coffees and chocolates of Hawaii followed by one of the most unique souvenir shops on the island afterwards, we will take a short 7 mile drive to the sacred Valley of Waimea, where we will track 3/4 of a mile in through the sacred valley and rainforest, visiting at a Hawaiian village And ending up at a 45 foot waterfall with 110 foot pool at the base to go swimming (lifeguard‘s present) afterwards, we will trek back out and head into the beautiful town of Haleiwa for lunch where we will stop at the famous shrimp trucks of the North Shore. There are other foods available. The walk to Waimea falls...

The walk to Waimea falls is long and uphill a lot so people with walking hardships should take the shuttle. If I had been told the hike was mainly uphill, even though beautiful, I would have paid for shuttle with no question.

An Excursion of Variety

We liked the variety of stops and the shared information. My favorite part was swimming in the waterfall. Second favorite stop was at a blowhole stop, which was not listed in the itinerary. The bus was well kept, and Mike was very knowledgably.
