Was not aware how much we would enjoy this experience.
Completely welcoming luau adventure.
Food good, entertainment outstanding. Overall our experience was beyond what we expected.

An amazing experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to experience a luau. The setting is beautiful and the staff are amazing.

We have been to several luau’s and this is the best. Family owned and family oriented. We had the best time ever.
Susan_G, Jul 2026
Beautiful setting for the luau in lush surroundings. Excellent performers and the food was fantastic!

According to locals, this is the last family owned venue. The others are commercial. I think it’s just ok if you’ve never been to an authentic luau. The food was eh and the mai tai was kinda good. All plastic utensils and cups with paper plates. The staff was really nice. We almost got stranded because we didn’t realize that uber and Lyft aren’t out there unless a driver is dropping off. There is no landline to call a cab and the WiFi on your phone doesn’t work. We had to get the facility WiFi to get service. Terrifying. Make sure transportation is settled before you go. The waterfall was beautiful. Take the tram unless you like to walk. It’s a ways to the waterfall but the walk is informative. Too far to feel worthwhile. Getting stranded almost with just one uber driver back to Waikiki was what made it very difficult. Thanks anyway.

This was a fabulous experience! Educational, fun, great food and service! Fun activities before the show starts. Definitely worth going early and walking up to the waterfall and through the gardens before the show (We had a 12:30 lunch booking and arrived at 11am)

You’ll have a chance to be part of different activities before dinner and Luau show! It was a great and festive experience!

My family and I had a great time at the Toa Luau! The booking came with admission to the Waimea Botanical Garden and water falls, which were all so beautiful. Then the staff and entertainers at the luau were exceptional! The MC was very comical and had the guests engaged the entire time. The dancers and flame throwers were the same who served us and they took the time to meet and and chat with the guests. It was overall a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone that goes to Oahu!

Amazing time. Make sure to take advantage of the time to swim at the falls. I would recommend swim shoes as the rocks there are pretty rough on your feet. The food was delicious and the performances phenomenal. The best time!

Awesome! From the front desk through the back we're very friendly and nice. We had a wonderful time. I celebrated my 65 birthday at the Toa Luau and our anniversary ❤️

My husband and I enjoyed the performance. It was exciting and got a history lesson. I liked that it was a family project.

Truly a very wonderful family experience… you feel like Ohana when you are there ❤️ We have been to a luau many years ago, but this was a first for our family and they thought it was awesome!

When the staff say they treat you like family, they mean it! Our young Daughters were absolutely thrilled with the drumming and dancing heart and seen all night. Amazing walk through Polynesian island culture through story, dance, and song. The host was engaging, funny, informative and held our attention throughout. The food served was tasty and plentiful and all of us enjoyed more than our fair share. So much credit to each and every one of the staff members for creating an atmosphere that genuinely felt like being a part of Ohana. A humble thank you to everyone with Toa Luau:)

This was a wonderful experience that celebrates all ages of life and humanity. The chicken and pork were delicious, the entertainment was engaging and required audience participation. It felt like a family reunion and love and happiness were the key ingredients.
Kerri_C, Jul 2026
It was friendly, great food, wonderful experience, my girls are 4 and 6 and they got to learn so much of the cultral and loved all the dances! My 6 year old asked if we can come again next time we travel here..

The experience was fantastic! The folks at Toa Luau really work hard! The servers run the whole event, from creating educational and fun activities, to serving the food, to dancing and clean up. Truly amazing! I was impressed by the athleticism of the whole crew!

Location is amazing - you feel like you are in a serene lush jungle. The dancers were personable and skilled and very hands-on and personable. You felt like they could be your cousins, brothers, sisters, friends at the end. Food was good. Very attentive. Performances great. Humor fun.

We had a great time at the Toa Luau! We went on a Thursday evening. The surroundings were beautiful, the food was good, the dancing was well done and full of energy, the emcee was fun and informative. A family with 2 little children sat at our table. We had a good visit with them. We thoroughly enjoyed it all! The luau provided a gluten free meal for two in our family who both have Celiac Disease. We arrived early enough to walk to the falls and take a quick dip in the water but didn’t have much time to get changed. We should have allowed 2+ hours instead of just an hour and a half to experience the garden and falls. The falls and pool below were so pretty but very crowded. Thankfully the shuttle ($10/person cash) saved us time and allowed us to get to the luau area on time. Seating started promptly at 5:00 and ended at 8:00.

This was my first luau and I was super disappointed. My son, who was with me, had been to another luau and agreed. There was no fire knife dancing as expected or mentioned in the description. It was a lot of talking. Very boring. It was an hour 1/2 into the luau before we were fed. It was an expensive venture for little return. Don’t recommend. Find another one.
Cassandra_D, Jul 2026
We had an amazing time. The luau food and dancing was amazing. It was funny and educational and we really enjoyed it. It also was intimate and I doubt there was a bad spot in the room.

What a great authentic Hawaiian experience! I highly recommend! It was fun, educational, exciting and family friendly!
sheryl_m, Jul 2026
I missed the entire experience and am out several hundred dollars. We did not arrive at the venue in time due to road closures that we were unaware of. We received an email the day of to allow an additonal 30 mins travel time which we did, but that was still not enough. I asked for a refund and was denied.
Mathew_J, Jun 2026
The experience was great, with only the seating being meh, but again, the overall cultural experience was excellent. We were amazed by the dancing. The MC was great and engaging. Overall it was a wonderfully engaging time and it really gives you insight into the history of Polynesia and the different cultures within. I would recommend it for all aspects including the beautiful location with great historical significance.
Sarah_T, Jun 2026
We had a great time with family at the Luau!! The food was great and the entertainment was wonderful. You can also explore the botanical gardens and the waterfall before and after the luau. I would highly recommend this!!
