- CHECK-IN TIME: Check in is 45 minutes prior to the start time of tour. A safety demo is given 15 minutes prior to the tour, if you miss the safety demo you will have missed your tour
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Minimum age is 7 years
- All passenger weights must be advised at time of booking. 235lbs/106kg weight limit
- Long pants and covered shoes are recommended; bring a light jacket if the weather is cold
- We ride rain or shine. If canceled due to unsafe weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
- Phones or small cameras are allowed.
- No pregnant or intoxicated riders will be allowed to ride.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travellers

Our guide Sydnie was so kind and sweet and made our first time riding horse a special experience!! She told us lots of fun facts while also giving us tips on how to direct our horses. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful and shoutout to the horses that let us have a good time: Tonto, Scooby, and Bud :)

Such a beautiful ranch. Everyone was so nice and the ride was peaceful. We loved all of our horses. It was pretty awesome to see all female wranglers. We got there an hour early and walked around. Pet and fed the animals. 11/10 Experience. Definitely recommend!

Our family of 11 had the absolute best time horseback riding with Josh and Syndi! From start to finish, they made the entire experience fun, safe, and unforgettable.
Josh and Syndi were incredible tour guides—super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They made sure everyone felt comfortable, no matter their riding experience, and kept the energy light and enjoyable the whole time.
The horses were just as amazing—well-trained, gentle, and perfect for our group. You can tell they are well cared for and matched thoughtfully with each rider.
This was truly one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate—you won’t regret it!

We had a great scenic trail ride with Raegan as our guide today. She was so knowledgeable about the horses and the ranch. It was our daughter’s first time on a longer ride and everyone was so helpful to make her feel comfortable. We had some light rain during the ride but it did not affect the experience at all.

A nice gentle ride to some nice views with some lovely people. We will definitely go back when we visit again, but would probably ask for the more intermediate riding experience. I believe our guides names were Cooper and Connor. Overall, it was a great time.

Bring sunscreen and water, the people are very friendly and helpful. Wear jeans and sunglasses to prevent dirt in your eyes.

Our tour guide Alana made the ride both enjoyable & informative. The scenery beautiful from the higher trail point my unicorn 🦄 horse made my ride an easy one. I would suggest long pants & comfortable close toe shoes. Mahalo Alana we would definitely go again 👍

Our guides were amazing! Hunter and Lon were informative and knowledgeable about the ranch. These guys showed us a great time. Wear proper clothing - I’d recommend long sleeves, eye protection, and closed toe shoes as the ride will get dusty. The views were amazing. Just a peaceful adventure. I enjoy supporting local, family owned ranches. Thank you guys!

This was the most peaceful & insightful experience. Berdan was a great host & gave us historical facts & shared his own personal stories of being a cowboy. Mochi & Ikaika were friendly & well trained horses. They knew exactly where to go on the trail & I never felt uncomfortable. Would 100% recommend if you are visiting!

Fantastic experience to bring family, friends, or anyone to. The wranglers are SO kind and accommodating and the horses were easy to manage and sweet.
Amazingly fun activity if you’re interested in seeing north shore part of Oahu!! Gunstock Ranch is the perfect place to have the best of both worlds between ranch and beautiful ocean views. Thanks guys!!!

Went with my teen daughter for a horseback ride. Lon was our ranger. He was very friendly and educational. The ride was enjoyable and it was a wonderful experience! My horse was IKAIKA. He was very strong and sweet! 🌺 🐴

My 2 kids and I had such a wonderful experience on the Gunstock Ranch. The horses, the ride, the views and our tour guides were absolutely amazing! Before and after our ride we got to pet the horses, cows, goats, and bunnies that were on the farm. The staff not on our tour were all so sweet and helpful and made us instantly comfortable and welcome. We would definitely recommend this experience.

Whenever my daughter and I travel, we always look for a horseback riding tour and cultural tour—she loves horses, and I enjoy learning about different cultures.
The tour at Gunstock Ranch was the perfect blend of both. Not only did we experience breathtaking views, but we also learned about the rich history of Hawaiian paniolo (cowboy) life.
The guides were interactive and tour length was just right—not too short, not too long
Lastly, for those that care all their horses looked to be so healthy and beautiful!

My wife rode on mochi and I rode Mowgli the horses were great and super calm. Overall great experience and well worth the trip

This is a great experience with an awesome, kind and welcoming staff. The horses and trails were amazing. I haven’t rode since I was 6. Just like riding a bike. Our guides, Sydney and Cody were amazing. Sydney was very knowledgeable about the ranch history and grounds as well as sharing favorite spots to see and experience on the island. My horse Boon was a gentle horse but was also set in his ways. I would definitely recommend this activity. Great for families with littles. They also have a petting zoo and clean restroom. Things to purchase as well as pictures. Loved it and would do it again.

Summer was a great tour guide. The horseback tour we had was small and more private which i liked. My only issue was that My horse kept getting her butt nipped by the horse behind me, causing the horse to get scared and slightly run off the trail. I asked if we could switch horse line up to avoid this issue and they didn’t advise. Could be a safety issue if i wasn’t an experienced rider. just my opinion but overall the experience was lovely.

I really enjoyed Heather our trail guide. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the horses and it felt safe. The trail was nice enough and the horses were amazing. It was so good to see them all running freely and looking healthy and happy. But it I would not call that a Paniolo experience. The ad is misleading. Nothing about it is authentic Hawaiian/paniolo. It’s ok to use your own words to describe the trip. Like “organic” natural horseback riding experience. Ad is misleading.
