Exceeded Our Expectations!
Exceeded our expectations. Joel was a very knowledgeable guide. Just as advertised, we saw many wildlife including bear, eagles, salmon, sea otters, sea lions, and harbor seal and whales. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Joel knew lots about the geography and wildlife. What a delight! Would recommend this to anyone visiting Sitka. It well worth our time and money.

Unforgettable seaplane flight
Absolutely spectacular experience — one of the best things we’ve done in Alaska. Our pilot, Jackson, was exceptional from start to finish: knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about sharing Sitka’s beauty. We saw multiple humpback whales from the air, then landed right on the water for a close-up look at bears on the shoreline. The flight took us over breathtaking mountains, snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and stunningly clear water. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Well worth the money, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Sitka without hesitation.

Great Tour!
The guide, Cora, was local and very informative! We got information on this tour that I have not heard on multiple previous trips to Sitka so I was very happy to have taken it. The tour van was modern and comfortable. It was a smaller tour in size which is better than the huge tours you get from cruise ships. We were able to hear and understand the guide clearly. The Fortress of the Bear is a must see in Sitka and this tour was amazing! We arrived at feeding time and it was a special treat to watch the bears interact with the handlers. The guide, Cora, was especially great at telling us all about the bears. It was a wonderful tour we recommend to everyone. As a note, we are older, hearing impaired and a little mobility challenged but the tour was amazing!

Great experience!
The tour was well-conducted and both operators were professional and fun at the same time. Jack was our tour narrator, and she told us so many facts and anecdotes that we felt very well-informed. Our captain also did a great job getting us to the areas where we could see humpback whales, sea otters, seals and bald eagles.

I would do it again! Best experience in Sitka
Incredible experience! Captain Matt is very professional and caring! He made sure we saw all the wildlife and everyone left satisfied. Boat is top notch, you can sit inside or outside, hot drinks and snacks are available, plus binoculars provided for everyone! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed and it will probably be your best experience in Sitka!

If you want a close encounter to wildlife
Brads boat was small and fit 6 people. He knew exactly where to go and we hit the jackpot being surrounded by 50 humpback whales. We stayed there quite awhile to get the full experience and good pictures. Then went to see seals and sea lions. Loved, loved, loved the experience and he was so easy to work with. Much more intimate than the huge whale watching boats. We could get much closer to the animals with a small boat. Don’t think twice! Book it!

A highlight of our time in Alaska
Excellent experience! Our guide was a local from Sitka who was quite knowledgeable and considerate of my limited mobility. We had plenty of time at the bear fortress, totems and raptor center, and he even had time to stop and take our pictures at Silver Lake. Sitka was one of the highlights of our time in Alaska.

Totally Worth It!
Plenty of time at each location! Our guide, Liz, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared tons of insights about the local area currently and historically. I wasn’t expecting our guide to provide tour content at each location, but she spoke to us in depth and provided the same information I heard later from some of the facility employees. 10/10 experience!

An efficient way to see Sitka.
This was a very convenient way for us (4 adults, 2 children) to see a lot during limited time during our cruise stopover in Sitka. Yes, one can save money by doing this on their own, but the convenience of being picked up at cruise port, taken to the places we wanted to see (Totem forest, bear sanctuary and raptor center) and actually getting there in time is of great value. Add to that the knowledge of Michael, our guide, who shared a lot of interesting info about the area (and brought along 2 car seats for the kids). In the weeks prior to the tour, the operator was responsive as we put together our personalized itinerary.
One reminder: if you book this make sure you check into whether you need to buy on your own the timed bear tickets in advance. They go fast in cruise season, and the time you end up with is relevant to the timing of the other visits.

Great way to see more than just downtown!
Knowledgeable, funny and friendly tour guide! Nice small group tour. Downtown Sitka is great but if you want to add something more to your day this is a fantastic option! Lainey was so knowledgeable about the native wildlife, plants and history of the area. Highly recommend this as a way to get more out of your visit than just browsing the shops downtown!

Simply Amazing Like Advertised!
My family and I did a tour of the Best of Sitka and we had an amazing time. We had a party of 12 so we had our own van and got to see all cool parts of Sitka. I enjoyed seeing the bears and the Eagles. Our driver Christian was awesome! What I loved most is that this tour was offered for twice as much through the cruise line. They scare you with saying their tours will wait for you. What you will find out is the companies they use are the companies you can book yourself. I highly recommend this tour in Sitka.

Wonderful experience - highly
We were on the Raven with Captain Bailey, Karley, and Dave. The boat is clean and comfortable with complimentary hot coffee, tea, chocolate, and donut holes. Karley is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what she does. I couldn’t think of a more enjoyable way to see whales, sea lions, and sea otters. It’s our first trip to Alaska and all we hoped it would be.
