What are people saying about Charleston

Good experience
The ferry ride is about 30 minutes each way. About an hour on the island. Rangers are awesome, they give a lot of information. We went on the first morning tour so got to see the flag lifted for the day. Seeing the fort was a good experience though there’s a lot of sadness associated with the war. The canons are amazing.

Charming, entertaining...
Charming, entertaining and informative. I booked online an hour before the tour and had such an enjoyable time. This is a wonderful way to get a feel for the history of the city and so much more. Our guide, Al, was knowledgable, entertaining and so very nice. His delivery was unrushed and didn’t feel canned. I wish I had time to do the tour over again.

Great day for a horse and carriage ride!
We were warmly greeted at checkin. The facility had water available for purchase and bathrooms. There was seating as well. The ramp to board the carriage was safe, convenient, and easily accessible. Our driver Justin was fun, knowledgeable about locations and history of Charleston. His 2200 pound draft horse Roger did a great job. A delightful hour of information, sites, and beautiful weather. Would strongly recommend this tour..

A Winning Tour
Oct 2026 Our guide Duggar was like a modern day “trail blazer “ leading his 2026 colonists to both picturesque and historic highlights of the “Holy City”. His charming personality and his keen insights of the history of the city enhanced our fondness for this very special city Duggar was a total pleasure and anyone would be lucky to be one of his colonists

Charleston tours introduce visitors to the city’s two biggest draws: its heritage and its harbor. Take in the city highlights with a vintage horse-and-carriage ride, go modern with a tour bus, or slow things down with an expert-led walking itinerary. Alternatively, pair culture with cuisine on a historic district food tour. Once the sun sets, the city’s haunted history comes to the fore with ghost tours and spooky pub crawls. Pair your explorations on land with a harbor excursion, whether it’s a ferry to Fort Sumner or a harbor cruise for daytime sightseeing, sunset drinks and dinner, and wildlife spotting.
