Must do big island adventure!

This is a "must do" while on the big island. They picked us up at the shopping center near our rental (didn't have to drive to Kona) and then transferred us over to the 4x4 vans for the trek up the mountain. There was a bit of a delay when one of the vans wasn't working properly but the owner was able to get a second van to us after a short delay. The crew was all great and energetic about what we were seeing. Be aware that it is VERY cold at the top of the mountain and you want to be sure to wear the appropriate clothes... they do provide gloves and the parkas, which are needed. We spent a little more time with the stargazing but being able to see things through the telescope was really interesting (young kids will struggle with this time though). They do have nice snack bags with a lot of goodies and the hot chocolate was a nice touch!

You're Gonna Lava This Tour!

If you are fortunate enough to get Hannibal or able to request him as your guide do so! He is a Hawaiian gem and should not be missed. Your entire tour will be filled with fun facts, stories, jokes and anecdotes galore. You will be laughing the entire time and the time will fly by. Black sand beaches, banyon trees, fauna, Macadamia nut plant, lava tubes, steam vents, and of course Mount Kilauea caldera rim observation are all packed into this tour and worth every second. Do yourself a favor and take this tour.

Amazing adventure to the top of Mauna Kea

Amazing adventure to the top of Mauna Kea! Francis was the best guide! He was friendly and knowledgeable about Hawai’i- its history and geography and about the telescopes. He kept us entertained and well informed the entire trip. He also took dozens of amazing photos of everyone in our van. We were provided with sandwiches, water and hot chocolate and with parkas, ski pant and gloves since it is cold and often windy at 13,800 ft. Watching the sunset from above the clouds was amazing. The star gazing was not as good because of a full moon but our guides still showed us all the visible stars and constellations and we saw the moon through their telescope. I highly recommend this once in a life time experience!

Great tour of the island of Hawaii

Kevin was a fantastic guide!! He was chill and down to earth. It felt like we were just visiting a friend driving around the island. He told good stories and the day was filled with great interaction for the group of 9. (Our group and those that who flew in from Oahu.). I recommend doing this like we did our first full day so we now have a good idea where we want to go the rest of our free time! This island has sooooo much to see!

Best Sunset Cruise Ever

Captain MX was friendly and personable and made the sail really special. His helpers, Randy & Brook were also great, even though it was Brook's first night. This was one of the best things we did on our Hawaii vacation. We've taken quite a few sunset cruises around the world, and this was by far the best.

An undersea voyage over a healthy coral reef, including wrecks and descending to over 100 feet. Abundant marine life described by an informative and entertaining commentary. Definitely a have-to-do...

Definitely a have-to-do experience when you are here. I read that over and over when I was planning my trip but wasn’t sold until I actually had done it. Now, I know why so many recommend this experience. It was worth staying up after my bedtime to do🤣. We saw so many rays, too many to count, and other sea life too. We even saw a non-people eating shark! We were so close to them, sometimes being touched by them. Our guides Bryce and Manu were knowledgeable, fun, and safety conscious. We were in good hands!

It was AMAZING. They are such beautiful and magical creatures. The way they swim and dance in the water is so graceful. Capt Mike, Fisher and K were great. An absolute must unique experience!

This was truly one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. Night snorkeling with manta rays is something so unique and unforgettable—it’s hard to even put into words how incredible it felt to watch these graceful creatures glide right beneath us in the dark ocean. What made the experience even better was how professional and attentive the guides Lena, Madi and Tamae were. They took the time to go over the snorkeling equipment and provided extra help to anyone who needed it, which made everyone feel comfortable and confident before getting in the water. Throughout the tour, they were extremely attentive—making sure everyone was safe on and off the boat, and checking in regularly while we were holding onto the floating platform. Their care, organization, and genuine enthusiasm really stood out. I felt completely safe the entire time, which allowed me to fully relax and enjoy the experience. The GoPro photos and videos they provided were such a great added bonus—an awesome way to relive the experience afterward. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting—absolutely unforgettable!

Surfin’ Safari Helicopter tour

Great helicopter tour of Hilo and surrounding areas. Views of lava landscape, craters, macadamia farms, waterfalls and coastline. I think the pilot is a degreed geologist with minor in Hawaiian history. He was very knowledgeable and made the trip that much more enjoyable. Ask for Cookie, and tell her the Mercedes guy sent you. She was great with the reservations and confirmations. Everything was perfect. Safari is located at the commuter terminal at the end of the airport terminal loop. Cookie, the Mercedes is being built this month.
